BACKGROUND

I’m the CEO of DecoKing, which offers high-quality textiles online. Initially, our company only served the Polish market, intensifying e-commerce sales activities through Allegro. Now, DecoKing also serves customers in Germany while looking to expand to other western markets. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

To support our company’s developing order volume and customer service, we needed to improve our order-handling process. We contacted X-Coding IT Studio in order to solve this problem before our order numbers increased even more. We asked them to design a tool that will not only fulfill our current needs but also allow us to maintain our scaling process over the next few years.

Primary tasks included identifying new and improved areas for automation in our business processes, providing software to support this automation, and embedding the application in our existing IT environment (Subiekt GT). 

SOLUTION

Our cooperation with X-Coding IT Studio started at a pivotal time for our company. In order to grow the business, we had to build a better IT system that would automate a growing number of customer service elements and sales processes. X-Coding IT Studio created a system that has allowed us to boost our sales volume while maintaining permanent employment rates and increasing the reliability of our customer service.

I heard about X-Coding IT Studio through a friend who’d worked with them previously. After learning how well that engagement went, we chose them as our partner.

Our company’s rapid, efficient expansion wouldn’t be possible without the specialists from X-Coding IT Studio. Our cooperation resulted in an intuitive system that operates quickly and reliably. Although I can’t disclose any metrics, I can say that the new system has impressed both our customers and employees. Everything functions better.

Their whole team seemed open, friendly, and professional. Although I think they could’ve finished the work faster if they had a bigger team, they met all of our timelines. 

BACKGROUND

I’m the director of development and technology at TIM SA, one of the largest distributors of electronic and technical goods in Poland. Our 25 years in the industry, including 17 years on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, have allowed us to gain priceless experience in this market. The company has won many prestigious awards from organizations such as Gazele Biznesu and Diamenty Forbesa.

I’m in charge of creating and managing the vision of the department, developing and introducing cutting-edge technologies, and cooperating with external partners and internal stakeholders.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Due to some existing recipients and market requirements, our specialists were faced with the challenge of building an application. The product needed to be useful and ergonomic. Because our main customers are B2B entities (wholesale and retail stores), our purchasing process must be as simple and clear as possible with intuitive product searching features.

SOLUTION

All UX/UI elements were designed based on functional models. This made it much easier to reflect our store processes on mobile devices and allowed us to implement changes without unnecessary costs. Based on our workshops with X-Coding IT Studio, we developed an optimal customer service process and order implementation while maintaining all industry-specific functions from the internet store.

X-Coding assists the team that’s responsible for development modules on our website, which is based on Magento 1.6.2.0. X-Coding also created a mobile app call mTIM for Android and iOS, which communicates with our API. Both the site and the app support similar functionality. The team includes 10 people, most of whom are developers.

We found X-Coding through another partner, Divante. After a couple of months, we started to work on mobile apps together. X-Coding is flexible and focuses on client business. Their team members are engaging and have great knowledge of Magento and mobile technologies. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The mTIM app developed by X-Coding Studio has been met with a positive reception from customers and employees. It has several functionalities to help customers in their daily business and synergizes reliably with the website.

Another advantage of the entire implementation is our API web service, which supports customers’ external systems on web or ERP [enterprise resource planning], allowing them to retrieve product offers or check their TIM inventory.

During implementation, X-Coding has shown great commitment and initiative in achieving our business goals. We use a Scrum methodology and communicate via Redmine and Google Hangout. They have great communication skills and focus on  growing their client’s business. However, they could improve their code quality and testing process.

For what projects/services did your company hire Satisfly (formerly X-Coding IT Studio)?

We needed a sales platform to sell the highest quality products with a convenient and accessible UX design; we also wanted a user-friendly dealer’s panel. The platform had to meet our strict quality standards.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the website to look good and display important product information. Concurrently, we wanted a custom UX to ensure its intuitive flow. We had struggled with these goals in the past.

One of X-Coding IT Studio’s former clients recommended them after being satisfied with their results.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

We divided the project into five stages: joint design for a new e-commerce direction; UX mockup design; graphic design; store implementation; and consulting. The company has continued to provide insight and advice.

What was the team composition?

We worked with UX designers, graphic designers, marketing specialists, developers, and a sales team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The implementation was a breath of fresh air for Fitness.shop.pl. More detailed product descriptions helped drive the increase in sales. Customer satisfaction also improved considerably.
