Wise LLC is outstanding in project management. Despite the language barriers and cultural differences, we’ve still aligned the way we work. We communicate through Skype, email, and phone calls.

In addition, Wise LLC’s communication has been excellent so far. Our partnership with them is exemplary of how we want to work with outsourced agencies. The project is going really well.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wise LLC?

We had a very complex project and needed someone to provide outsourcing services to ensure the project's success.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wise LLC helped us with programming and web development. Specifically, they worked within Drupal, where we had a lot of work to do. We started the project off by creating a general plan. We decided to split to process into two phases.

First, they went through some of our graphic design work. Wise LLC took care of any missing elements to our existing designs.

Afterward, Wise LLC developed the basic structure of the website. They built the fields we needed on Drupal and all the necessary features we asked for. Lastly, they applied the graphics and finalized the website.

Around six teammates were assigned to the project, including two programmers and two project managers.

How did you come to work with Wise LLC?

I found Wise LLC on an online platform, and their portfolio was very appealing to me. I also saw that many of the team's projects were on Drupal, so I chose to work with them.

Throughout the entire project, we spent about $11,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

The project lasted from March–September 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Unfortunately, it's too soon for us to give any metrics. However, the functionality was excellent. There was one minor design issue, but we will fix it very soon.

How did Wise LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Wise LLC handled the project very well. The timeline was well-planned and calculated. They shared some documents that detailed the scope, and I checked their progress using a spreadsheet.

However, in terms of sticking to the agreed schedule, they fell a little behind. We expected them to finish by August 2021, but it took them a little longer than expected to deliver the main features.

We mainly communicated via Skype every month. We also had daily chats before the launch.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work was truly impressive. We enjoyed our experience working with Wise LLC.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could've done a better job of sticking to the schedule. It was a massive project, but they promised to finish it by a specific time and ended up completing the project a month late.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend Wise LLC to anyone seeking web development services.

I was delighted by them. They’re very professional and understand discretion. They reached the goals of this project and delivered more than what I expected. 

How did Wise LLC perform from a project management standpoint? 

Communication was easy and fast. If something wasn’t clear, they asked questions to get a better understanding. We communicated through the Upwork platform. We had one weekly call, but otherwise, we used the chat function. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Two previous companies had failed to do the repair for this Magento platform. It was a complex project because there were so many errors. Wise LLC not only fixed the platform, but they upgraded and optimized it.

Wise LLC developed and launched a new Web Site . The project began with a discovery workshop, which let us be on the same side. Once all was approved, the actual production began in the form of 2-week sprints. The functional versions were ready for user testing and feedback every two weeks.

Team composition, or the configuration of team member attributes, is a key enabling condition for effective teamwork. The project team had about 5 people, but certain individuals would come and go depending on the skills needed. We had a project manager on our side and simply used Wise LLC recourse on demand.

Project was developed and launched exactly on time. Brilliant completion was a major achievement for us, we signed an extended contract with our vendors.

One of our clients has been using a custom built, but very outdated Microsoft Access application for in the field auditing. The application only ran on windows and had no central server, which forced them to use virtualization software and left a high probability of data loss. We hired Wise LLC to help us build a native MacOS application that synced with a Drupal 8 backend to replace the antiquated Microsoft Access application.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a native MacOS application that supported working offline. We needed to generate pdf's on the fly with our without connectivity, and we needed a centralized database so administrators can access all data in real time.

We searched for a capable team through online sites like upwork and after reviewing past projects and several conversations, we were happy to hire Wise LLC.

They designed, developed, configured, and launched a new backend business management solution. The project began with a discovery workshop, which let us reach a mutual understanding of the business challenges and goals. Once we approved the workflows, the actual production began by developing the required webforms in Drupal 8. Once we had the forms designed in Drupal, including validation logic, the developers began work on the native MacOS application. Ultimately they took the forms and logic from Drupal and integrated with the native app, adding additional features including offline functionality, local storage and more.

We had 2 project managers, multiple developers and the Drupal side and multiple developers on the native app side.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This was a large, complex project, but we were able to complete all requirements. While we are still a couple weeks away from deployment, the solution is being tested by the client team and we're experiencing an abundance of positive feedback. We've eliminated the need for additional software purchases / installations (virtualization software / windows), moved all data to a centralized backend, and enhanced the functionality through the use of modern software.

Project management was complex for such a large project but the team was able to effectively deliver on target deadlines and provided very fast turnarounds when issues arose.

The Wise team has a strong work ethic and is willing to go the extra mile to deliver results on time.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since the launch of the new site, the average time spent by users on the site has increased ,the number of pages visited per user session has increased too. These factors had a positive effect on the overall conversion of site users into the Bank's client.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We decided to use 2 project managers. This solution was created during the project. This happen because we clearly understand web development process and creating a new ideas.

One of PMs clearly understands the current situation and process. Another one can always generate new ideas. Sometimes they change his own places. From the business analysis phase to the release, development was carried out according to the Scrum methodology with two-week sprints.

At the end of each sprint, we received a part of the finished functionality. This approach allowed us to practice agile management of the development and change requirements on time in order to maintain the relevance of our product in the face of constantly changing business trends.

After the release, we switched to the Kanban methodology in order not to tie the implementation of tasks to sprints.

Web development professionalism, ability to solve any issue, and speed of task execution impressed us the most during the cooperation with the company "Wise LLC"

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sure. We have an improvement plan for this year (also, next year too)and we're really happy to work with this company. Our site is constantly evolving, adapting to the requirements of the market and new trends in technologies. We do our best to improve the user experience during interacting with our service.

We have hired Wise as a contractor to develop and maintain our websites. Our business is e-commerce. We partnered with this company to create and upgrade, as well as provide technical support for four of our company's sites, which had different language versions and were based on the Magento platform plus Pimcore as a product catalog. The contractor created a number of site instances for us and set up a backend solution.

• The Contractor conducted an audit of our website, created multiple instances of the website for us, and set up the server solution.

We had a mixed experience working with the IT company. While there were some challenges, including delays in updates and quality issues due to recurring bugs, which were not always promptly resolved, as well as difficulties with technical documentation. We also felt that the contractor team lacked sufficient professionalism and experience in handling our project. Moreover, we did not receive adequate feedback from them during the project. 

However, despite these setbacks, we appreciated their efforts in addressing the issues and their willingness to work with us to find solutions.
