Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CFO of W. B. Osborn Oil & Gas Operations, an oil and gas company.

What challenge were you trying to address with SecureTech?

We needed help with our IT services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech provides all of our IT services. They manage our servers in the cloud and troubleshoot any IT issues we have. They also help with our Wi-Fi and access control systems. Additionally, they provide IT services for the commercial building we’re in. 

SecureTech also helps us with cybersecurity. They have quarantine software that quarantines suspected emails. Then, they send us an email every day identifying the quarantined emails and asking if we want to see them. They also keep our servers and other platforms secure from cyber risks.

After we chose them as our service provider, they sent a technician to inspect all of our existing servers, Wi-Fi, internet, and devices to determine our needs. Then, they provided a detailed explanation of our strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. SecureTech also identified potential threats based on how our existing system was set up. After that, they developed a strategy and asked for our buy-in. Then, they gave us a quote of how much it would cost.

When we went to the implementation phase, SecureTech sent a technician to teach each employee on how to operate and navigate the system. They answered any questions and made themselves available. SecureTech currently provides a combination of on-site and remote services.

What is the team composition?

We primarily deal with four teammates from SecureTech IT Services on a technical basis, including Denton, Tyler, and James. We also interact with Vanessa in the back office, who does the billing. Additionally, Luis handles the quotes when we do additional services that aren’t part of our contract.

How did you come to work with SecureTech?

My accounting manager did intense research on all IT companies in San Antonio. We interviewed about 10 companies, and SecureTech stepped up. They appreciated the value-added and gave a great presentation, and that’s how we made the selection.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SecureTech's quality of work has been very good. 

How did SecureTech perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent. We communicate with them through emails, phone calls, and Zoom. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We want to give a shout-out to Tyler. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

SecureTech's biggest strength is attention to detail. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing they need to improve on, especially in comparison with the other IT companies we've worked with.
