What challenge were you trying to address with SEO Brand?

We were looking to improve our marketing performance, so we hired SEO Brand for their SEO services. Since we started out with zero SEO presence, we wanted to create an SEO campaign and understand our target demographic. Moreover, we wanted to have a geographic presence for one of our services. Our company specialized in sustainable investing, so we needed to rank for that in three geographic areas.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SEO Brand initially did an audit of where we were, and we discussed that audit. We figured out what could be implemented, what they could take charge of, and what had to stay the same. From there, we started collaborating on SEO work. 

They’ve helped me learn about SEO and gave us suggestions for changes. Some changes are easy to make on the backend, but we have to look at everything because everything they suggest needs to be compliant with business regulations. Our internal team does our content since it has to be authentic to our voice, but SEO Brand always gives us feedback on how to optimize such content. 

We’ve considered PPC, but our team isn’t ready for that yet. We’re sticking with SEO work for now. Nonetheless, the engagement is evolving. We’ve been thinking about how we can pivot the engagement into something that meets our needs while we focus on something else for the remainder of the year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve seen an uptick in website traffic. Our website is also on the first page of search results for specific keywords. This is the most important result for us. Since we don’t sell a specific product, the way we measure success is through the people who reach out to us after finding us on Google. We’ve seen a handful of them. I’d love to see 100 more of them, but our job is highly specific to certain geographic areas, so there isn’t a giant customer pool.

How did SEO Brand perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is fantastic, and we’ve never gone over budget. Moreover, SEO Brand works with different types of companies, including dental care, landscaping, and software companies. Our company is different because we sell relationships and not products. They can do the same SEO work for all of us, but they don’t. They approach the work from a different angle, and they’re supportive of our SEO education. 

Jinny has truly invested herself in trying to understand us as a company. Besides that, the team welcomes pushback, such as when we tell them we can’t do something they suggest. They’re also open to feedback when we tell them we don’t like one version of their outputs. As a result, I’ve learned a lot — they helped me understand how to become a good SEO client.

They’ve reduced our fees because we didn’t do some things included in their initial proposal. That kind of integrity is mind-boggling since not a lot of firms tend to do that. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some teammates who handle backend tasks are overseas, and they’re not native English speakers. As a result, there’s a disconnect between the language that they offer versus the language that is appropriate for an English-speaking website. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You must have highly specific goals when you hire SEO Brand. Be as open and honest with them as possible if you want them to meet your goals. If you’re not happy with how things are working out, you have to tell them. If you have a question, ask them even if you’re afraid to sound stupid. 

In other words, you have to help them help you. They’re the experts; they’re the surgeon that does the surgery, but I also have to tell them what my specific problem is so that they don’t operate in the wrong area.

We needed help with SEO, marketing, and Google Ads to bring traffic to our website and store.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SEO Brand helps us with SEO, digital marketing, and website management, and they’re also in charge of our Google Ads campaigns. Initially, they did a full analysis of our company to identify the areas where they thought they could help us improve; there were a lot because we didn’t know much about marketing and advertising back then.

During the analysis phase, SEO Brand took the time to truly understand what we were doing so that they knew the right audience to target using the right keywords. We went back and forth many times to go over the project and what we could improve. Since then, we’ve been working together on those efforts.

Now, SEO Brand helps us with our blogs, which they initially recommended. The blog posting is almost an automated process; they post our blogs on a weekly basis on a certain day at a certain time. As part of our SEO, they’ve also shown us how we can improve the way in which we list our items in Shopify so that Google recognizes them better.

As for the advertising efforts, SEO Brand mainly helps us with Google Ads, but they’ve also created campaigns for Instagram and Meta. Moreover, they’ve helped us improve our domain authority by using around 80 different platforms to promote us.

SEO Brand has also helped us with some email marketing, for which they’ve created templates and automated email campaigns. Whenever there’s an event, holiday, or sale, they usually send an email blast to our customer base.

As for website management, SEO Brand initially helped us redesign our website, creating a completely new design. We simply gave them an idea of what we wanted. Throughout this process, they worked closely with us and gave us recommendations on features they thought would be good for us. Now, they continuously help us change and modify its content and design. They also suggest what else we should do and add to the website.

Our website’s main purpose is to serve as an e-commerce site for our store. It has a blog, an about us page, a contact us page, information about who we are, and some disclaimers. Additionally, it displays our different departments.

In addition to those services, SEO Brand has helped us set everything up for international shipping, which we didn’t do before. This service has included defining the harmonized codes for our products.

We’ve been very happy with SEO Brand, and they’ve helped us a lot. Before working with them, we weren’t selling at all through our website. Now, we’ve reached almost six figures in sales with their help, so we’re very satisfied.

Additionally, we rank very high in search results for industry-related terms, such as clothing stores, shopping, and designer clothing. We’ve also seen a significant increase in our organic traffic, which continues to grow every month.

In addition to those results, our site audit percentage score has also increased. When we started working with SEO Brand, we were at 7%. Now, we’re at 88%.

How did SEO Brand perform from a project management standpoint?

We work on a fixed budget, so we haven’t faced overages there. Additionally, SEO Brand has always met their deadlines, and their work is always on point, so we’re very happy with them. 

Moreover, SEO Brand is very responsive. They answer right away when we call them, and whenever we need changes, they implement those within a few days. Moreover, when we give them an idea, they give us their input.

Our main project manager from SEO Brand is very good, so we’re very happy with her also. They send us a detailed report on a monthly basis to show us how we’re performing organically and what the health of our site is. We usually communicate via phone calls and email exchanges.

The thing we like the most about SEO Brand is that they’re very responsive, as I mentioned. Additionally, we feel like they’re go-getters; every time we work on a new project, the results speak for themselves.

What challenge were you trying to address with SEO Brand?

We needed help with social media, advertising, Google Ads, and SEO. We aimed to gain more customers, show up on Google on the first page, create a social media presence, and have our ads right on top.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SEO Brand manages our whole marketing strategy, but we’ve modified the project a couple of times. We began with SEO because it was the thing that took the longest. Simultaneously, we started with social media management, so they began working with Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, they worked on a campaign to get more customers. We added PPC 4–5 months later, and they’ve managed it too.

They create content for our website and do all the blog, social media posts, and advertising. Also, they did our website optimization. We wrote the content, but SEO Brand. edited it to use the right words for the SEO. Another particular thing that they worked on was the main page of our website; they rearranged it to make it more customer-friendly.

Right now, we’re working on social media, blogs, and emails; we stopped the PPC strategy after 6–7 months. We’re letting the market refresh, and then we’ll see our next steps.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We meet every two weeks and get briefed on how everything is performing, including PPC, ad spend, and searches. We also measure how many people have reached out to us out of the blue and the impact of social media on the number of followers, shares, and responses. Overall, we’re pretty successful. We get many calls and generate a lot of interest. Additionally, we were looking for employees because the labor market was difficult, and we also got that.

We started from zero and now have close to 1,000 followers on Instagram. Their efforts have worked well, and the growth has been organic. When we were doing SEO, we were on the first page of Google. Our site is regularly in the first five places that come up. Moreover, SEO Brand has been great with the blog posts — since we work in healthcare, it’s a touchy subject.

How did SEO Brand perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. They send us everything and use Basecamp for structure. The team sends us emails with the deliverables for approval, and we discuss on calls what we’ll do next. It’s a pretty systematic process.

We communicate through emails, which also end up in Basecamp. Also, we use Google Meets to have our calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They listen to us and what we want. We’ve had no issues with their work — when they send content for us to approve, we don’t ever send anything back. SEO Brand listens very well.

I think they’re pretty good, but they could improve website design.

If you know what you want, make sure to communicate your vision to them. They’ll do exactly what you asked for. If you don’t know what you want, talk to them and give them examples of competitors. SEO Brand will definitely come up with a strategy for you.
