With the increasing sophistication of cyber threats, we wanted to ensure our system's security posture remained strong, proactive, and resilient. We discovered SecureNet Technologies through an online search and selected them due to their excellent cultural fit and reputation for cybersecurity expertise. They assigned a skilled team of 2 professionals who conducted a comprehensive VAPT for us. The scope of work included identifying potential risks, performing network and application penetration tests, and delivering actionable recommendations.

Their deliverables comprised a comprehensive vulnerability assessment report that highlighted critical and high-priority risks, an in-depth penetration testing report, and a prioritized set of recommendations to resolve identified weaknesses. Additionally, their team provided ongoing support for remediation efforts, with retesting to ensure each fix was thoroughly implemented.

The scope of work involved assisting with PCI DSS compliance, including the successful completion of both SAQ C and SAQ D, and preparing for future SAQ D certification. Additionally, the project covered the development and curation of ICT documents in alignment with ISO 27001 Annex 8. The key deliverables included finalizing these documents, transitioning them from draft mode to an approved first version, and ensuring they met the required standards for compliance and security protocols.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The measurable outcomes from this project included completing PCI DSS SAQ C and making significant progress towards SAQ D compliance, which is critical as we work with regulated companies. The project helped ensure we not only followed compliance requirements but also properly documented and gathered evidence to back up our processes. Additionally, it improved several workflows and resulted in finalized ICT documentation aligned with ISO 27001 Annex 8 standards, moving from draft to first versions, which enhanced our overall compliance and document management efforts.

The project management was excellent, with all deliverables completed on time and in line with our expectations. Their responsiveness to our needs was brilliant, and what stood out most was their ability to handle the entire process with minimal involvement from me. They worked directly with my team, coordinated all tasks, and presented everything to me only once it was completed. This seamless approach made the experience efficient and stress-free.

What impressed me most about this company was their deep expertise and the strength of their team, which brought a variety of specialties to the project. Everyone was polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They consistently stayed on top of all tasks, guiding us in the areas where we needed support. Their proactive approach ensured that both their team and ours were well-coordinated, and they made sure we had everything necessary to move the project forward without delays. Their ability to lead and collaborate effectively made a significant impact.

Are there any areas for improvement or something SecureNet Technologies could have done differently?

Overall, we were very happy with the work, and the team members were completely knowledgeable and well-informed throughout the project. The only area for improvement would be having a more formal kickoff meeting to better align expectations from the start. That said, we are more than satisfied with their work and will definitely be partnering with them in the future. In fact, we now consider them to be an integral part of our company's operations.
