To achieve the above objective, a specific set of salesforce Data elements needs to be set up to ensure that Fund investor forms are sent through email from Salesforce and updated and signed forms stored in the Salesforce document will be signed using conga. The scope of this project is to create all required fields and ensure Fund Investor form delivery is automated as per the requirements. Fund Investors can conga sign the document and send it back to Salesforce.

Sedin Technologies has been our general development resource for 10–11 years. The team writes all of the coding for our products and works closely with our development team to build software products based on our requirements and specifications. Regarding technologies, the team uses Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, AWS, and React for mobile app development.

Moreover, the team does business analysis and creates detailed specifications based on our business requirements.

We’ve noticed a yearly income growth of about 50% since 2016, which has been driven by the product innovation and technologies provided by Sedin Technologies. The team has been instrumental in developing the key features that are allowing us to be at the top of our market segment.

Sedin Technologies’ team has been meeting deadlines and staying on budget. The team is also great at working around our schedules and being available for us despite time zone differences. Regarding communication, we use Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet on a regular basis.

Establishment of a secure database for capturing real time participant data collected as part of the study across CRC sites. In alignment with the global best practices, integration of following features in the clinical database: 

• Automated generation of PID (site wise sequence) 
• Approval of eCRFs by Departmental admin 
• Query notification and resolution by any admin (Dept/Institutional/Central) 
• Automated validation and verification checks and CRF edits (identified based on pilot testing) 
• Creation of robust dashboards and reports indicators 
• Integration of Missed visits process flow and back data entry process (platform to enable entry from paper to eCRFs)

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As part of the National HIV Cohort Program, a secure browser based clinical database successfully developed and deployed at CRC sites, which is compliant to national/global standards, is multi-variate, multi-institutional and customizable as per the programmatic needs. The database is designed to enable systematic capture and management of clinical and laboratory data collected in the study and encompasses the following key features: 

• Database compliant to Data Management Guidelines, 2020 by NACO; In alignment with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, features including system validation, audit trails, record generation, operational checks integrated Different privileges for users and admins; Multiple users/admin can be created across different sites 
• Collection of data in electronic data collection tool (electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFS); Modifiable tool based on programmatic need 
• Once the participant data is captured in eCRFs and approved by departmental admin, users can only modify information for resolution of queries 
• Other features include automated generation of PID; Process flow for capturing missed visits Dashboard indicators with downloadable graphs/PDF; Data download in formats that can be uploaded in statistical software 
• Successful knowledge transfer of the server and coding to Government India 
• Constant back end support and reduced response time by the team.

A dedicated team was allocated various responsibilities for execution of the deliverables and point of contacts for each of the areas were assigned for effective communication. Bi-weekly virtual meetings were organized between Sedin, us, and ICMR NIE team (Data Management Unit for the study). Ad-hoc meetings were organised to seek clarity and resolve any queries by our team and NIE teams.

The approach to execution of work and product development is customized to the client needs and requirements. There is effective communication, and their senior leadership actively participates in discussions and mitigation of any risks or challenges. 

The response time to address any queries/comments is short and the team follows up on the action items on a periodic basis. All process are well documented and communicated to the client in parallel to ensue client's buy in.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Sedin Technologies could have done differently?

Frequent changes in QA for the project delays timelines and multiple iterations are sometimes required to align the team on the requirement. This also leads to loss of process documentation at times and is challenging considering the timelines and quality.

The Sedin team delivers several reports every day, week, and month for ongoing initiatives related to maintaining the reliability and availability of the application, service performance during and after content releases, and their overall support of our company's systems.

I’m the former CTO of Aroma360. We’re a B2C company that sells a variety of scenting products, from reed diffusers to air conditioning scenting systems for office buildings. We have e-commerce and direct sales channels.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sedin Technologies?

I was initially looking for an in-house Salesforce development team. However, I was having a hard time filling these positions and decided to look for an outside consultancy company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Before working with Sedin Technologies, another colleague and me used to administrate the company’s Salesforce development. At that time, our company sold around $70 million yearly and had 100 sales representatives. We were overwhelmed on multiple fronts. 

Sedin Technologies has helped us analyze and identify our technical debt in this area and prioritize our tasks. They’ve helped us identify which issues we could resolve quickly and which ones we needed to gather more data for future work. We work with Sedin Technologies hand-in-hand on a daily basis.

We’ve worked with different specialists from Sedin Technologies. I’ve worked with part of Sedin Technologies’ executive team, Madhu (Senior Project Manager), and a team of developers.

We initially had placed ads for our open positions, and Sedin Technologies contacted us through those ads. We reviewed their LinkedIn profile and portfolio and asked them to talk to some of their previous clients. I had a conversation with a company in Australia that helped me decide to go with Sedin Technologies.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m happy with Sedin Technologies’ work. They meet our expectations and feel like part of our team. Sedin Technologies thinks through our work process and requests. They make suggestions about things they think will work better for the project. 

Moreover, all of Sedin Technologies’ clients I talked to had positive feedback about their work. This is the first time I’m willing to do a review for a company on Clutch, even though I’ve been asked before. 

How did Sedin Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Sedin Technologies meets deadlines. We use Jira to track our project’s progress and tasks, and I check our Jira board regularly and track how long it takes Sedin Technologies to transition from one task to another.

We have a daily stand-up meeting and communicate on Slack throughout the day. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed by Sedin Technologies’ executive team — they really care about our project. I’ve had other experiences before where colleagues ask questions geared towards delaying deliverables. At the beginning of our project, I worked with Sedin Technologies’ executive team to avoid these questions from their development team and be more action-oriented. 

Developers typically want to be specific to please us, which can often cause us to lose time. I wanted Sedin Technologies to deliver what I asked, and they’ve been able to do that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The time zone difference has been frustrating from a business point of view. However, I understand this isn’t something Sedin Technologies can change. Although I wish we could meet at different hours, Sedin Technologies really covers our needs.

I recommend having a clear understanding of your project before working with Sedin Technologies. I’ve learned not to share the ideation phase of the project if I don’t have any facts first.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected Sedin technologies because they have been in business for over 15 years, they have a flexible, technology agnostic team building approach that is flexible, affordable and RELIABLE. Sedin does an exceptional job with early discovery and formal requirements documents that clearly spell out a project’ deliverables, costs and timelines.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

• Stage 1 was early discovery lasting about 90 days;
• Stage 2 was to redesign and build an MVP / prototype for presentation to investors, 9 months to complete;
• Stage 3 was to build out additional features in a series of 16 total sprints to launch on the app stores, have a live, working product prepared for first users and feedback. All completed sequentially with review, QA, testing and feedback from several team member working together.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The Sedin team ranged between 6 – 12 employees depending on resources at certain stages. Positions included a senior level business analyst, project manager, senior technical lead, a team of web and mobile developers and a professional design team of (3) that helped create the final product and experience. We had frequent check-ins from their CEO & COO to offer additional support, ideas and make sure we were happy with the progress.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The main outcome is a working product, successful submission to both app stores and continued support for additional features during our next phase. We’re able to add users and create the “shop” experience as intended, plus new ideas that make the shop experience even better than originally designed.

The workflow was exceptional and we established a cadence that worked for both of our time zones. We used advanced project management tools, consistent PPT presentations detailing features and completion and consistent communication online via chat, video and email.

Their ability to adapt to changing work and funding scenarios based on our project was most impressive and unique.  We started building during COVID which led to a series of delays, followed by delays caused by rising interest rates, so we had to adjust our funding schedule, they flexed to our needs and still delivered in less than ideal conditions on our end

Maybe promote and include more time on design in the early term, given the quality of their design team and ultimate complexity of the project given how many features we ended up including.

We had the challenge of adopting the Tableau dashboards in our organization. To ensure our people use the real-time data from the dashboards, we had to come up with ways to make these dashboards more intuitive, robust, and enhanced UI. To make this change we tied up with Sedin.

We went through a rigorous vendor evaluation process which was based on the ability of the vendor to deliver results as per our requirements of bringing in the UI changes to the dashboard that can make the change in adoption in our organization.

The project involved the enhancement of eight existing dashboards and building five new ones. One of the new dashboards that were created was a complex integrated operations dashboard that captured all the organization's metrics across the board. It went through stages of build and UAT.

Once we went live with the revamped dashboards we certainly see a great improvement in the adoption of these. The feedback from the stakeholders was that the dashboards were self explanatory.

I am the Mechanical Engineering Manager at a company that provides turnkey custom automation and testing equipment to various industries including but not limited to the automotive, medical, consumer product and human sciences industries.

There were four members on the team from Sedin Technologies, one project manager and three mechanical designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was completed as expected to meet the schedule and budget. The documentation package that was delivered was per our standards with very few changes requested. The success from my point of view is that I was able to complete this project utilizing one internal resource, not multiple as this size project would typically require, and meet or beat all expectations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have discussions and presentations multiple times a week to allow for excellent communication of the designs, changes, and progress of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive aspect of working with Sedin Technologies is how quickly they adopted and followed our company mechanical design standard as well as how quickly they understood the project design intent. They've delivered when they said they would and clearly and transparently communicated throughout the project.

At times verbal communication can be challenging, but this will improve as our teams work together on future projects.
