Minipeeps is a design and technology company focused on developing revolutionary products for corporates and the consumer by merging design, technology, and packaging. I am the CEO and Founder of Minipeeps.

For what projects/services did your company hire WeAR Studio?

We selected WeAR Studios to develop the complete front end AR application for our new AR Communication Platform ARGRAM. WeAR Studios developed our first proof of concept application and then provided the complete AR application linked to our backend.

What were your goals for this project?

Successfully develop and submit a full-featured AR communication application to both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. This application should be linked to our backend communication and AR content management platform.

I met several AR/VR development companies at MWC 2018 and WeAR Studio stood out. Their Business Development Manager, Mariia Tintul showed interest in the project we were trying to build and enthusiastically provided help, feedback, and guidance.

Once I got back and the complete platform requirements and application requirements were set, we created a systematic assessment of 4 different providers with respect to price, quality, time, and commitment and selected WeAR Studios.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The developed solution allowed us to launch our products GREETOYS and MEMOMUGS in the Lebanese market successfully and created a great B2C sales revenue for the company.

The product as well allowed us to enter the B2B market and are currently in talks with very large corporations in the region that want to use our platform in order to communicate to their clients and potential clients through AR.

The project management was great, timely, and very effective. Everything was communicated clearly through email and Whatsapp and any issues raised up were dealt with quickly through meetings and workshops.

I’m a project manager at Alfa Bank JSC, the corporate treasury of the Alfa Group, one of the largest private commercial banks in Ukraine.

We hired them to provide us with 3D content creation and AR module development that we could integrate into our native app afterward.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to impress our VIP guests and sponsors for a jazz festival. Also, we wanted to be among the first Ukrainian banks who dare to use AR/VR technologies in their sponsorship activities.

WeAR Studio helped us with the ideation, which was very helpful. Also, they had the expertise to develop and integrate an AR module into our native iOS app.

They created an AR module and then integrated it into our native iOS application. Part of the functionality was dedicated to the festival: the user scans the logo of the festival and a 3D lion appears in AR and plays a few jazz songs on a sax. Another part of the functionality was designed to scan and interact with Alfa Bank credit cards. After scanning the card, detailed information about the bank’s products appears on top of the card in 3D format.

We worked with a Unity developer, a 3D artist, a project manager, and a QA engineer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Their involvement improved brand exposure. The festival had over 5,000 visitors who saw our AR activation. We were one of the first in Ukraine, especially in the banking industry, to present an AR case as a sponsor of an event. Social shares and discussions created a buzz and interest in us.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They actively engaged with our developers. Their management went really well and the release was done on time. They met the deadlines without hustle.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were constantly in touch with us, and it was obvious they wanted this experience to be successful just as much as we did.

I’m the former platform product manager at CloudMade, which produces AI-based solutions for automotive vehicles.

We hired WeAR Studio to develop an AR-based solution to demonstrate CloudMade technology to key players in the automotive market.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to present CloudMade AI solutions to multiple automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) at a consumer technology convention in an immersive and innovative way. Impressing the customers and conveying the value proposition of CloudMade solutions were key objectives.

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a team experienced with AR technologies—someone who will not only develop according to the tech task but also provide consulting and R&D. WeAR Studio had a combination of these skills.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The idea was to show the vision of the future user experience with a digital instrument cluster in the car powered by CloudMade solutions. WeAR Studio developed the mobile AR application, which helped us visualize the products. It demonstrated our vision for functions and interactions with the digital instrument panel, onboard computer, and holographic navigation on the windshield in the car. The main challenge on this project was to properly recognize the inside car parts as markers for AR, as well as consistently and correctly map virtual content on top of real objects.

We used the AR solution hundreds of times to present CloudMade solutions to key automotive companies' top managers. It successfully conveyed the message we needed.

WeAR Studio’s project manager was always in touch and provided us with the updates. The project was done on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What stood out most was how dedicated the WeAR Studio team was. They handled the project end-to-end without needing any micromanagement from our side. The team was very familiar with the latest tech in AR and suggested optimal solutions for the project.

We hired WeAR Studio to develop an AR application for both Android and iOS that interacts with printed magnets that feature our mascot.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase the interest, love, and loyalty to the brand among the generation Alpha (customers born from 2010 to 2025). We were hoping to boost the general brand awareness, social media exposure on a market and, for sure, to grow the sales.

We selected WeAR Studio because they do full-cycle development (programming, 3D art development, and project design). They do all of their development in-house, and their team has decent expertise in AR/VR technologies. They also showed themselves to be very proactive.

They provided us with mobile app development on Unity, UX/UI design, and 3D content development with animations and VFX. The project itself is a mobile application with augmented reality that interacts with 25 unique printed magnets. Users collect magnets with a brief set of instructions on the yogurt package, and each magnet comes to life in AR to tell its story about the space or planets.

We had a project manager, a UX/UI designer, a Unity developer, several 3D artists, and a QA engineer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sales grew even more than we expected. Also, the app was downloaded more than 300,000 times and was listed on the Top-10 best free apps on the Google Play Store in Ukraine.

The social media exposure was great. Many young YouTube bloggers reviewed the app on their channels, and some of the videos they made have millions of views. We successfully combined fun and education, thanks to WeAR Studio.

It was great. Our project manager was always in touch with us, and we had daily communication and status updates. Also, the project was published on time.

We were impressed by the level of communication, their responsibility, and the creative ideas that they offered around 3D content.

Our goal was to make the magazine of the future with an AR application. It had to display the latest news from our website, open an electronic version of the magazine, and, of course, impress people with an augmented reality mode.

Our challenge was to make a more interactive magazine that allowed the audience to spend more time exploring it and feel new emotions.

They came up with an AR application that allows a user scanning the pages of the magazine to find hidden content: video, audio, 3D-animations, as well as advertisements. It also has an admin panel for dynamic loading of new image-markers. They content instantly appears in the application.

The goal of the project is to create highly engaging AR experiences based on the bottles that will go to market. We wanted to use the beta version of Instagram's all-new AR effects.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project’s completion was a major achievement. Due to the timeline, we had to deliver multiple AR effects every single day for five weeks straight. WeAR Studio maintained the pace of delivery and helped us meet our submission deadline.

We had clear points of contact and received quick responses around the clock. WeAR Studio’s responsiveness was much appreciated. They also easily adapted to the tools that we needed to use to keep the project on track and to share assets.

It took a bit of time to learn the new beta platform. But once that was completed, everything went very well.

The biggest goal was to impress our customers and inform them about our facilities while bringing more awareness to our brand.

WeAR Studio built an AR app that interacted with our branded calendar and book. With the app, users could scan the images in the calendar to learn more about our facilities. The app would display a series of 360-degree panoramic photos detailing the various stages of steelmaking. Users could then move around by pointing their device in different directions. Scanning images from our book would display videos about our products’ manufacturing process.

Together with our calendar and book, the AR app made for an impressive and useful present for our clients. It was a great opportunity to introduce our manufacturing facilities.

I’m a product and project manager of OKKO Group, an oil and gas business.

We wanted to build an AR application to provide visitors to our gas station with a festive mood during the winter holidays. We envisioned turning our stations into places where people could rest, drink coffee, and feel positive emotions.

What were your goals for this project? 

We wanted to bring magic into peoples’ lives through the most common of routines: drinking coffee. Using advanced technology would help us both create a “wow” effect and improve our sales volume.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We turned to WeAR studio with this request because they have a very strong team of 3D artists. We were confident in the quality of their animations.

We prepared special coffee cups with the company’s mascots, which the AR app would bring to life. The festive characters sing Christmas songs to users as they step off the coffee cup. Users scan the special coffee cups using their phones, and that activates the OKKO mascots. People also have their choice of song for the characters to sing. The more coffee a user collects, the more characters they see singing together. There are five company characters and five festive songs in the app.

What were your goals for this project?

The AR app needed a smooth user flow across both iOS and Android versions. We also had plans for continuous development and new features, so we needed to find a reliable partner for the long term.

A friend who had worked with them in the past recommended their team. In the initial interview, they shared some of their current projects and offered to do some test apps for free. I was really lucky to find them.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

First, they helped us develop a product requirements document (PRD) and a plan for the project management, design, and programming processes. Then, they assembled the UI and built the backend systems for both iOS and Android devices. The platform is programmed to offer a full AR experience through phone cameras. Users point their device to the sky to view the AR content.

They provided a project manager, a UX/UI designer, a few coders, and a testing team. It was a well-rounded combination of skills.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The app attracts and serves its target audience through novel and creative technology. Overall, the system met all of our expectations and satisfied our end-client.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It was great. We had biweekly meetings to discuss plans, scope changes, bugs, and any other important components. They were very timely and organized, submitting a detailed and professional report along with the final delivery.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were responsive across a variety of communication channels—email, Skype, and even WhatsApp. They delivered on every aspect that fell within the scope of the project.

They could lower their prices a bit.

I am an art director for Art In Heaven GmbH, a German company that designs gift items and greeting cards.

We hired WeAR Studio to develop an AR app for a gift wine featuring a “live” label that sings, dances, and speaks. 

What were your goals for this project?

The goal was simply to test the product and determine its marketability with our customers.  

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We contacted them after finding their company listed in a business magazine as a top ten AR developer.

Describe the project in detail.

We sent them several wine labels with accompanying videos or animation. WeAR built the video player, set all the markers for recognition, and created the app. When the app is opened on a phone, it initially appears like the camera function, but comes “alive” when it recognizes the label. 

What was the team composition?

The company has approximately 30 employees, but we worked primarily with the CEO. She was fast, professional, and patient, and explained everything very well. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because this was solely a test campaign, we can’t provide feedback in terms of numbers. However, our 100 testers loved the product and thought it was a great new idea. The app has also been approved for the Apple and Android app stores.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Both the workflow and communication were great. I always received an immediate response, even after hours.   

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their speed and dedication to our project. They must have worked overtime to accommodate our demanding deadline, yet they were incredibly supportive the entire time. I have never experienced this level of focus, optimism, and determination with past vendors. This company has passion and heart.

We had no issues. This was a small project and we were completely satisfied with the results.
