For what projects/services did your company hire SiteTuners?
Difrent Rental was preparing to re-platform from its initial content management system to a more flexible platform. We decided to update the look of our homepage at the same time, and engaged SiteTuners to assist. We were so impressed with their services that we then engaged them for a period of several months to review remaining sections of our website and conversion flow and to provide suggestions on improvements
How did you select this vendor?
I looked at a number of conversion rate specialist firms in Australia, the UK and USA, and spoke with a shortlist via Zoom. Marty, the President of the company, made time available despite the significant overseas time difference (we are in Australia) and within minutes of beginning to speak with him I knew they were the partners for us.

Marty personally reviewed our website and provided us with detailed suggestions about elements we should consider updating to drive conversion rate. Following the completion of our re-platforming and our ongoing engagement with SiteTuners we had twice-monthly meetings via Zoom to discuss strategy, performance, findings and new conversion rate recommendations.

After working with the Marty, the President of SiteTuners, for our re-platforming project we then worked with Jeff (Director of Optimization) and Martin (Conversion Rate Analyst) on an ongoing basis.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Following several months of work with SiteTuners our website looks nothing like it used to. From navigation, to product page layouts, to abandon cart communication processes every element of our website has improved from a usability perspective and is geared towards conversions. Overall, comparing our current conversion rate to our conversion rate for the 6 months prior to working with SiteTuners, conversion rate has improved by 18.5%
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was always outstanding. Nearly all of our communication occurred in online meetings, following which SiteTuners provided notes and a summary of next steps. Additionally, if there was anything to discuss out of the scheduled meeting cycle the team were always quick and accommodating in reviewing and responding to emails.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
SiteTuners excel in being able to identify opportunities for conversion rate improvements and then being able to distill these into clear and concise recommendations, either verbally, in writing or in mock-ups as required. At no time did I ever feel that they were working from a pro-forma list of recommendations. Every suggestion they've provided was highly tailored to our needs, our product, and our resource capabilities.

SiteTuners optimized our site for better conversions. We had a two and a half hour meeting where they went over our entire website and what we could improve on in order to achieve better conversion on our products. They suggested that we add content that would be more attractive to retail purchasers.

They do very well. The team took their time and listened to what we needed in the initial meeting. They were gracious enough to extend our meeting by an hour to fully discuss our site. Our meeting was over Zoom, and we have follow-ups through email.

For what projects/services did your company hire SiteTuners, and what were your goals?
The insurance agency hired SiteTuners for a full website redesign and development with conversion rate optimization and marketing and to make tactical changes to the current website while the redesign was in progress.
The support Site Tuners is providing includes the full range of related services such copywriting, lead magnet production, funnel development, CRM selection and set up and more. The insurance agency's goals are increase lead generation and improve the close rate resulting in increased revenue and profits.
How did you select SiteTuners and what were the deciding factors?
I have used and recommended Site Tuners going back 10 years at other companies. Having seen the results of using Site Tuners and changing service providers the impacts of their services of website traffic and conversions made the choice an easy one.
The simple difference is Site Tuners is a conversion optimization company that builds websites as opposed to other companies that are software and website developers that have learned about website conversion.
There are subtle differences in technique that make a world of difference in the results. Site Tuners is clearly a company that focuses on website conversions and also builds websites. Most other other companies are website developers than integrate conversation methods. If you are looking to generate revenue from your website, the difference matters.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The insurance agency selected a monthly retainer option to do the work. This gave the flexibility to both make tactical changes to the current live website while taking the time to complete design and develop a brand new website. This approach allowed for great flexibility to meet adapt changing needs as the project evolved and we all learned more. It also meant that design elements and features could be developed and deployed to the current website and used for the new one.
The project kicked off with a meeting intake with our assigned director of optimization, Eric, asking questions of the CEO to get not only the technical information but critical information for the brand voice. We would eventually see this used it the layout, design and copy. Normally the meeting would be an hour but it was the meeting was productive and everyone had time to continue on for 2 hours.
With this information the Site Tuners team immediate went to work on creating some tactical changes to the insurance agency's home page and developing the wire frames for the new website. Upon approval of the wire frames the team went right to work on the site design. While the wire frames and website design were being developed Site Tuners continued to make tactical changes to the website. As features of the new website were developed some were able to be put to use immediately on the live website.
Simultaneously Site Turner helped with the selection of a CRM tool. For the insurance agency's needs and budget at the time RedTail Technology's CRM was selected. Site Tuners also helped with the design of a new lead magnet. While the insurance agency wrote the initial draft, Site Tuner performed the editing, layout and graphics. It's been received well.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked primarily with our Director of Optimization, Eric, who managed the team and brought in the appropriate resources at the right time. This included a couple developers, copyrighters for the website and lead magnets, and even the president of the company when needed for some additional perspective.
The Director of Optimization was very skilled understanding not only the technical aspects of conversion rate optimization but understanding business, customers, and translating business objectives into technial requiremental. He was a strong project manager as well, managing the project objectives, tasks, timeline and expectations to ensure success with an aggressive schedule.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
While the full website redesign was occurring Site Tuners also made tactical changes to the insurance agency's current website, starting with a home page refresh, changing the look and feel of the site and adding additional information as well as improving on site SEO. Almost immediately there was an increased traffic to the site and actions on the calls to action.
The website redesign is an amazing piece of work and a massive step forward for the insurance agency. The Site Tuners team really outdid themselves capturing the brand and its message. Additionally, all of the insurance products were orgnaized for simple user navigation while simultaneously creating unque pages for each insurance product. The flexiblity to for marketing, social sharing and even user navigations through the site are tremendous.

The first point about project management you notice is during the intial intake meeting. The Site Tuners team balances taking a storng leadership role and being open, listening and following the client's lead. The Site Tuners team will develop the options based on what they've heard as well as their experience with what works. The balancing works well.
The meetings with the team are recorded and storaged for both the Site Tuners team and client to review. This enables the Site Tuners team to reveiw the meetigns and capture all the information, cutting down on meetings, missed information and enables the clients to also ensure completeness.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Whats most impressive about Site Tuner is literally the results. Ultimately websites are for driving business. How different companies do that will vary. Site Tuners gets the results. There are plenty of companies that will build flasher websites, but they don't get the same results. They psychology of conversion is about much more than pretty pictues.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not being an expert in conversion rate optimization it's hard to say what the Site Tuner's team could do better. They cost more, but you get more too.

First, they looked at our target customers and what their needs were. They used that information to determine how to deliver the right information to our users through our design. They provided us with wireframes and we went through several discussions before they provided the final PSP files. They also did some HTML work.

I worked with a core team of three people. Some of their other designers also jumped in here and there.

I did research online about how to improve conversions and make a website easy to use. I came across SiteTuners through my search, and I felt they were knowledgeable about the topic.

We have had an online store since 1997, but since 2015 we have lost market share and online sales as a percentage of our total sales have gone down. Our average SEO rank positions, total traffic, and conversions had also declined in relation to our competitors. We needed a redesign of our site, an improvement to SEO and organic search results, an improvement in conversions, improved online marketing, and an increase in sales.

The goal was to upgrade, redesign, and improve our website and online purchasing experience to increase organic search traffic and to increase conversions and sales.
How did you select this vendor?
They were recommended to us by another agency as having a lot of expertise in site improvements designed to increase traffic and conversions. We based our selection upon prior successful projects, cost, proposed solution, and ease of working with the management team.

They started with the 'low hanging fruit' approach, targeting those areas that could be immediately improved with minimal investment and labor. From there, we moved into a more advanced re-design that involved the rebuilding of templates, changes to checkout, tracking of additional metrics, and improvements to the processing flow of orders. They assisted with the presentation, reviewed all changes before going live, and they provided continuous feedback throughout the entire process. They kept us up-to-date with meetings and tracked our progress through the project.
What was the team composition?
We had a team of 3 people that we worked closely with. We maintained constant contact with our main point of contact via mail and Skype. This team would have periodic group video meetings to review progress and review upcoming stages in the project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our organic search results, conversions, and traffic improved dramatically after implementing the suggested changes. We track the traffic for not just our site, but 10 other competitors. After our project was completed we had improved from 8th place among our competitors, to 2nd place: a dramatic improvement over the course of a few months! We also saw an increase in our conversion rates, overall improvement in search ranking statistics, and increases in traffic flow and traffic retention. A resounding success!
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Communication was constant, and project tracking was excellent. We always knew where we stood in the overall project, What we had left and when we were targeting to get those goals completed. If we ever had questions, they were available to get them answered quickly. Project Management was excellent throughout the process.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Communication, organization, and the end results were what I found most impressive with SiteTuners. They communicated continuously throughout the process, they were extremely organized and the project was managed carefully. The end results were more than I initially expected as well. The payback for this project was almost immediate.

For a small company like ours operating on narrow margins, this was an expensive project; however, the immediate return on the project cost combined with the ongoing improvements to profitability definitely justify the initial cost.
