We had an initial discovery meeting and we discussed the objectives and what we expected. We provided the open AI Files as well as the script, vo and the storyboard. Chehak went through everything, we discussed timelines and then she started. Within a week we got out first draft, we reviewed and we had a few updates which she made. Process was seamless.

We shared the final animation with client and they loved it. We will be adding it to YouTube as well as clients website.

I am looking to get a 2D video illustration done for our website. 

What were your goals for this project?

We'll be starting with the creation of a higher fidelity story with static graphics as a draft, and if my team likes it, we will consider you for the creation of the 2D video. Description of work as agreed upon and set out in the attached document. It will be split into 2 phases. 1st phase: Providing us with a higher fidelity storyboard. So this should include the static graphic elements of the various scenes, so we can decide if the style is in line with what we are going for 2nd phase: That's when we want the full animated video and all the deliverables.

How did you select webdew?

We managed to hire Chehak on upwork. She submitted her proposal and we were very impressed by it.

We would like our video to be largely animated with illustrations (vs. live-action etc.). Ideally, these illustrations should be consistent with the illustrations on our website. Here is an example of a graphic that has a background and color palette that we like. There are gradients and background elements used in a thoughtful manner so that it doesn't look so flat. We are looking to create an explainer video that gives our potential customers an idea of what our solution is, and what kind of problems we solve.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

It was very fuss-free and Chehak was very communicative. Everything was done very promptly.

I gave the designer my business overview, she wrote a draft script, I edited it for content, phrasing, and personalization. Then she built a storyboard and I again gave edits by printing off the slides, writing comments on the slides, scanning the slides into a pdf, and sending them back.

She made the final changes. In the meantime, I secured a local voiceover talent and recorded the script at a local recording studio. The studio produced the audio and sent me the final audio. I chose the background music from two examples that the designer sent. I sent the final voiceover. The designer worked on it for a few days, and then I received a draft. Only minimal changes needed to be made, and she was happy to do them.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Back and forth through UpWork. Very flexible and amenable.

It ended up being a great video that accomplishes the goals I laid out.

Since I was working with one person, it was fairly streamlined and very effective.

When you hire someone from across the world, you don’t know what to expect. I was impressed with the professionalism of their designer and the quality of the work.

I’m the CEO of EYENET, an AI startup. We developed an AI assistant that is a daily advisor for daily life. It can help users in different domains of life like personal care, personal finances, vacations, etc.

We needed help with animation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wrote the whole speech and storyboard and how it should be done. The webdew team recommended a lot of stuff in terms of animation and what’s possible, what’s not, and what’s recommendable to be eye catching. 

The deliverable was the animation itself, which is for the website. It’s more like a philosophy animation. It’s a story about our philosophy.

I worked with an animator.

How did you come to work with webdew?

I chose them because the animator was really nice and understood the requirements really quickly. She gave us a really good feeling when we talked to her. I found her on Upwork. She was one of the first to respond.

The total cost was $350.

The project took place from November 2020-January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re an amazing agency and we had an amazing experience with them. We were really picky on what emotions we were trying to generate on the video, and webdew was really persistent and patient until we got the concept. They were really skilled in animation.

I’ve gotten really good feedback from investors. It’s a slow-paced animation. People in older generations love the video and the story. It’s definitely achieved its goal.

How did webdew perform from a project management standpoint?

She was extremely patient to understand what we were trying to create. Her customer service was really good. Communication was really good not only with chat but calendars and milestone dates. She was available 24/7. We used Upwork.

The requirements changed a little bit but they were really patient. They did an amazing job with the storyboard. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

She’s a very talented animator and really persistent. She’s really great. The quality of the team is amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re really talented. They could have scaled the technologies of animation they’re using. That’d help them a lot in acquiring bigger clients and being on the trendy side of animation.

I definitely recommend webdew. Try to be clear on the requirements.

To complete 60 minutes of videos in a 2 week deadline at a high quality level of output.

How did you select webdew?

Searched for video production companies online, interviewed a select few, as well as asked for a demo for 60 seconds of one of our education scripts. They were the best from the 3 we looked at, and were able to meet our intense deadlines.

Videos depend on the course, however there were many motion graphics incorporated into the videos, as well as voice over. Each of our courses have 6 modules, and there were a handful of videos per module that we needed to get produced.

We would provide Webdew with the video scripts, which had animation guidelines, as well as voice over scripts. We also provided them with our colour pallet to use.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Feedback process was that the video is submitted to us as a draft, for our team to look over, provide comments on and then the revisions are made in a timely manner. It was a smooth process.

We were impressed with the level of quality and ability to meet out deadlines on such short notice. Each video was produced to our specific requirements and they all fit the same style/colour guidelines.

Their workflow was as effective as it could be, considering the differing timezones, and the deadlines on short notices over the holiday break period (Xmas and New Years)

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to follow out script guidelines and bring the animation and graphics to life in a way that was aligned to the vision that our Learning Designers had. From a feedback point of view, the revision were made without any hesitation, and the final output was of a high quality.

We were looking for an organisation who could help us build explainer videos to explain the concept of cashback. Since we didn't have any in-house expertise in this, we looked out to hire an expert who can implement their strategic skills and find a solution for us.

What were your goals for this project?

We were looking to expand our reach to the global audience and 1 critical factor in that was to introduce the concept of cashback to them. Video is definitely the best channel of communication and we wanted to get an expert on board to deliver the message correctly.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for different agencies who had experience in creating explainer videos. After talking to multiple agencies, we finalised webdew based on the work that they had done for other clients. We particularly loved the work they had done for Uber and we wanted to experience a similar quality of work for Khojdeal.

Once we decided that we are going ahead with Webdew, we started with discovery phase meetings. The idea was to explain our goals and objectives very clearly. We received a lot of genuine suggestions while we were in the discovery phase itself. It was amazing how an outsider could throw so much insights into our business. We finalised on creating a series of videos that would guide the user in different phases of the user journey.

What was the team composition?

I worked with 2 account managers from Webdew. I am not aware the structure of the delivery team. This ensured a hassle free coordination during the engagement.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we started using these videos, our user engagement rate has grown by 48%. The videos help the users complete the journey with minimum friction points.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I would say it was a very smooth coordination during the course of this engagement. We were well informed over Skype regarding project updates and if need be, the project manager was available for a quick phone call.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As I mentioned above as well, I was impressed about the research they did for us even before starting the project. They had insights that even we couldnt see, being inside the business. Secondly, it was a hassle free communication during the entire engagement which is always appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We received a great quality output and I cant think of any areas of improvement for the engagement that we had.

For what projects/services did your company hire webdew?

We hired Webdew to create 6 isometric animated videos for our target audience based on certain pain points. Each video was anywhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long. We created the storyboard and gave ideas of what we wanted the visuals to look like.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals for this project were to drive more awareness to Plannuh and create a simple way to connect with our audience. Also, we have launched these videos on LinkedIn Ads and are using them to generate new leads for our database as well.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended to me by a colleague of mine. As a start-up they also made it affordable enough where it was a no-brainer on whether or not to work with them.

After defining our target audience, messaging, duration, and goal of the videos we worked on the storyboard and submitted to Webdew with an idea of how we wanted the animation to go. After that, we reviewed the storyboards of the animation they had created and submitted our feedback and reviews. Next, we received the animation without the voiceover to see how the transitions looked. After the voice over was approved we received the final videos.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Webdew was so great to work with! Not only did they work with us on the numerous changes that we later discovered, but they were also extremely available and communicative. Chehak was our POC for this project and she kept me in the loop for stages of the project and was also able to meet our very quick deadline to get these videos up and running. We will definitely be using them for future projects and have already praised them through word of mouth. Very impressed!

We are already generating leads through the videos and have been enjoyed both internally and externally.
