I am the Co-Owner of Phase Marketing. Phase Marketing is a marketing agency that specializes in SEO and PPC for law firms.

We hired SERP Wizard as a baseline Local SEO service to have a good foundation for other SEO initiatives taking place. This was a partnership primarily used as a natural white-hat foundation so our agency could use more aggressive white-hat approaches (phrase match anchor texts, content building, etc.).

How did you select SERP WIZARD and what were the deciding factors?

We wanted to keep our costs down for basic SEO functions and decided to choose them because they were out of the country, making each marketing dollar more efficient than a U.S. based company for relatively minuscule tasks.

We supplies SERP Wizard with basic admin rights to our website, and management rights to our Google Search Console. Our team provided the keywords we were looking to rank for our clients, and they began working right away, and updated us on their work every 15 days via a "15-day work report". Every 30 days we got a performance report displaying ranking movement over the course of our engagement.

We were given 2 emails for communication. One was for billing and one was for SEO work. I am guessing these emails were managed by multiple people within their staff to handle communication.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is hard to isolate their work and quality because we partnered with them solely to create a baseline of SEO work so we could implement other in-house work to move the needle more aggressively. We did see ranking increases for all of our clients throughout our relationship, but in my opinion a lot of that was due to the majority of the budget being spent elsewhere. Only about 5-10% of our SEO budget per client went to SERP Wizard.

Unfortunately, our prices increased for each keyword that ranked in the top 10 which I believed to be primarily coming from other places so we had to pay them extra even though they were only 5-10% of the budget.

From an SEO perspective: They managed our accounts very well in terms of meeting deadlines, and always had their 15-day work report delivered on time every time. They also provided their ranking performance reports to us on time every time as well. From a communication perspective: I think this is where SERP Wizard lacked. Being oversees made it difficult to have conversations being on different timezones.

They don't have a US based phone number to call so that made the communication difficult as well. They offered to have me set up Skype which we did. Overall, the communication was my least favorite part of our relationship.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated their transparency of work being done to each of our sites. Before you hire them they lay out exactly what you're getting for each client and they deliver on that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As discussed previously, their communication was the biggest hurdle with our relationship. I think they should implement a monthly phone call or Skype on behalf of their clients to discuss performance and what their expectations are with the campaign in the future.

I am the CEO at our furniture removals company called Mr Cheap Transport who is a professional furniture moving company operating for over 10 years. We facilitate moving services for home owners, renters and businesses across South Africa.

We selected one of the packages on offer after communicating with the consultant who best advised us which packages to start with. We choose the starter SEO package.

I've worked closely with one consultant who has always responded to my questions and who has made himself available for online skype meetings.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The traffic has dramatically increase approximately 400%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There were some glitches at the beginning however this was because we were getting to know each other as well as it was understandable being able to deal with a company that is around the world. The communication become so much better once we connected on skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their marketing strategy and knowledge of the industry has surpassed all the other partners that we have dealt with before. They excel in using unique targeting strategies which I have not seen before. They get results in record time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Although we all are busy doing our specialties and looking at the monthly reports which they provide timeously, it could be advantageous if they could schedule an official 30min - 1hr quarterly meeting to go over the progress of the campaign as well as to discuss future strategy to align the efforts and to set campaign goals.

Their efforts do reflect in their work and on our page ranking so we are happy with their progress.

They should communicate more if they are having any issue or idea which is can benefit our project. This will help customers to review their productivity and can correct their course.

SERP WIZARD sends reports for the rankings of the keywords. We’ve seen an improvement with clicks to our website. I wasn’t expecting a miracle in a month or two, but it’s been working well so far.

Their project management has been good, honest, and transparent. We communicate via email and they send me spreadsheets with the keyword reports.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Whenever we start working with a new customer, we usually try to lay out an action plan for the project. It’s obviously hard to guarantee anything with Google, but from past experience, we are able to get almost all of our clients to page one of 90% of their targeted keywords in six months.

I’ve got hundreds of examples to back that up. Not only are a majority of our clients on page one of their SERPs, but many of them are the number one organic result as well.

How did SERP Wizard perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a very good job in project management. It’s actually so easy to manage all of the work together that we are able to maintain a perfectly good working relationship and achieve all of our target deliverables on schedule just by communicating via email. We just hand over the website logins, establish the goals of the particular project, and they are pretty much able to run and report on everything from there.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The bottom line of any engagement is the result. It doesn’t matter how nice or communicative you are if you can’t deliver when it comes to the actual SEO. The fact that they have been able to follow through on their promises every single time has helped us to establish an immense degree of trust with their team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m pretty happy with everything that they’ve done for us.

My only recommendation is to talk to Praveen and see what you will be able to accomplish together. They will be able to follow through on anything they tell you they can deliver.

We provide SEO and marketing services for local companies but also for many worldwide customers. Our services include not only general SEO but also PPC, brand building, online marketing and a complete integrated setup for projects from the ground up through developing a website/e-commerce platform including strategic planning for conversion optimization.

Our main goal was to hire a company like Serpwizard to outsource certain parts of many of our projects to do the onsite/offsite website optimization, search engine optimization, keyword research in tower construction per industry, social media campaigns and local and global search engine optimization. On average Serpwizard handles between 15 and 20 of our projects at any given time per month.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goals for each of our customer projects that Serpwizard handles are: - Improve keyword positions to at least top 5 in Google/Yahoo and Bing. - PPC campaigns setup that need to show a major improvement in clickthrough rate, lower add spend while getting a higher order value per order. - Keyword research at a very extensive level by researching an industry in high detail, or improving current keyword sets to increase traffic by subject. - Improving sales conversion for each project by analyzing the complete sales funnel using all above points and making onsite/offsite changes to accommodate those requirements.

How did you select this vendor?

We made a shortlist of candidate companies based on our own research and recommendations. Our usual way of working is to give those candidates 2 test projects each for a period of 30 to 60 days after which we evaluate things like communication, project handling, technological and organizational skills, reporting and business ethics.

For each of the outsources projects they have provided among others: - Very detailed keyword research by analyzing the customers industry first. - Done onsite and offsite changes to websites of the customers. - Changed the complete sales funnel to improve conversion rates. - They have lowered the ad spend in Google adwords campaigns while improving clickthrough rate and order value significantly. - Rankings of at least 90% of the "want to buy" search intent keywords have resulted in minimum top 5 in Google/Yahoo/Bing. - Search engine optimization per project have been improved so more pages per website are crawled, ranked and positioned higher. - Brand building and social media campaigns per project have resulted in secondary improvements in search engine results and customer awareness of products.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a 90% fixed team of 8 employees because of the amount of projects Serpwizard is doing for us. Most of the communication goes through the team leader and Serpwizard owner Praveen. 3 employees are doing website development and 5 are involved with all remaining search engine optimization and marketing. Occasionally extra employees will be called in for specialized parts in any projects for example cloud storage at amazon or Azure.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Due to all the improvements within each project that is done by Serpwizard we have been able to grow our current client base from 150 projects in 2017 to over 700 in 2020. The results we can provide to our clients due to the excellent work by Serpwizard has resulted in word of mouth advertising by our own customers that has brought in even more customers. Our revenue has grown 350% in the last three years alone and expected growth is on par for 2020 also despite the current situation(as you will know). As a result our own employee numbers have increased from 5 in 2017 to 24 in 2020.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We use an online project management service software where each project/customer has it's own project account they can log in to and track almost every progress over time. Serpwizard employees can also log in to enter all necessary information like tasks, time spent and goals. This allows us to show our customers what is being done almost on a daily basis while at the same time we are in constant contact with each Serpwizard employee on our team. This has resulted in very efficient way of working, minimum time loss, effective communication and very good results.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Serpwizard is by far the most professional team of the candidates we have tested. Their main priority is getting the required results for their customers. They are honest if and when a rare mistake has been made and will go out of their way to correct that. They are eager to learn. Any criticism is taken very seriously because they always want to improve their own business. As a result business ethics is not just a phrase with Serpwizard, it's a way of doing their work. Trust is a big issue these days in online services and getting rarer all the time. If anything that needs to improve is maybe a bit better syncing of internal communication between the team that handles our projects to cut down on the double emails with the same content. But I noticed this is already improving and maybe a bit nitpicking from my side.

SERP WIZARD provides good results. Every single project has been improved with their help. Some sites reach the top-10 positions on Google. I judge their success by increased ranks, client satisfaction, and communication, and they’ve always delivered a positive outcome. 

How did SERP WIZARD perform from a project management standpoint?

They send me reports in Excel files with tabs for each platform links are posted to. They also provide rank reports using a specialized tool where I can see rank improvements. Praveen is always online whenever I need to talk to him. The reports are delivered on time and they’re flexible with their pricing. If we need to reduce it, they’ll work with us. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re able to build links from multiple companies while offering competitive pricing. All of our communication is exceptional. Praveen is a kind and responsible person, so he makes a difference for his company.

They should also provide guest posting and product data management (PDM) services. Also, their local SEO could be improved to match the level of their global efforts.

Determine whether or not you have enough budget to compete in SEO. Working with Praveen will give you a better chance of success. Make sure you pick the keywords you want to rank for since you’ll have a better idea of what you need.
