Techgropse developed mobile app from scratch for us. We provided the wireframes during the RFP process. The app was designed to be used for food and Beverage services , The entire app development process lasted only three months, so we decided to expand on their role. The Techgropse team then went into doing different things for us.

They had around 10 people in total, which included developers, business analysts, and project managers. I was mainly in contact with the project managers.

We have more than 5 thousand downloads and many happy customer and clients.

The team was very proactive and flexible in allocating additional resources when required by a specific project roadmap. They are highly professional and innovative. We are very pleased with their efficiency, compliance, excellent professional level and innovation, they are excellent at what they do. Project deliveries was on time and within the budget.

I’m one of the four partners and co-founders of a company that sells pre-owned luxury cars. We aggregate and upload our dealers’ inventory on our website to generate leads for them.

We hired TechGropse for their web development services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechGropse developed our website from scratch using HTML 5, React.js, PHP with Laravel, and MySQL. 

At present, they provide maintenance services to us. We have a long-term roadmap for our product; after developing the website, we plan to add a complete B2B marketplace for dealerships.

We’ve worked with seven people from their team. I’m also in touch with one of their founders, along with a business analyst, a graphic designer, a web developer, a backend developer, a tester, and a product manager.

I reached out to 8–9 teams as I was looking for companies near New Delhi. TechGropse submitted a quote, which seemed cost-effective for us. The team had great communication and responded proactively. They were also highly enthusiastic about working with a startup, so we hired them.

We’ve spent around 300,000–400,000 INR (approximately $4,000–$5,000 USD).

We started working with them in September 2021. They completed the website by mid-November 2021, but they continue to make changes and improvements to it, so the engagement is technically ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of TechGropse’s work is great. In fact, we’re quite relaxed from a tech perspective since they’ve handled everything as my own team would. We experience no issues with them — they’ve done a great job. On top of that, their cost is nominal and their resources provide great support. 

How did TechGropse Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

TechGropse is quite good at meeting deadlines. As an example, we were quite strict with the timeline because we wanted to finish the website before a certain event. The team promised to deliver within a certain timeframe, and they did. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our plans have been fluctuating. However, I haven’t had any issues regarding deadlines. We use Trello boards to check what they’ve done and what they're currently doing. We also communicate over Skype and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their co-founder has explained to us the project’s roadmap and their process of executing it. His explanations are clear and in so simple a term that I can understand them even though I’m not a tech person. Overall, he’s made my life easier, and I no longer have to go back and forth with them just to ask questions. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

TechGropse is a great company with highly-skilled people. If you’re a startup or you don’t have a clear concept of the market, then reach out to the team. Their founders are highly technical and willing to provide free consultations to create a concept that will fit your target market. I meet with a lot of other business owners who want to create something but aren’t clear on what software or technology they should use. TechGropse can help them out in that without charging anything.

I’m the president of an entertainment media company. We make film, TV, and digital media content, and this was our first foray into mobile apps.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechGropse Pvt. Ltd.?

It was a two-fold business challenge: we were trying to develop an app, going into an area we hadn’t done before, namely mobile games. I’d used two other firms to try to get this game built, and I came to TechGropse third. They satisfied everything I needed for the game.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially wanted for TechGropse to build me a prototype. I didn’t know whether the mobile game would be actionable, and I wanted to use the prototype to raise some funds. I’d then go to another firm to do an MVP and launch it. It ended up that I was very pleased with how TechGropse did the wireframing, so I had them go all the way to the MVP.

The game is called “Word Knot”. The game is like Words with Friends meets poker meets Beat the Clock. It’s a person-to-person game in which seven letters get placed on the screen, and the players have one minute to make as many words as they can with them, either real words or fake ones. After that minute, they have 30 seconds to check their opponent’s work. Each letter is worth 100 points, and the winner is the first to get to 5,000. It usually takes three rounds of play, which are done in about five minutes. If a player is caught submitting a fake word, they lose the points.

What is the team composition?

We have a team of six people at TechGropse, including a project manager, a delivery manager, and two senior engineers.

How did you come to work with TechGropse Pvt. Ltd.?

I started on this task with two state-side firms that couldn’t execute. I’m not in the space and I was looking for someone to do game development. I found a list of the best game app developers on Clutch and sent emails to 3–4 companies. TechGropse got back to me, I had a conversation with them and we moved forward from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost will be $110,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The first call was in March 2020, but the project didn’t begin in earnest until September of that year. It’s ongoing. The mobile game was an idea that started floating around five years ago, and we only made it actionable in 2020. I was going to take it in small bites, starting with a prototype and MVP. We now have a prototype that we’re going to launch in a couple of days. I may use them to build another game five months down the line depending on what happens with this one.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m sending links of the game to friends, so the feedback so far is only anecdotal. They’re enjoying it, and I’ve gotten some notes for changes. Going forward, the KPI I’ll be looking at is daily active users. The game doesn’t have in-app purchases, so revenue is strictly ad-based. I’m trying to transition the game into different media. If the game gets enough users, I’ll be able to pitch it as a game show. I don’t want to lose money with the ad-based model, but I’m not trying to maximize the game for purchases or other criteria. I just need the game not to lose money and to get some traction.

How did TechGropse Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We have meetings over Skype and Zoom. Their communication skills are good, and I’m comfortable with them as a team. They’ve kept me in the loop, constantly, since the beginning. When we shifted from the prototype to the MVP, we had a four-week window, and they met every deadline we had. The project manager was excellent in terms of communicating with me.

We have a 12-13-hour difference. We initially had meetings at 9 a.m. my time, but I realized that it would be better for their workdays if we shifted to 9 p.m. my time, and we kept that up. As we were closing up, we met every day for a couple of weeks. They sent me notes after every meeting.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Since I’m not from the mobile game space, the most impressive thing is that they took their past experience and helped me. They proposed things like push notifications and took what they knew about the mobile game world and gave me ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Having been burned twice, I was really pleased with them. Aside from the time difference, it’s been great.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

If the client has a clear vision of what they want to do, TechGropse is a fantastic option. I didn’t give them a blank canvas. They came with some great ideas to make it better but I knew what game I wanted.

Ajjerlli features are getting safe and full privacy transportation. Ajjerlli Application has an Interactive map and taxi tracking payment method. They can select a model of car by their choice and book a car online. Their team worked according to our app requirements as we wanted.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Due to the company’s introduction to the market still being in its early stages, we are still collecting and measuring the impact of our engagement with TechGropse.

Most of our communication went through the project manager, their designers and developers would also be directly involved in discussions. They coordinate with our internal systems and generate data necessary for the development, they timely coordinate with us in every necessary phase of developing an application.

The app is innovative and user-friendly and helps customers keep track of their transactions in real-time. It’s the digital equivalent of a passbook with advanced features, such as the ability to tag a particular transaction for future references.

It was flawless. As a result, the platform was launched on time and within our budget. I didn't expect that kind of involvement from a third-party software development company. It was as if we had an in-house team of extremely motivated people that was also proactive during meetings.
