Before engaging SiteTuners , our website conversion rate fluctuated Between 0.8-1%. Since implementing the changes they recommended our site conversion sits around 1.4-1.5%. May not seem like much however when you have 50K+ visits per month, half a percent is a lot!

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their quality of work is great. The relationship between our company and theirs is one that fosters creative testing. The team’s feedback is constructive and they get back to us quickly. The post-mortem on all of their tests is always clear, concise, and provides direction on our next steps.

Overall, through the years of testing, we’ve generated over $1 million in incremental revenue. While not all tests are successful, we’ve continued to grow throughout our relationship together.

How did SiteTuners perform from a project management standpoint?

We have regular calls scheduled to review our upcoming tests, as well as roll out future ones. Their feedback always provides deep insight into why a test has worked or failed. That feedback allows us to come up with the next phases of the testing. They also take our feedback into account and supply their own, so it’s always a very constructive environment.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They think outside of the box. It’s always refreshing to see an outsider’s perspective on why things are working or not. Taking those opinions into account helps us move forward as a company.

First, they looked at our target customers and what their needs were. They used that information to determine how to deliver the right information to our users through our design. They provided us with wireframes and we went through several discussions before they provided the final PSP files. They also did some HTML work.

I worked with a core team of three people. Some of their other designers also jumped in here and there. 

How did you come to work with SiteTuners?

I did research online about how to improve conversions and make a website easy to use. I came across SiteTuners through my search, and I felt they were knowledgeable about the topic. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2019. They just delivered their final designs at the beginning of June 2020. They’re still working with us to implement the design on the website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They took a very thorough approach from end-to-end. They spent a lot of time working to understand the nuances of our business. The final design incorporated all of that knowledge. 

The design is fantastic. We haven’t launched it yet, but we’re hoping to soon.

They did very well. We had one main contact that kept us informed and on track progress-wise. They did a good job despite how complicated the project was. Their communication was open and straightforward.

They definitely spent a lot of time and energy and learning about all the nuanced aspects of our business and incorporating that into the design. They were able to take everything they’d learned from us and devise a solution that would lead to new customers.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended to us by another agency as having a lot of expertise in site improvements designed to increase traffic and conversions. We based our selection upon prior successful projects, cost, proposed solution, and ease of working with the management team.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They started with the 'low hanging fruit' approach, targeting those areas that could be immediately improved with minimal investment and labor. From there, we moved into a more advanced re-design that involved the rebuilding of templates, changes to checkout, tracking of additional metrics, and improvements to the processing flow of orders. They assisted with the presentation, reviewed all changes before going live, and they provided continuous feedback throughout the entire process. They kept us up-to-date with meetings and tracked our progress through the project.

What was the team composition?

We had a team of 3 people that we worked closely with. We maintained constant contact with our main point of contact via mail and Skype. This team would have periodic group video meetings to review progress and review upcoming stages in the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our organic search results, conversions, and traffic improved dramatically after implementing the suggested changes. We track the traffic for not just our site, but 10 other competitors. After our project was completed we had improved from 8th place among our competitors, to 2nd place: a dramatic improvement over the course of a few months! We also saw an increase in our conversion rates, overall improvement in search ranking statistics, and increases in traffic flow and traffic retention. A resounding success!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Communication was constant, and project tracking was excellent. We always knew where we stood in the overall project, What we had left and when we were targeting to get those goals completed. If we ever had questions, they were available to get them answered quickly. Project Management was excellent throughout the process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication, organization, and the end results were what I found most impressive with SiteTuners. They communicated continuously throughout the process, they were extremely organized and the project was managed carefully. The end results were more than I initially expected as well. The payback for this project was almost immediate.

Are there any areas for improvement?

For a small company like ours operating on narrow margins, this was an expensive project; however, the immediate return on the project cost combined with the ongoing improvements to profitability definitely justify the initial cost.

They’re still actively engaged with me as I go through building out the development. There’s a lot of attention to detail. Eric is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of value in terms of page layout and hierarchy. He also helped guide me on copy and content.

Sometimes when it’s hard to be so close to something to figure out precise phrasing and wording. Eric helped me choose words wisely, giving me a head start with messaging.

The quality was top-notch. Eric helps me on an ongoing basis with tweaking. His attention to detail is fantastic.

How did SiteTuners perform from a project management standpoint?

I thought the project management was fantastic. Eric and I collaborated on Basecamp. We also used Calendly for scheduling meetings. It made everything easy. They used a tool called MockFlow to collaborate on the wireframes. It was a great way to demonstrate the experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Eric’s knowledge of conversion rate optimization is impressive. He’s excellent at explaining and diving into specific details regarding how things work. Their attention to detail and skilled expertise were the keys to this engagement.

I’m a huge believer in “garbage in, garbage out.” For people to do good work, you have to give them good input. I’m the owner of Agua Clara Diving Tulum, a dive shop.

We needed increased conversions on our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I got in touch with them for consultation on how to improve the website for making more conversions. We had a meeting on Zoom and went over the website. They gave us nice recommendations about how to improve. We went over the website by sharing screens. They gave me the reports of everything we talked about. They pointed out a lot of things.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Alex (Director of Optimization).

How did you come to work with SiteTuners?

A friend told me they were really good at what they do.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February-March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve already seen improvement on the time that people stay. The bounce rate has dropped. In the first week, we could see an increase in sales.

How did SiteTuners perform from a project management standpoint?

Alex was really on point with the things we needed. He knew what he was doing. We did the project management on our side and they did the research and consulting. We made the changes to the website ourselves. We used Zoom and WhatsApp. We had no language barriers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did very well. I have no complaints.

Project started with a deep dive into our analytics and overall business (an audit). Site Tuners worked with our internal team to develop wireframes and mockups. When these were approved, Site Tuners implemented our new site alongside our marketing team. After the first part of the project, Site Tuners then optimized and tested different attributes on our new site to make sure it performed in the best capacity.
