We're working on a blockchain-powered web application platform. Together, TechAvidus and us are designing, building, and testing software. They act as our full-service offshore R&D team for the platform's front and back ends. TechAvidus collaborates with our own staff to carry out development. With them, we're conducting two-week agile sprints that contain all of the typical agile process's activities, including as demonstrations, sprint executions, and planning.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I'm certain that I can work with them to create this platform.  They genuinely want to complete the assignment they were hired to work on effectively. I had never managed an outsourced job before. While we haven't experienced any problems with TechAvidus, their performance hasn't quite matched that of our internal staff. 
I like that they see projects holistically rather than breaking them down into their component parts (e.g. not in terms of developers, project managers, and so on). They can also offer other services like DevOps, which have nothing to do with development or quality assurance.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

I can't claim that there haven't been any problems, but they have a clear communication style, a formal procedure, and they are responsive. TechAvidus has been incredibly accommodating to our needs. They are highly accommodating when we ask for a certain method of working with the team. We've missed a few deadlines, but they were missed by days, not weeks or months. They've also tried to find solutions for those problems.
Although they have a really positive attitude, I believe that "excellent" is a bit high. When it comes to their roles, their management group excels. They take great responsibility when something goes wrong. Jira is one of the contemporary technologies we use for project management. We communicate in English exclusively, and they speak it well. Most of the people don't say much. Although not the finest, the primary team's spoken English is enough and understandable for the task.

The firm operates using well-defined procedures. They're adaptable and flexible to the needs of the client. For instance, as an extra need, I've asked them to provide CI-CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) services. They thought it was a significant issue and were open to talking about the project's delivery and complete process. The desire for a larger invoice was not the driving force. They get an 8 out of 10, which is excellent for a squad that isn't mine.
I've employed outsourcing companies from several different nations and have collaborated with a few Israeli businesses. While not all of those encounters were positive, TechAvidus offered one that was.

We needed to follow a few important steps to build a website and Digital marketing for the Shree Tapovan Midbrain Center. Being non-technical I did not had exact details, but I shared a few competitors website, pages I want and some rough ideas. They prepared figma designs, sent me first home page and after few revisions we confirmed it.

First, we had to define our requirements and design the user interface. It involved creating a plan for how the app would look and work, which we did by making wireframes and mock-ups. Once we had a clear idea of what I wanted, we started with other pages of the project. It meant building the software, coding the needed features, and ensuring everything worked as expected. After that I assigned them Digital marketing part of my company and they are doing very well in that. In Digital marketing I expected fewer leads than what they are sending me right now but I am more than happy on this part… We have started working on mobile app project to manage our other branches, locations, teachers and its still going on.

The tool should integrate with HubSpot to generate a pipeline for business development. The survey tool should be designed to ask a series of questions related to our products and services.

Based on the user's responses, the tool should apply logic to the answers and display a result that identifies the user's specific needs or pain points. The result should be displayed on the screen and also sent to the user via email. The tool should integrate with HubSpot to create a pipeline for business development. When a user completes the survey and receives their result, their information should be automatically added to HubSpot as a new lead.

We would like the tool to also have the ability to segment leads based on their responses and assign them to the appropriate sales team member for follow-up. Overall, we are looking for a high-quality, custom-coded tool that is user-friendly, visually appealing, and can generate valuable leads for our business development team.

TechAvidus was hired to develop an MVP for an enterprise SaaS application that served as the springboard for sales and further development.

TechAvidus was selected for the following reasons:

1. Had a team people to ensure necessary talent to develop the app
2. Able to deliver in the required timeframe
3. Accessibility - team members able to meet with me as needed

TechAvidus was to develop the enterprise app based on clearly defined wireframes and deliver the MVP, in accordance with our written contract, no later than September 25, 2021.

For the app, and per the agreement, the backend was to be Node.js, frontend, React,js and database MySql. The completed app was to be loaded to AWS.

3-4 people, excluding Bhavesh Tarkhala, formed the project team.

They included:

• 1 or 2 developers - this was unclear as I never met or spoke with them as the Chief Developer was the point of contact for the developers

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Unfortunately, it was a disaster. They missed the deadline by a mile and never completed the job, built the app to run on a local machine versus enterprise, wrote the backend in C# and used MsSql for the database.

Once loaded on AWS, it continually crashed and required frequent re-setting. After agreeing to make all the corrections, they started work but once I brought in an independent PM who provided them with a laundry list of problems, they vanished without a word.

No transparency, infrequent updates and lots of client blaming whenever pointing out issues with the software. They preferred to use Skype for communicating.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

At the start of the contract, I felt they did a good job outlining the deliverables and managing my expectations. Unfortunately, this all changed once the work started.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

1. Adhere to the terms of the contract, no matter how inconvenient they may be once things go sideways
2. Provide updates as promised - no excuses and no lying about providing updates when they did not occur
3. Stop blaming or gaslighting the customer every time TechAvidus makes a mistake
4. Provide back-up for employees' frequent absences. Too many times family members were in the hospital, non-stop holidays, personal illness - with the work coming to a complete stop
5. Be people of their word. When agreeing to a refund, they need to give the refund. Period.

We received a complete application with the features we required. The TechAvidus team kept us informed all the way, we had weekly meetings and they kept us on track when we were slow to provide feedback.

We primarily used skyp and email to communicate. As mentioned they stay on top of everything and pushed us to respond so we can make our deadlines. We worked with senior people which allowed for quick decision making.

Friendly, competent people. They were all a joy to work with, and the value is great. I know several groups that have had projects much less complicated than ours pay USA developers hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are a joy to work with. They are available 24/7. I don't think they sleep much.

The project will go best if there is a clear understanding of what is required. Screen shots for the application and reports is a must and clear statements of what the program is to do is going to make the project go smoothly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

TechAvidus delivered the project on time and 10% below the budget. We encountered a lot of challenges with changing the requirements and design, yet they continued to deliver, even with unclear requirements. We also found minimal defects in the production.

We worked with them for almost a year, and the app was launched successfully on the App Store and the Google Play Store. I had a very good experience working with them.

TechAvidus' project management style is excellent. They are organized and highly skilled, but still willing able to explain everything to a lay person in a way we can understand.

They provide recommendations and implement solutions to complex problems. They never miss a deadline and are in constant communication through whatever means we need them. We tend to communicate through email and Skype chat/calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to process convoluted and complex direction from us, to make sense of it, and to implement it. A well run company starts from the top and TechAvdus' principal, Keshu, runs his company well. His whole team is organized, efficient, and talented.

Not really. They took our complex job and they did fantastic. We continue to work with them everyday on issues big and small and they have never let us down.
