Techgropse initially provided a fixed project scope and price that has changed over time due to poor advice and poor initial designs. The team has delivered the first version of the app with several issues. Techgropse delays update deliveries and has stopped responding to messages. This review is an update by the client company. We are a Saas business that has a trading platform for produce wholesalers.

Automating the wholesale produce industry.

What was the scope of their involvement and team dynamic?
Solution was a sass application. Over the last two years we have built a web application for large scale produce wholesalers. Our application fast tracks users order process and has features that allows them to automate their packing process and track their purchase orders all in one easy to use application. This was a two year process of iteration and improvement with businesses at the Sydney Produce Market, one of the largest produce markets in the world with a turnover greater than 3 billion a year.
What's the status of this engagement?
For over two years we were building and improving the application together with techgropse our dedicated developers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with your partner evolve?
Our relationship has not been easy. We initially began our projected with fixed scope and deliverables and price. We started with a thorough plan for our application, this however was changed over time due to poor advice and poor initial designs from them. The first version created had several issues but we were forced to keep paying milestones in order to progress. We then paid for two dedicated developers who were also working on other projects at the same time which was not known to us. This resulted in long wait time for updates which was incentivised due to our ongoing monthly payments. In the last month we ended further payments after 2 years of monthly payments as we believed we just wanted warranty support for the last month due to bugs. In order for us to keep paying they have taken our code to our application and is no longer responding to us after a 2 year relationship.
In what ways can they improve?
Significant design improvements are needed as well a less incentivised cost structure designed to stretch our projects for further payments. Also greater professionalism to maintain contact especially after significant payments made by there clients.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
My advice is simply not to use Techgropse. Ensure you have your own dedicated developers who you hire directly and not through an intermediary like this. These development shops are built to just take your money and keep there payments going without any care for the quality and your needs.

Techgrospe was able to create all our ideas into reality and worked consistently whilst we worked to build our ideal platform. I highly recommend their services. They were able turn all of our ideas into reality regardless of the complexity, which if we had attempted to do locally would of cost us significantly more and may have even not of been possible due to the difficultly.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our application is currently at a level where wholesalers at the Sydney Produce Markets are able to now use the app. The average revenue for a business at the markets is over 40 million AUD a year so for business of such size to use our app and be able to have a significant reduction in admin costs due to our app is a big achievement.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The team worked in a very timely manner. Due to us constantly iterating and improving the application we needed a quick turn around to test new features and ideas. The team worked well to make changes and add new features in spans of days and even just a week for entirely new pages and features which allowed us to reach the level our application is now quickly.
What was your primary form of communication with Techgropse?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive thing was the fact that even though we new some of the ideas and features we were adding were complex and the team initially didn't have experience in adding some APIs such as the MYOB api and other features, they always were able to figure out and make it a reality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Techgropse could have done differently?
I think the team worked well under our high demands, and there really isn’t an area where we expect them to improve, if anything I think we could of done better in our design process earlier on but this is on us not techgropse.
