What challenge were you trying to address with Weband?

We had a project to build a simple website that offered basic information about a product and contact information. Even though we do web development in-house most of the time, we were a bit low on resources and had a lot of other tasks, so we decided to work with an outside company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Weband developed a website for us. We had three major phases of development. First, they built the site and put it up for QA and testing. Then, we performed tests, and they fixed bugs. Finally, they delivered the final product.

After the site launch, the team offered us a one-month warranty to fix bugs and anything we might have missed. Currently, we’re addressing the last few issues. Then, they’ll provide us with six months of site maintenance.

What is the team composition?

I'm mainly in contact with the project manager. We've also had a few meetings with the designer.

How did you come to work with Weband?

We made a shortlist of companies that we could work with and received offers from many providers, including Weband, who had good credentials. We reached out to them and had a few meetings. We found input from third parties and received endorsements from friends and colleagues who’d had experience with them or had heard of them. Ultimately, it didn’t take long to choose them due to their reputation and the offer they gave us.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent €3,000 (approximately $3,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although we don’t have metrics, Weband has met our agreement. They had 54 working days to finish the site before testing, and they managed to do it. They’ve done okay with everything since; we’ve given them feedback, and they’ve reacted fairly fast.

How did Weband perform from a project management standpoint?

We had some issues with email communication at first. However, we fixed it by organizing additional meetings via Microsoft Teams to address important issues, fine-tune communication, and ensure everything was going smoothly. In this meeting, a technical person, a QA specialist, and I are involved from our side and a designer from theirs. We now talk about the issues we can't describe adequately through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Weband sticks to the timeline and delivers what they say they will. I’m pleasantly surprised that there have been no delays.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could avoid miscommunication. As mentioned, there were some issues at first where I was not sure that the project manager and the developers were always on the same page. Like me, the project manager isn’t a technical person, which likely created some confusion. However, we resolved this within a few emails and meetings.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to formulate all questions very clearly so that there isn’t any miscommunication between you and Weband.

I am a co-founder in an early stage start up, providing software as a service. The product aims to help managers and leaders in small companies motivate their employees with publicly available reviews about their specific achievements.

When we started working with Weband we were at idea stage and needed a reliable supplier to create, test and maintain a web based platform with unique set of features and innovative concept behind the product.

We have initially received a recommendation, followed by a series of meetings. Once we started the process of explaining and scoping the project we were quite pleased with their responsible approach, which they kept through out the whole project.

It was a collaboration between our team and business objectives at one hand and the front/back ends team of developers on the other. We have provided the wire frame and the prototype, while Weband was completely in charge in delivering the systems needed to have a working platform. A well delivered MVP, followed by a thorough and detailed testing, which resulted in a product ready to be launched and already on the market. We keep working together to deliver new and more sophisticated features.

A fully dedicated project manager, who also helped us immensely with expert advice on business development. Two front end and two back-end team members, additional team members have been assisting as per project's needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We managed to have a fully operational and working product as per the very initial idea, no pivots, no major issues, no compromises and no pending tasks left! We are confident that we can expect even better results in the future releases.

The project management style can be defined by one word — responsibility. The team has a very rare sense for a gentleman approach, i.e. once you have their word you can rely on it! Communication tools would include: scheduled meetings, crash meetings as per required, google docs, emails, bug tracking and task sheets, toggle plan, etc.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The sense of responsibility, commitment and dedication. We are now collaborating for more than year I can literally say it is a pleasure to see and work with such an approach in a business setting. Reliability is what defines the Weband team.

For the price-quality ratio the team provides, nothing can be improved as you get a pretty good deal.

Initially, based on our Figma prototype, they created and enhanced the first website design and developed it from scratch, using UI/UX design, front-end development, and performance optimization. Since then, we had multiple subprojects for Weband to further develop, and they have been very responsive and always striving to meet our deadlines.

We received a fully functional, responsive front-end with a great user experience (UX) and fast load times. The website is scalable for future updates, which is important for us since we are continuously adding new features.

The first project delivery took a bit longer than estimated, but given the project's size, this was understandable. Weband Studio still delivered a great final product and was always quick to respond to our needs. While this was an exception, they went the extra mile, putting in extra effort outside regular hours to help us complete important tasks for our first sales pitch. Their dedication and flexibility are key to the success of our project.

We have chosen Weband as our partner and a web agency to trust for building a brand new club website. From our first meetings where we gave them the brief and the idea for the new site to the creation of the fully finished product, Weband were absolute professionals and fulfilled all of our wishes and recommendations for the construction of our new website. 

In the process of work, they were engaged and provided us a prototype developed by their UI/UX team, both on the desktop and on the mobile version. In addition to the design and appearance of the site, they offered very sensible solutions regarding the functional part of the site, as well as menus, categories, internal links and many others. 

During the developing process our communication was also more than a smooth, responding to each of our inquiries and recommendations in a very professional and responsible manner.
