Online Review
Seasia Infotech developed a website for a real estate company. The team created an online property listing platform for the site that sources data from general ledger records.
The platform streamlined multiple business processes and increased productivity, eventually leading to significant improvements in acquisition rates and ROI. By maintaining open lines of communication, Seasia Infotech was able to regularly share useful information, including creative insights.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of the real estate company Benjamin Trading in Minnesota, US. I am responsible to design enticing real estate packages for our prospective clients. With the help of technology, I want to serve my clients all sorts of real estate listing and packages.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Seasia Infotech?
We used traditional real estate practices which were time-consuming and tedious as well. Our business was in a dire need for an upgrade which is the reason I contacted Seasia Infotech. I want them to build an online platform where we can work seamlessly by serving our clients with GL records and other property listings.
What were your goals for this project?
We want a web platform where neither our clients face any problem nor our team. We don’t want our clients to adjust to the constraints of our system. We want to redesign our workflow where our clients will not face any issue regarding the operations they want to perform.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We looked into their portfolio over the internet. One of the businesses listing website shows them among the top 20 web design & development companies. They have an impressive showcase of work which I find fascinating. They have the expertise we need and when we contacted the team, their quotation was surprisingly affordable (as their equivalent or less expertise industry quoted us far too expensive packages).
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Our business needed a website where our clients can look for real estate properties they are interested in. We also wanted to offer a 60-days Trail period to see how we offer our services. We also needed to pre-design 200+ statements and letters for the benefit of our clients. Seasia Infotech helped us in developing a robust website which not only pleases our clients but also our team. It dramatically shortens the time-span of our operations.
What was the team composition?
They assigned one dedicated project manager who was all eyes and ears for us there. Also, he confirmed that for completion of our project they have appointed two frontend developers and two backend developers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
When they deliver the website, I like the features they add to streamline our workflow. It decreases the time taken in completing regular tasks which gives more time to my co-workers. It finally results in increased productivity which reflected in the ROI.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The communication was frequent and the project manager was always helpful in providing necessary information related to the project. I say seamless for the workflow between their team and my team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I like the idea of adding 60-day trial period for the service section. This increases our subscription rate enormously. Our clients love that feature and with that, we have the acquisition rate high as ever.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Till now, I haven’t seen any area as the website functioning is seamless. However, I would love to consult them for new add-ons for my website.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the managing director of Novamarks Integrated Services Limited. I serve as an IT consultant to the Lagos, Nigeria, government.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Seasia Infotech?
We hired Seasia Infotech to develop Lagos’ automated probate registry system. We required a CRM for the state judiciary along with other web and mobile app development services and testing.
What were your goals for this project?
We hoped to receive a high-quality CRM delivered on time with reliable code.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
While we entertained offers from several companies, we found Seasia Infotech to have the greatest understanding of the scope. They have an impressive online portfolio demonstrating their mastery of the technology we required. During my initial contact, the team was very professional and eager to help make sure my needs were met. Their price quote also fell within our defined budget. Because this was a state government project, our discussions took more than a year, but our point of contact kept the relationship alive throughout this period while we arranged all of the parameters.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Seasia Infotech provided end-to-end development of a CRM that manages wills, letters of administration, and grants of probates, among other documents. The CRM needed to align with the government’s requirements and policies.
What was the team composition?
I worked with a delivery manager/business analyst, along with three frontend web developers, two backend developers, two mobile developers, two testers, and two designers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The launch was hassle-free because of Seasia Infotech’s streamlined processes. The portal automates several previously manual tasks, giving the government office staff a boost in productivity.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The entire team was professional and communicative. The delivery manager/business analyst was always helpful in providing us with the information we needed.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They couple a professional attitude with a transparent communication strategy and other well-defined processes. They went the extra mile to make sure our expectations were met. They made our dream software a reality.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, they fulfilled all of the requirements. We are already planning a new project with them.

Seasia used Xamarin to develop a cross-platform solution featuring sophisticated team-planning and accounting tools. Outstanding project results earned them further involvement.
After finishing beta testing, the launched app will likely attract up to 10,000 downloads in the first few months. Seasia Infotech’s consistent performance, weekend availability, and ability to meet aggressive deadlines continue to catalyze great results.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of 24Geeks, which is a startup that’s building a video-based contractive platform.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
Since our business has a limited budget, we are bootstrapping it through WonderGeeks.com, a sister company. With WonderGeeks, we are taking local clients from Germany in a software agency model and outsourcing the work to India. This is where Seasia Infotech became involved.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our first project with Seasia was for a cross-platform mobile app using Xamarin.Forms. It was a football appointment and financial management system with 2 sections—1 for football coaches or team leaders and 1 for players. Coaches can add plans for a training session or match in a certain location to the app, and a push notification will go to all, say, 20 players, allowing them to confirm their presence. Based on this, coaches will determine whether the training will take place. This is a short description, but the app was really complex and large.
The second module of this app involved accounting, letting the players pay for the expenses of the team through the app. In a football team, an accountant is responsible for managing all expenses like cold drinks for games. After a player takes a bottle, the accountant will tap the name of that person, thus accumulating their dues within the app. Even though I’ve described it in a few sentences, it’s a huge app of 80–90 screens.
What is the team dynamic?
We were able to work faster by assigning 4 programmers simultaneously, along with a German programmer from the client side, myself, my co-founder, and a QA resource. It was a large, Agile, and hardworking team. A few of the members worked until midnight for the full 60–65 days in order to complete certain tasks. Seasia worked every Saturday for at least 9–10 hours on average.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
I have over 6 years of experience with outsourcing to India through my first company, which was started in 2008 in Afghanistan. There is a limited number of software engineers in that country; since I couldn’t afford local development, I had to outsource the work to India. At the time, I used oDesk [Upwork] and learned the hard way how to filter reliable Indian companies. There are all sorts of options ranging from poor to exceptional.
It was clear to me that if I didn’t find reliable providers, freelancers, and agencies, I’d end up with scheduling and budget problems. Keeping this experience in mind, I had a dozen different parameters when choosing my agency in India for outsourcing. I announced the job on Upwork and went through over 60 applications. I followed up on 20 of those and picked Seasia Infotech.
What is the status of this engagement?
The contract started in May, and Seasia was brought onboard in June. This was a time-sensitive project, with a launch date of August 1st in order to match the start of the Kreisliga. We had around 10% accuracy on the deadline. We will be launching it in the app store in a few days, but it’s currently in the beta store. We had a bit of a delay, which wasn’t due to Seasia but was related to the client’s publicity plans. They intentionally did not release it, but the app is already there. In 2 months, we were able to finish a huge contract that local German companies estimated would take 6 months.
I have started a second team with Seasia to build a React Native app.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app was released for beta testing a week ago. During this time, we onboarded 3 teams, which are friends of the client. After the release, the expected number of downloads in the first few months is 5,000–10,000.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
There were no departures from the team. Every member was committed. Since I speak fluent Hindi, I could communicate specifications with them in that language. There were no significant project delays since we had daily meetings, regardless of whether there had been progress. I think that helped with team motivation and staying up-to-date. We might have been a day late in certain circumstances, but this is normal for Agile, fast-paced projects.
They have a separate meeting room and have also contacted me on my personal number from there when I was away.
What did you find most impressive about them?
After recruiting companies and freelancers, I have found that agencies are preferable to individuals. A freelancer sitting in their own space can have a bad day and turn off their laptop. If we want to put 3–5 different freelancers on a project, they’d be separate from each other, living in different cities. Seasia’s team works together under a single roof; they go to lunch together and have built bonds over their 3–5 years at the company. I have access to a full resource package at the click of a button. As long as I’m a good project manager, I can talk to them daily and provide motivation and clear instructions. They feel like my own employees for the timespan of the project.
Of course, I have had some bad experiences with companies as well. Around 2009, I had a contract with an agency for some design work. This project was important—a book printing press for the United Nations. The agency disappeared, and my project really suffered.
It can be risky to hire a single company for multiple projects, as everyone can suffer if the relationship is ruined. In India, there are thousands of great agencies with 300–400 developers. After working on a big project with an agency, I don’t go for a second with the same agency. Relationships are vulnerable, and contracts can be breached by contacting the client directly or by the company going bankrupt. Managing projects over multiple companies means that if 1 goes down, another won’t, and there will be fewer headaches.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have been satisfied with everything. If they hadn’t closed their Upwork profile, I would have given them 5 stars in every area. Seasia is a professional company, and they had logged 300,000 working hours. Over this time, they will definitely mature in all parts of their profession.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are an online advertising site for the estate sale industry. We advertise nationwide estate sale companies and their upcoming auctions, providing related articles for sales related to famous people, vintage items, and so on.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
I had gotten to a certain point building our website, but I didn’t have the skillset to go further without help.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I created the initial portal, but it has changed a lot between beta and now in terms of design and functionality. Seasia Infotech helped develop things which might seem minute, but are really not in the grand scheme of things, like custom search functions. They have created an app that allows me to gather content from any website, as well as to create company profiles and sections. They created many search functions and did some design work, like logos. The input I’ve received from Seasia Infotech has been a critical part of the service.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
I approached them right from the beginning. I received a referral from someone I’d known for a long time, who is the head of IT at his own company. I wanted to find a talented team that could help me with any scenario I could think of.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Seasia Infotech in March 2016.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There haven't been any issues or items I wanted to build that they couldn’t handle, or for which I was unsatisfied with their work. My business would not be the same without Seasia Infotech’s help. I consider them a part of my team, period. If Seasia Infotech wasn’t helping me, the business would definitely not be where it is today.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Considering that they’re halfway around the world, Seasia Infotech has been very responsive. I’m not used to working with outside firms, but communication is one of their high points. They can get the job done quickly, and communication has never been an issue. I have a dedicated representative and if I need someone in on the spot, they provide someone for me.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve worked for advertising companies for almost 16 years, and have collaborated with many talented people. Seasia Infotech has treated my project as their own. I completely trust them, given that they have access to items I wouldn’t give to anyone else. They are amazing in terms of getting things done compared to any company I’ve worked with, internally or outsourced. It was actually shocking, but Seasia Infotech is spot-on when it comes to things like this.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be more convenient if they were located in the States, but other than this I haven’t had any issues.

Seasia Infotech developed a mobile app meant to connect users with specialized health coaches. Key features included payment portal integration, automatic scheduling, and document sharing.
After completing the complex product last year, Seasia Infotech handed off the launch and marketing to in-house staff. Their team consistently demonstrated technical aptitude, followed through on bug fixes, and delivered well before the deadline.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of Health Coach Connect, an online health coaching company that connects health coaches to clients who are looking to make healthy lifestyle changes or reverse or prevent diseases such as weight loss, diabetes, and heart disease.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
They developed a mobile app that connects our clients and coaches.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seasia Infotech built the app from scratch; it was a pretty complex project. The app allowed admin to take care of payments, schedule consultations, oversee what the coaches were doing, and connect coaches to clients and upload documents to them. We can go into the documents and see how much each coach makes per month.
Then, the coaches have a side where they can input their schedule so that clients can make appointments with them on a recurring or weekly basis if needed. They can upload documents and share them with their clients and send text and video messages to their clients through their rooms. Each coach can be assigned a client. For instance, if they have a caseload of 20, each coach has his or her own individual room where they can go in and work with that client, upload documents, etc.
The client side has a lot of those features, plus these users can upload their photo and bio, fill out a health history form, and sign their treatment agreement electronically, all within the app.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
We interviewed several companies originally, but all of them either wanted to charge too much or they didn't have the expertise. We eventually hired a guy in New York. He told us that he was working on the project, but when the deadline came around in February 2016, we found out that he had never worked on it. When we learned that, we terminated that relationship. Then, our web developer and project manager found Seasia Infotech through Upwork. We interviewed them, and they said they were confident in what they could for us, so we went ahead and hired them.
What is the status of this engagement?
I think we hired Seasia Infotech in March 2016, and the project was completed in September 2016. The work is done for the most part. If we find any glitches or issues, Seasia Infotech has agreed to fix some of them as they come up. If we want to update something or add a feature, we’ll hire them for that change.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?
We don't have many clients right now, so I can’t give good statistical data. We’re still working on getting our company launched, and our focus is on marketing at the moment.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Several people from Seasia Infotech worked on the app. It was a good team effort. We used Skype to call them over the course of several months, so we got to meet the crew that way. It was a little frustrating working with the different time zones, but we made it work. (We were up at 6:30 am, while they were up at 6:30 pm.) Overall, everything has been pretty good.
What did you find most impressive about Seasia Infotech?
They’re pretty awesome to work with. I really appreciated the team’s efficiency and effectiveness. The developer cared about our project and our company. We had to have the project finished before October, and he had it done in September. In October we were going to our first conference to launch our product, and we found some glitches that we hadn't seen before. Seasia Infotech got right on it and was up late working on the app, which we appreciated.
Are there any areas Seasia Infotech could improve?
One area for improvement might be the language barrier we experienced when working with them. It would have helped if they were a little bit more cognizant of the written language because sometimes they would have stuff written on our app that we’d have them change several times.

Seasia Infotech was subcontracted to develop two separate solutions. They assembled dedicated teams responsible for design/development and were supervised closely.
Communication rarely prevented project advancement, which is uncommon when outsourcing reasonably complex work. Another strength was how well assigned developers worked under pressure.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Please introduce your organization and what you do there.
I am a middleman between European clients and outsourced companies in India.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What business challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
I had a .NET CMS project that was meant to facilitate communication between managers worldwide. The specs were reasonably complex and the timeline not insignificant. With that in mind, I began to search for outsourcing companies that might fit the bill.
SOLUTION
Please describe the scope of their involvement.
Since I work on the commercial side, I don't understand coding very well. I have worked with Seasia Infotech on two projects: an English-based one and a Dutch-based one. The latter had a fairly large scope, involving a full translation of the content from Dutch to English.
Seasia Infotech gave me an explanation of how they worked and what the technical details were. After the scope was fully understood and the project started, I worked with their programmers.
Seasia Infotech assigned seven employees to the first project, including an account manager with whom I could get in touch whenever I had a problem. The second project had two resources.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
I found Seasia Infotech through oDesk, which is now Upwork. I did consider other companies, but I appreciated Seasia Infotech's response. They had a straight proposal, and it was love at first sight for both of us. I had a good conversation with Seasia Infotech's account manager. In outsourcing, briefing is important for a good result.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Seasia Infotech in April or May 2014. We have an ongoing relationship, but there are no active projects at the moment. I am looking for clients, and I also run other businesses. Our latest project took place six months ago and involved PHP work.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
I'm very happy with Seasia Infotech. They are a CMMI Level 5 company, which was an important factor for me. I liked their technique and programming skillset. I also like to communicate with Indian companies in general; they are kind people, are never mad, and are easygoing, which is completely different from the West. This is the reason for continuing our partnership with Seasia Infotech. They consider me their partner, even though we don't have active work.
My client company's CTO liked working with Seasia Infotech's team. I was involved in the management process. It was a small project for building a WordPress site. Translating Dutch to English proved a bit difficult, but Seasia Infotech handled it okay. The project was eventually moved to a team in the Netherlands since the company found it best to communicate in Dutch.
The CMS project went badly for me because of the company's CEO. I wasn't paid for the work, so I ended up losing $35,000, but Seasia Infotech did a very good job. Their members are followers of Sikhism, which normally means they’re very honest people.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Seasia Infotech uses project management tools, and they are a very professional team. They know how to approach the work, especially for big projects. For my own projects, I've used email and Skype for communication. I have direct access to their project manager, and I also keep in touch with RP Singh, their CEO.
What distinguishes Seasia Infotech from other providers?
Seasia Infotech is not a money-based company but a people-based one. They are not money wolves, and this is what I've liked the most about them.
Is there anything Seasia Infotech could have improved or done differently?
No. Overall, in terms of communication and tactical abilities, Seasia Infotech has a very good team.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your organization.
We are a management consulting practice dealing with projects involving digital-transformation initiatives.
What is your position?
I am a co-founder of the company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What business challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
We don't actually have any systems development and implementation capabilities. We are mostly architects, strategists, and program managers, so, after we are done with the initial strategy or design piece, we will sometimes help clients reach out to agencies like Seasia Infotech, which can actually build and roll-out these ideas.
SOLUTION
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
We partnered with Seasia Infotech for two client projects, including the deployment of an online cloud solution. It ran from blueprint until launch and maintenance. The scope was an online learning platform for educators and students. It was a classroom tool featuring easy signup and onboarding, through which teachers could use audio-guided sessions for helping students in their day-to-day activities. There was also an administrative side of the project, allowing admins to manage users and monitor analytics. We took care of the design, while Seasia Infotech handled the implementation.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
We found Seasia Infotech through a personal connection. One of my friends had used them and reached out to me while I was looking for some low-cost resources with a high degree of reliability and communication. In that sense, Seasia Infotech fit the bill.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
The cost is project-specific, so it's hard for me to provide a total figure. The monthly rate was in the tune of $15,000 to $20,000 for both of our projects. We worked with Seasia Infotech for around one year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We had our first talks with Seasia Infotech in July 2015. The work was started in September. Everything assigned to Seasia Infotech was finished in October 2016. We have continued our communication, and we are pursuing further opportunities. When the right time comes, we will engage Seasia Infotech again.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Seasia Infotech is a very professional team. We ran our projects through an Agile methodology, with two-week sprints which were delivered as promised. Seasia Infotech adapted to changing requirements and provided rapid designs for those. They are a good team to engage within a setting like this. There was no paperwork involved. The overall project scope shifted a couple of times, but Seasia Infotech was still able to finish it on time. I don't know if there's a metric for trust and reliability, but Seasia Infotech is good in this regard.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Seasia Infotech provided a dedicated project manager who acted as my point of contact. It was a very collaborative relationship, without which we wouldn't have been successful.
What distinguishes Seasia Infotech from other providers?
I appreciated Seasia Infotech's commitment to the project. They didn't simply write a bunch of code based on our instructions; it was a collaborative process.
Seasia Infotech remained accountable and available throughout the day for any unexpected events. More importantly, they provided clear communication, as would be expected from a technology partner.
Is there anything Seasia Infotech could have improved or done differently?
We did not pursue Seasia Infotech's resources on the creative design process, many of the requirements changes being taken on by our team. Seasia Infotech taking a more active part in the creative process would be an improvement, instead of taking ideas from our side.
Do you have any recommendations for others considering working with Seasia Infotech?
Spending a couple of days upfront, before the project takes off, is crucial. I recommend running through different scenarios and having a clear idea of which persons will take care of specific tasks. Not rushing into the development right away and having an alignment at the start of the project will pay dividends later on. There will be no room for ambiguity by doing this.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We provide technology advisory consulting and CTO services.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
For clients needing software developed, we need experienced teams that understand DevOps processes, that have experience with various technologies, and that are good to work with.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They have worked on a wide range of projects including everything from a large ERP [enterprise resource planning] platform using 50 of Seasia Infotech’s resources, a subscription-based video delivery platform using six resources, to various WordPress websites which usually involve two of Seasia Infotech’s resources.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
We originally found Seasia on Upwork (oDesk at the time).
How much have you invested with Seasia Infotech?
We have used Seasia for a wide range of projects totaling over $2 million in the past five years.
What is the status of this engagement?
We are currently engaged with Seasia on three different projects, two for mobile and one for the web.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
All projects have been delivered successfully and have been received well by the target user base. As far as evidence, we have continued to work with them on new projects, so that is the best evidence I can give.
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Seasia put several levels of project managers on the project which helped at different stages. We have had business associates to development team leads, project managers and senior project managers, and overall program managers, which have all helped as needed.
What did you find most impressive about Seasia Infotech?
They are committed to meeting the project goals. Everyone knows that tech projects rarely go quite as initially scoped, and Seasia has been very good at adapting to changing requirements, changing budgets, and everything in between.
Are there any areas Seasia Infotech could improve?
Seasia could benefit from increased attention to detail on the UI [user interface] earlier in the process. They tend to save UI clean up until the end, but clients get frustrated while reviewing interim builds when there are misspellings or other general careless mistakes in the UI.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Seasia Infotech?
Have an onshore technical team lead/architect to mirror their team lead and to ensure that requirements have been properly understood at a technical level. Oftentimes, there is only one onshore project manager or business associate that cannot evaluate if the whole team has understood the requirements at a low level.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director of development at Drivermatics Limited, a UK company that has developed a smartphone application called Drivermatics for Apple iOS and Android devices, along with a cloud-based backend database and web portal. Drivermatics is a BlackBox Dashcam data recorder that utilizes the GPS, Accelerometer, and Camera in today’s modern smartphones to record a driver’s journey and provide scores based on their driving ability. Drivermatics also features an accident management workflow engine that assists drivers if they are involved in an accident or experience a vehicle breakdown.
Drivermatics is free to download and use for individual personal use. The Drivermatics commercial model is focused on partnering with insurance companies and insurance brokers to provide discounts to policyholders for safe driving behavior. Our FNOL [first notice of loss] workflow engine allows policyholders to immediately notify their insurer if they are involved in an accident and provide near real-time video footage for evidential purposes, thereby improving the speed of any claim and helping reduce costs.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
We had the initial concept and idea of what we wanted to achieve with the Drivermatics application. However, we are not talented developers and therefore needed to outsource the development work for the iOS, Android, backend website, and database platforms. We initially kicked off a proof of concept with a UK development agency, however, due to high anticipated costs, the decision was taken to move the development offshore.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seasia provided business analysts, graphic designers, iOS developers, Android developers, and .NET developers for the project. Seasia would take our high-level requirements and then deliver the scope of work for the development teams to code against. They were not frightened to question or challenge some of our ideas and contributed significantly to the overall success of the project.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
After carrying out a proof of concept with a UK development house, the indicative costs to move forward with the full development of the project were way outside the budget that we could initially afford as a start-up. We then began to look offshore for the development and looked at companies in China, Eastern Europe, and India. The two Chinese companies that I contacted were both happy to have dialogue over instant messenger but were not keen to speak on a voice call. It was a similar situation with the Eastern European development teams. It was only after contacting Seasia that I finally found a company that was more than willing to have voice conversations.
How much have you invested with Seasia Infotech?
I would prefer not to disclose the actual figure, but it’s over $250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We commenced working with Seasia in September 2012 and spent around 2 years building the application before the release. We then spent another year adding features. Seasia currently provides bug fixes and maintenance releases for us.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did Seasia Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?
Seasia provided a program manager and 2 business analysts who kept the project on track, along with providing regular minutes and actions following our weekly team calls.
What did you find most impressive about Seasia Infotech?
What really cemented the relationship were several visits to Seasia’s offices in Chandigarh. This enabled me to meet face to face with the team and build rapport, which made managing and engaging with them from thousands of miles away so much easier. Being able to meet them helped their team understand my way of working and vice versa. More importantly, Seasia understood how the app was supposed to behave and function. Everybody from the maintenance staff, through to the developers and right up to senior management, are all friendly and professional.
Are there any areas where Seasia Infotech could improve?
I have nothing to recommend.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Seasia Infotech?
Build in a visit to Seasia’s offices to meet your team face to face. You don’t have to go there often, but from my personal experience, the project was much more successful and enjoyable following my first visit.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seasia Infotech?
I had an interesting business idea to execute into a business model. I came across Seasia through an online job portal. I had various proposals; after analyzing their past projects and expertise, I found Seasia to be the best possible option to award the project to. The challenge was to build a social networking application for working professionals and business people which provides a complete B2B and B2C solution. The business model allows users to search for jobs, to find resources with required skills, and to get professionally linked with people for improvements in their profession/business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seasia’s team has been greatly motivated and involved in various tasks throughout the scope of the project. They have been working in a combination of various smaller teams to accomplish the project, which include: business analysts, designers, and PHP, iPhone, and Android developers. The scope of their involvement included converting business requirements to software requirements, and code it to make it a launchable product.
How did you come to work with Seasia Infotech?
I had uploaded the project model over an online job portal, and Seasia managed to stand out from the rest. They had provided an impressive solution to suit my needs and had an exceptional track record with past projects.
How much have you invested with Seasia Infotech?
My investment with Seasia Infotech has been around $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2013, and it is still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
My work relationship with Seasia Infotech has been great so far. One such instance has been when the project site was encountering a technical glitch, and even though it was late at night for team Seasia, it was just a matter of me reporting the issue, and Seasia was very proactive to handle it. The issue was resolved in a very short time frame. They have been informing me of possible issues proactively whether it is about the business model or anything technical.
How did Seasia Infotech perform in terms of project management?
Seasia has its own project managers and business analysts that had become in charge of the project. They would actively engage in weekly status updates, proactively reported and resolved issues, and met project deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about Seasia Infotech?
Seasia Infotech has been very impressive regarding project management, time management, issue handling, and proactiveness.
Are there any areas where Seasia Infotech could improve?
Not sure whether this is good or bad about them – mine was a product startup kind of work, and there were process "sticklers" who sometimes took more time than what I expected. Though Seasia always met the deadline to which they committed, I feel that they can loosen up a bit on their processes depending upon the client's need and type of project.
