I'm the owner of 4Ever Roses. We supply flowers, specifically roses, to convenience stores and gas stations. We deliver to 800 locations across five states and are compensated for the roses sold.
What challenge were you trying to address with Softqube Technologies?
We used paper invoices to track our stock, what had been sold, and the money we collected from serviced locations. Once I received the invoices from my drivers, I had to input all the information into our tracking program to ensure the invoices and money collected from the locations were correct. Everything was done manually, and I needed to automize the process.

Softqube Technologies streamlined our invoicing process by developing a simple Android application we can use on a tablet. However, before they started the project, I met with their team to discuss how my business was run. Once the app's first iteration was done, we ran testing before launch.
With the app, all our drivers have to do is input the relevant information when they drop off and pick up roses at serviced locations, and a bill is automatically printed. Since our customers get the invoice immediately, they can pay immediately. Our drivers can then see the running total of how much money they've collected from our locations via the app. There is also a function that gives drivers directions to the next location they have to be at.

We needed help with developing a custom software piece for our daily operations that met all our requirements. Among the functionalities required were a check-in and check-out functionality, a CRM system for sales, and more.

Softqube helped us build our proprietary revenue management platform. The hotel industry is fragmented and contains many different brands, making it challenging to access data. Softqube helped us develop a platform that aggregates data across many different hotel and property management and revenue management systems. They helped us with both back- and frontend work. The technologies they used were Microsoft SQL, .NET, C#, and the platform was hosted on AWS.

We work primarily with about 3–4 developers at any given time. Three of them have been with us since the very beginning; they have really low turnover. We have some developers that really understand the product.

This isn’t necessarily their fault, but the time zone and communication are sometimes difficult — we’re in the US, and they’re in India. However, we overlap for a few hours in the morning, which helps. Other than that, they should just stay current with the latest technologies and continue finding new solutions to problems.

I recommend that you come up with good project management software, and you really need to engage with them on a daily basis to get what you want. Stay in touch with them to keep the product moving forward.

We use Teamwork and their team uses development tools where they keep their work. Every morning we have a meeting via Skype. We’ve also used WhatsApp to connect. Whenever I’ve reported an error, they’ve responded to it urgently.

Their team makes me believe I’m their only client. I’m happy with their work. When I don’t have my specifications polished, their team will fill in the gaps. That’s owing to their extensive experience. I’m not always an easy person to work with, but they always find a way to make me happy.

Before you engage their services, know exactly what you want because they work on tight schedules. Their team provides resources on specific tasks and doesn’t like repeating tasks. Develop a good business case. Most of the time, I will drive the architect of the solution. If you only give vague ideas, the engagement might not work as well.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner at Sunsoft Eduware Solutions LLP, an online learning company. We are into innovative, educational software. When our company started, the Cloud wasn’t available and we started with offline software.
What challenge were you trying to address with Softqube Technologies Pvt Ltd?
We hired them to develop a system where teachers could communicate with parents who wanted to be more involved in their child’s day-to-day studies and help with homework.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We brought our requirements to their team and had several meetings to come up with more ideas. They brought new thoughts to make the system even more user-friendly. Then, they developed our web-based system and mobile app and tested it.
The web portal allows teachers, admin, and staff to log in to the system to access all the rules provided by the school. The parents have access to the same information on the mobile app. There are over 300 institutions associated with our product, so their team continues to make customizations and maintains it.
What is the team composition?
Our engagement began with 14 people including a project manager, developers, and a QA individual. The scope continued to grow and we increased the team size to 22–23 people, so a very strong development team helps us.
