What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since we launched the website, we've experienced an increase in business. Roughly 45–50% of our improved traction has come from the website. Since travel has resumed, we've received a lot of positive feedback too.

Unico’s communication was good, so their team was clear about the project’s costs and timeline. They ultimately delivered on time too.

I was impressed by the quality of their work. Unico quickly understood what I sought, so I only made a few changes to their work.

I’m happy although I would like it if they charged less.

The ERP works for us but the requirements changed a bit. We need several changes and add-ons to accommodate our new requirements. 

What they put in place helps to have all the legacy data for every customer and every sale. It allows us to manage services. As a manufacturer of electric vehicles, there’s a product lifecycle. It allows us to have the product details and customer details.

Most communication was over the phone and email.

They were always available for support and completed the software well.

There’s nothing I felt they should do better.

Our pain points were :

1. Documenting the work progress on site

3. Manage the worker payments/salaries as per total time worked on each site. We were looking for someone who could develop an end to end solution which would help us log all the entries from Day 0 to Day of Handover, also calculate the costs pre-emptively and warn us if we go overbudget

I found them via mutual acquaintances, and speaking to the owner, I found them to be very professional and result - oriented. Hence I trusted them with my high - value project.

They designed and used Laravel tech. UI was on point and delivery was on time. They delivered more than they had promised, they really helped with the layout and architecture and helped in choosing the right platform.

Initially we would require one person to log the data for one site, after this software one person could log the data for 3 separate sites, This gave us a reduction of 66% cost of data entry.

Communication Tools used were Zoho Projects and Skype. Timeline was of 3 months which was adhered to very strictly.

The company is owner-driver and he personally attends to all your concern which helps regulating the quality of product

Our work was done exactly as we wanted. So I do not think there's anything that could have happened differently

Communication tool was zoho project if i am not mistake and from time to time it had been communicated with me & my team for all the updates.

I’m the CEO of Industrial Security and Protection Services, a security provider company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Unico Connect?

I needed to keep track of 700–750 security guards across the state. I wanted to use GPS to monitor whether they were on time, whether they were at their particular site, and whether they fell asleep at their post. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed an iOS and Android app. Every half hour, the security guards are supposed to use the app to update me so I know they're awake. I can also track them before their shift to make sure they arrive on time.

I had one point of contact who didn’t work on the app, one project manager, and three mobile app developers.

We spent about $15,000.

We worked together from March–August 2020

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m very satisfied with the mobile apps. They’ve already solved more than half my problems. Since I made all my security guards download the app, my employees have peace of mind that the security guards are doing what they’re supposed to do. On top of that, I’ve received feedback from my employees who have said the app has saved them a lot of time. Everything is working more efficiently.

Since we’re so happy with the mobile app, we’re considering building a web app with them as well.

There weren’t any delays in the timelines they shared with me. Everything went smoothly. We used Zoho to communicate.

My project manager communicated with me daily. I was never kept in the dark. If they a problem came up, they always communicated it to me.

They didn't need to improve anything.

You should communicate daily with your project manager. I’m not a tech person, but they explained everything to me very well.

I am the promoter for Global Ispaat Pvt Ltd, a construction steel manufacturing company based out of Goa, India.

Based on this, I held an extensive discussion with Dipen and his team. As per the discussion, i decided to go ahead with UnicoConnect for my project.

I held an extensive discussion with the team at UnicoConnect. It was decided that a custom web based solution needs to be designed since our business industry and requirements were unique. UnicoConnect designed laravel based system to record data entry related to purchase and production. Extensive workflow mockups were designed and shared with me and my team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our data entry, which used to be recorded manually became digitally stored on cloud which can be managed, analyzed in real time. This led to improved data analysis and recording. We were able to cut down on our store costs by 5% based on analysis of vendor records and reduce production breakdowns.

The project management style and tools used were quite efficient for us. We used Zoho projects for coordination on project workflow and timelines and for informal discussions relied on phone calls and whatsapp.

I was impressed by their Agile development methods and ability to stick to deadlines.

I am quite satisfied with their work ethic and the final product.

We had a basic idea, but they developed the architecture and initial prototype on Shopify. Then they solved any issues we had per my requirements. Unico Connect guided us through the project and gave us suggestions. To improve the site’s positioning, they told us where to put plugins to increase the speed of the website.

Everything has been really working well. Once or twice, we’ve had a minor issue come up, but Unico Connect has always been available to help us. We hope to work with them again to build an app once our business scales up.

Overall, it was a good experience. They were very easy to work with. Communication was very fluid and they always responded quickly. There were one or two issues, but nothing out of the ordinary. They gave us a project management tool that we could use for communication.

We were always comfortable working with them because they were kind and explained how everything worked. We really bonded with their team and trusted them.

We were really happy with their work, but they could have completed the project a little faster.

We wanted to build a website connected to our software database where people could learn more about the bank’s financial products. The platform needed to provide more details about our 100–200 types of financial products, including the prices and trade volumes. We also wanted a simple UI.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Unico developed our web-based application in an ERP format. They used Pronto and connected the product to our internal transaction database. Their team also designed a simple UI/UX. A user can type a product into the platform and then receive all of the product’s details. Users have to receive approval to use the app, so it’s not accessible to everyone.

I had a main point of contact but 10 people from Unico supported the project.

A friend previously worked with Unico and recommended them. After we contacted them, Unico promptly replied to learn about our requirements. Their team wanted to understand our vision and opportunities to improve it.

Unico delivered great results on time. The project’s outcome was exactly what our team envisioned. It’s exactly what we needed. Unico provided a simple and modern UI. If someone searches for a product in our portal, they can easily find its details. I had a great experience working with them.

Unico met all of the project’s deadlines. Two of Unico’s team members worked in our office, so we constantly interacted with them. We also connected with their team through Zoom. It was easy to monitor their progress.

If we had any queries, Unico promptly replied and resolved them. Although we had many privacy conditions and restrictions, their team was still able to deliver the product.

It wasn’t a problem but if more people from Unico’s team were involved in the project, we could’ve completed it earlier.

Our company is manufacturing packaging products for different industry sectors depending on their requirement. We are a family run business and I am the owner and director of the company.

We wanted to build a customized lead management system as we have a lot of customized products with over 500 SKUs going to different industries. Its hard to maintain log and track of every lead we get as we cater to small quantities of 100-200kgs to big container load as well.

We hired Unico to understand our sales process and build a system which will reduce work load of our staff and they can manage their leads in an organized fashion.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have now a flow for our leads and my staff is better organized in handling them resulting in more sales. The backend software is loaded on our local server so that security and data of our leads is maintained as well.

Communication was mainly through emails and telephonic/web calls . We had monthly/bimonthly face to face meetings as well with my team to discuss out our initial requirement .

I was updated on the whole project from time to time and they delivered one month later than what was expected but our requirement was also customized accordingly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The software team understood our problems and issues quite well and delivered a unique CRM system for us. I think the software and management team worked on timelines , accommodated changes as we demanded and made working with them quite comfortable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Apart from one major delay in middle of the project which was due to their unavailability of resources which was resolved soon enough, rest of the project went quite smoothly.
