SlideUX spent a few weeks interviewing key stakeholders at iteach to learn as much as they could about the business. Then they facilitated customer and prospect interviews. From there they began working on wireframes for key pages of our site as well as sites architecture and new pages.
Then they went through several rounds of feedback from our team to hone in the key needs of the pages and design elements. In all we got 5 key pages of our site completely overhauled and their UX ideas helped us redesign the site and launch a brand new site just a few weeks ago.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our site just launched a few weeks ago, but so far the on page experience metrics are very promising. More time on site, more pages per visit, and more events. So far our performance has been strong as well, but we're still evaluating that in detail.

A manufacturing parts distributor has hired Slide UX to redesign their site’s UX. The team has led a discovery process and created wireframes and design guides for 12 screens using Miro and Figma as tools.
Slide UX’s designs align with the client’s vision. Moreover, their work has made the transition into development seamless. The team has provided a detailed milestone plan, and they’re timely and budget-conscious. Their in-depth expertise, combined with their collaborative approach, stands out.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital sales program manager at Centro Inc., a distributor of manufacturing parts, mostly maintenance, repair, and operations supplies. We also focus on solutions to help customers decide what products to purchase to solve complex problems. My role involves working with the online sales team to meet our customers’ needs on the web.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Slide UX?
In March 2022, we had the goal to redo our website and double our business revenue through online sales. We needed a new design for the site, so we engaged Slide UX.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Slide UX provides us with UX design services. They started with brainstorming sessions to outline user needs and define user personas. The team also talked to people from within our company to avoid making decisions in a vacuum. They looked at the state of our website and mapped out what our alternatives could be.
We had two different sites, one for brochure marketing and one for e-commerce, and the designs were very disjointed. Slide UX analyzed both sites and recommended a common standard theme for us to have a more representative single brand. As for our specific design requirements, we requested that they find the balance between us selling products and being approachable and human. The goal was for them to include opportunities for our users to access our personable approach. We also requested for them to work with our logo and color scheme.
They’ve created wireframes and worked on the site’s styling and design guides. The team has given us three options for the design and provided the advantages and disadvantages of each to help us make decisions. Slide UX has worked in an iterative fashion where they show us what they’ve come up with every week, we give them feedback, and then they enact changes. They use Miro boards to present the ideas and then move them over to Figma once they’re approved.
The team has designed 12 screens for our website. We just signed an agreement for Slide UX to take on another part of the scope we hadn’t originally planned.
What is the team composition?
We work with a project lead who’s one of Slide UX’s owners, and we also have a project manager and designers on the team. The design team is a mix of senior and junior designers who each have taken on different design elements. In total, we’ve worked with around five teammates from Slide UX.
How did you come to work with Slide UX?
My boss found Slide UX. I had also worked with them at a previous company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $120,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Slide UX’s design looks like what we had envisioned and aligns with our requirements. The website isn’t live yet because we also bought a new technology platform we’re implementing, so the new site is in development now. I’ve been impressed with the smooth transition from design to development. Slide UX has been able to add details that the development team needs; the designs work because they’re in a language developers understand. Thanks to their work, I’ve watched the designs come to life without issues.
How did Slide UX perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a great systematic approach to completing a project’s goals. The team has provided a step-by-step and milestone-based project plan. They’ve met the deadlines, and any delays have come from us; we’ve had internal tasks that have taken longer than we’d planned, which have nothing to do with them. Slide UX has also done a good job managing the budget.
Although I’m managing the project, they’ve provided ongoing project management support. They use Gantt charts for the schedule and Miro boards to walk us through design element presentations. We also use Slack for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Slide UX has high-quality UI/UX developers with in-depth experience in web design and development. Moreover, they have a very personable and collaborative approach to their design process. The team does a great job of not compromising the design, even in complex situations. I’ve been impressed with how they’ve handled the project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Whenever we’ve had challenging personalities join the project, they could have pushed a bit harder before compromising. However, I can’t say I would have pushed either, and that’s the only potential improvement I can think of.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise being honest and giving Slide UX feedback when they ask. Additionally, make sure to be collaborative and willing to value their expertise. Many clients have thoughts about what looks better from a design standpoint, but sometimes it’s important to put personal preferences aside and be open to everyone’s voice.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Our workflow was excellent. They used Miro as a collaborative board and added their comments and thoughts to the board. We could read the board ourselves and add questions to their comments.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their UI/UX skills and eye for design were top-notch. They not only found issues that we could not see but also redesigned two key features in our app, making them both more user-friendly, and simple.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing.

Slide UX was hired by a risk management company to design the UI/UX of their app. They created design prototypes and incorporated client feedback and design options before arriving at a final design.
Slide UX delivered the project on time and within budget. The final design received positive responses from end clients and exceeded the client's expectations. Slide UX took the time to understand the app and the demands of its users to come up with designs that added a ton of value to the app.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Director of Product Management for DataScan in Alpharetta, GA
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Slide UX?
We were 10 months into building a new product and our focus was on functionality and architecture. We hired Slide UX to focus specifically on the UI/UX for the new product. Our goal was to have a modern, intuitive application with feature rich user interfaces that provided Excel-like functionality.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We created a list of 4 UI/UX vendors and conducted interviews and presentations with each of them. We then selected 2 of the vendors to do deep dive discussions. Ultimately, we selected Slide UX based on their past experience with banking applications and competitive pricing.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Slide UX spent the first several weeks reviewing our product, reading the requirements and design documents, and gathering information from our team about the user personas, product functionality, and desired UI outcomes.
Then they created a project plan to focus on the key areas and modules of the product. Slide UX scheduled weekly meetings where they presented their design prototypes and asked our team for feedback. They produced iterations, incorporating our feedback as well as additional design options until arriving at the final version.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our team worked directly with a lead designer, 2 other designers, and a project manager.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We were very pleased with the designs from their team. In several instances Slide presented new ideas and concepts that we had never considered. Each of these add value to the product.
We have demonstrated the application to several clients and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The UI for this product feels several years ahead of our other solutions. Slide definitely exceeded our expectations and we look forward to working with them in the future on other initiatives.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The project manager was easy to work with and provided us frequent updates, tracking action items and deliverables. We conducted all meetings via Zoom, which was very effective. Slide met all of their deliverable dates and the short turnaround time on changes kept our development on track.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their team is ultra talented and invested in the solutions they design. I was most impressed by their willingness and ability to understand the product we were building and the demands of the users for the product.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No

A media group needed to update several of their websites. They partnered with Slide UX to work with their product team, lead the redesigns, and even assist with product research and development.
The company was so impressed with the work that the Slide UX team provided that they put them on retainer and continue working with them on more projects. The company describes each member of the Slide team to be passionate about their craft.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I head product for a privately held media group that owns and operates multiple websites in the financial vertical.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Slide UX?
Several of the websites in our portfolio were overdue for a refresh, so we hired Slide UX to work with our product team and lead the redesigns. Under a retainer contract, we also hired Slide UX to assist with product R&D.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
In fall 2020, we searched Clutch for the best UX/UI groups across the United States, then narrowed to three. After considering all three, we decided on Slide UX because we felt they were the best fit for our budget, project goals, and culture. This review covers the third project we've run with Slide UX.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Several websites in our portfolio have outdated designs. We submit project specs of what we're looking to accomplish, and in a collaborative manner, Slide UX creates designs based on those specs. We then provide feedback, Slide UX makes the appropriate tweaks, and ultimately the designs are wrapped up.
We then take the final designs, develop them in-house, and then work with Slide to further iterate as user data streams. The keyword is collaborative because Slide's designers are incredibly creative and do a terrific job of challenging our thoughts around the product experience. We rely on Slide's designers heavily to provide their expert opinions on web standards, trends, and best practices.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Two UX/UI designers and a project manager.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The quality of work speaks for itself. This is our third contracted project with Slide UX. We were so pleased with the first two that we felt moving to a retainer arrangement was the best path forward for continued success.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication is paramount to any project, and Slide UX is consistently on point. We use a mixture of email and Slack for day-to-day communication and Zoom for our regular weekly meetings. When meetings wrap, the latest designs are published to Zeplin for us, making the workflow incredibly efficient since we handle our development in-house.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Every team member we work with is endlessly passionate about their craft. It makes the working relationship fun and engaging.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of. The retainer is still ongoing, and we are cruising along smoothly.
