I’m the brand manager for Eurocar Ltd. We created the SKODA Kodiaq, which was the first sports utility vehicle (SUV) of its kind for our brand.

Apart from providing comfortable cars, we wanted to invoke positive memories and elicit bright reactions from our customers. Our goal was to create a wow effect while also highlighting all aspects of our new car.

They created a set of AR/VR apps to support our promotional campaign. The team used Unity to develop the apps and incorporated 3D graphics into the experience.

They assigned a project manager who served as our main point of contact, but there were also 3D modelers, QA testers, and Unity developers. We trusted the project manager to accurately communicate our ideas to the rest of the team, which was a testament to their high level of professionalism.

With their amazing apps, we were able to create a persuasive AR/VR experience for our customers, which really elevated our promotional campaign. Their exceptional 3D graphics were key to the apps’ success.

For what projects/services did your company hire WeAR Studio?

We wanted to create a virtual reality store for home appliances, such as fridges, vacuum cleaners, and pressure cookers. It’s supposed to be a virtual dimension with realistic 3D models that users can access via their smartphones and tablets.

What were your goals for this project?

We aimed to provide our customers with the most personalized and comfortable shopping experience imaginable. With this virtual shop, customers can look at all the objects from different angles and buy them with one click.

SOLUTION

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

We only had an abstract idea of the virtual store. WeAR Studio gave us more than we expected, creating a concept for the virtual store and building a demo version of it. After doing some market research with the demo, we found that the app would be very popular, so we invested in building it.

All the bulky home appliances were modeled with great detail by WeAR’s 3D modelers. We later agreed on a UI/UX for the mobile app, which was built for both iOS and Android platforms. It was important to us for them to be bug-free.

Our virtual store for home appliances is now accessible for all iPhone owners.

We have hired WE/AR Studio for developing a WebAR experience for marketing in order to raise awareness of our new product range and to increase our sales results.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have found WE/AR Studio naturally by searching the Internet. The fact that they have been on the market for 8 years and have the necessary experience, along with a pleasant introduction and a competitive quote, made us decide to enter into the cooperation. We were looking for a company that had already done something similar to our idea and We/AR had a few such projects.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work included development of the WebAR experiences for mobile devices using Zappar instruments available in 3 different languages for different variants of our product. WE/AR team helped us with the search of proper animation and provided suggestions on resources. Also we’ve provided them with voiceovers for 3 languages and some additional animations that was custom developed and they have created 3 versions of the same experiences for us.

I was in communication with Sales representative first, then the communication was doen through their Account Manager. We also had Project Manager and UX/UI designer and Unity developer on the team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project will be launched in a few months and we’ll be able to see the outcomes.

The project management style was as follows: we’ve agreed on the scope of work and next steps on regular weekly calls, where the Account Manager could also gather the feedback and answer questions and they would then get back to me after the outline have been done for review. We regularly synced on the progress and discuss the next changes on video calls, as well as via email.

We had a few rounds of edits, so we could change something in the project to improve it. Outside of that, we were informed in advance during the RnD process about what type of content we’d need to provide the team with and what would be needed from our side to finish the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

WE/AR was very responsive and quick to implement changes and requests, add or replace some content. I didn’t expect such a quick reaction. My communication with them was very pleasant and friendly. .

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had to develop some content ourselves, perhaps if it could be done through their company as well it’d be more efficient.

We wanted to share the possibilities of interactive meditations with the public.

We searched high and low, interviewed a number of the top AR/VR companies in the world and found them. WE met at the AWE confereence in Santa Clara last fall.

Built in Unity, it was an apk that also linked to other apk's we already had. Also had some demos of future enhancements. It included haptics.

WE worked with a range of people but Daria the principal and Yevgenia were our primary contacts. Always patient, efficient and on time. The fact that they delivered on time even though it was the very day the Russian invasion started was extraordinary.

We've not releaseed it to the public, but a demo for 150 new VR users scored 85%.

Our most recent product is a game controller for Xbox/PS/PC. First, they would brainstorm ideas about what to do, then they would create documentation. Next, they created app and character sketches, before moving on to character modeling. Finally, they would develop and test the app.

It’s hard to say because we really didn’t measure anything. It was more of a branding project for us.

They showed us a functional prototype 3 weeks before the deadline, so we had the ability to make minor corrections to the work.

Their CEO communicated directly with us. They were always willing to contribute their own ideas and truly cared about providing an exceptional experience.

They could work on including our team earlier in the process, even before the initial brainstorming on the agency side. I already communicated this to them, though.
