Reenbit has provided development support for one of my projects. We are developing an Android and iOS app that will be used to organize accommodations for a church conference. I handle the business and communication aspect with my client, and they take care of the actual project implementation using Azure. They’ve used .NET, Angular, and Ionic.

The project is currently on pause, but our partnership is ongoing. We expect to resume development in a few months.

I looked around for developers through Google and Clutch. I found Reenbit, and their website interested me in working with them — they were Azure-focused and seemed very professional.

Reenbit has been a great team to work with. I’m very satisfied with their work. 

How did Reenbit perform from a project management standpoint?

Reenbit is good at project management. They’ve been very committed to the project, and they put in extra hours if necessary. It has taken some time before their team has settled, but we now have a good rhythm. We use Github, Slack, and Zoom to collaborate.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Reenbit has Azure expertise — they’re very knowledgeable with the technology. Additionally, their communication skills and company culture are impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a tight collaboration — don’t just give orders and forget about the project. Get to know their team and establish rapport, especially at the beginning of the partnership.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The ERP and WMS system Integration has resulted in saving time ( 70%) and at the same time ensured that we have a solution that can handle future growth. The PDM and ERP system has has resulted in saving time for the product creation in the purchasing department (50%).

We had used Azure Devop for documentation, project management, repos, pipeline. We have used Teams for daily communication. We had worked with an agile project model and primarily used weekly sprints.

We have received proactive sparring. We had direct access to the whole teams. High skilled developers. They are very good at communication.

What challenge were you trying to address with Reenbit?

One of our key clients here in the UK is a global management consulting firm. They’d worked with us for some time, and they expressed an interest in setting up a nearshore software delivery team. We were only delivering from our offshore center in India, and they wanted to build something closer to home.

We needed a partner who could provide staff augmentation services. We weren’t willing to partner with just any software house; we were looking for Xero and Microsoft technology stack specialists to bring together a high-performing team from Ukraine.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work with Reenbit as an extension of our team. We deploy their resources onto our client’s account. Our client knows them as Reenbit, but the team recognizes that they’re flying underneath our umbrella. The client pays us, and we pay Reenbit.

The number of resources varies. At the most, we’ve had five custom software engineers.

How did you come to work with Reenbit?

I found Vasyl’s (CTO) profile on LinkedIn. His individual tech background was really impressive. I reached out to see what he and his team could do for us. We decided to partner with Reenbit for their expertise in Ukraine. Also, they were experts in Xero-based software development.

We’ve spent £700,000 (approximately $960,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2019, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve consistently exceeded expectations and customer satisfaction metrics based on quality and resource performance. In the three years that we’ve worked with them, we’ve never had to stand down anyone on their team for underperformance. Moreover, we’ve never had to address any shortfall, which is remarkable in software development.

How did Reenbit perform from a project management standpoint?

The code quality and their working speed have always been on par or above. We talk in real-time throughout the day; it’s a very collaborative and agile environment. Communication and the overall sense of a one-unit team are very present.

We use Azure DevOps, and we communicate via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stand out for their deep technical expertise around specialty technologies, including Azure data services. They’re Azure ninjas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there hasn’t been anything that we couldn’t iron out. In the early days, the culture divide meant that virtual whiteboarding sessions weren’t as engaging as they could be – everyone wanted to be heard and step out. However, it only took a few months to resolve those minor issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want to engage Reenbit as an extension of your organization, having in-person interaction is essential. We spent a bit of time in their Ukrainian office, and they were great hosts. We also brought them over to the UK.

Overall, we’ve developed a personal relationship with Reenbit, which has helped us build our high-performing team. Therefore, anyone who’s serious about building a long-term relationship should consider spending a week to see them.

I am the owner and president of a company that provides software services to government organizations all over California. Nonprofits and county agencies use our software to manage their clients and the services they provide, among other things.

What challenge were you trying to address with Reenbit?

Our software was designed over a decade ago. It’s still wonderful and does everything we want it to but it uses dated technology and has an old interface. We wanted to completely rewrite it using the latest technology, so we hired Reenbit.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Reenbit took our software and rewrote it using the latest technologies and tools. We didn’t have enough expertise within the company for this effort and Reebit complemented us really well. We gave Reenbit the exact specifications of our current software and told them that we needed to make a copy of it with the latest tech. We also had them make additional functionalities and features for a completely different-looking interface.

We took advantage of the latest concepts, technologies, functionalities that didn’t exist 10–15 years ago such as integrated video conferencing and bidirectional text messaging. Things like that could’ve been done with old technology, but it would’ve been very clunky, complicated, and not at all elegant. It was easier for us to go in the direction that we did.

We have five people who are working on it: a project manager, who is basically the lead, and four developers.

How did you come to work with Reenbit?

We had a couple of vendors before Reenbit, but both were unsuccessful. We did an extensive online search using different engines and found Reenbit. 

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent about $250,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them for almost a year now since August 2020, and we are still working with them. The first stage of the project went live two weeks ago, but we probably have about another year of development ahead of us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, the software still has the same functionality, but it now uses the latest and greatest tools. Working with Reenbit has allowed us to keep our attention on supporting our current customers. 

There have been a couple of cases where I need to do an urgent demo of the prototype, and the entire team worked the whole weekend to put it all together for us. There were so many new things that we decided to build, and Reenbit worked hard to make sure that we had something presentable for that demo.

How did Reenbit perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager is absolutely excellent, and that is probably the best part of working with their team. He is a core developer as well so he does do quite a bit of development himself, but he manages the team along with all the deliverables, processes, and communications. That has worked out amazingly.

Our team works unimaginable hours as it is, and having a separate, self-managed development team has been extremely helpful for us. We meet with them on a daily basis to look at the progress.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would say the most impressive thing about them is their project management. It’s not really just the person, but their process as a whole. Other agencies we’d worked with developed and developed only to show us an end result that had gone in the wrong direction. With Reenbit, however, we have daily meetings to review what is happening.

We have lots of back and forth to make sure that they truly understand what it is that we’re trying to achieve instead of having them do guesswork. There are lots of really good developers out there who are fantastic, but it really helps a lot if there is someone managing them properly

Are there any areas they could improve?

If they could move to the United States, that would be fantastic.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you have enough overlap for daily communication as we ourselves only have a couple of hours in the morning. Reenbit works absolutely perfectly once they get a description of what to do. They are totally fine with handling it themselves and they’re fantastic at email communication, but it is very helpful to have a daily review and face-to-face meeting. Daily half-hour meetings are all it takes.

I’m the CEO of eClou. We do energy-sector projects in the German market for energy suppliers or grid operators. We do digitized processes and have some applications with freelancers. One app allows installers to qualify themselves to work on a grid operator. The other one is a safe app for suppliers, which allows them to close contracts for commodities like power and gas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Reenbit?

We developed a few small applications ourselves, and we decided to do a bigger microservice platform. However, we had no knowledge about that. We needed help with web app development and wanted someone with deep knowledge about the energy sector. We don’t have many developers in-house — we only have product owners, so we hired Reenbit to help us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, we discussed what technology we could use to build the microservice architecture with some consultants. Once we had the plan ready and knew what technology we wanted to use, we got together with Reenbit to develop the project. Reenbit developed the microservice architecture from scratch. They also built different services to connect with this architecture.

Reenbit develops most of our applications. They use Azure, Angular, and .NET Core. One of the key features that they developed has the ability to calculate commodities for bigger companies, which is a very complicated process. Users can create a prognosis of a load profile and calculate a price.

Another key app they developed is a CRM tool for the energy industry. Representatives have their own app and can organize all of their appointments and create contracts. These are web apps, but now we’re working on our first progressive web app (PWA) — eventually, we may create mobile apps.

What is the team composition?

We started with one developer, who implemented a small app for us. Our first team had an architect, a frontend developer, and a backend developer. At the moment, we have a team of eight people, which includes an architect, a QA, two backend developers, and two frontend developers.

How did you come to work with Reenbit?

We searched on Upwork for a good company that could develop our requirements. We found Reenbit and had a very good discussion with them. They had a lot of ideas and knowledge. In addition to that, they were the only company who called us back after a week and inquired about what was going on.

At first, we didn’t expect to contract them. However, they were the only company who asked why and how they could improve in order to work with us. I decided to try to work with them on smaller projects, which were very successful. In the end, we chose Reenbit.

We work in-depth with Reenbit. They’re very fast and good at progress. All of the results have been good every time, and our customers are all happy.

The DevOps and testing processes are really good, too. They help us with everything; whenever we have a problem, they are available and have a solution for us.

How did Reenbit perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything works well. We work in an agile process and communicate using Microsoft Teams. For project management, we use Jira and get Atlassian reports. We stick within timelines most of the time with high quantity. Additionally, we have monitoring tools in the background.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Reenbit is a very young company that wants to grow. They’re very enthusiastic about everything they do, which is really good. We work very well together.

Not only do they develop, but they also have solutions to provide every time. They do what we request, think about it, and present suggestions and better solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had to learn together at the beginning of the project. At first, we didn’t make good requirements; therefore, we didn’t get good results. However, I’m happy now — I don’t have anything that Reenbit could improve.

They’re a bigger team now. If one developer doesn’t have time, there’s always another developer to put in place. Everything works out well without any delay.

If they don’t know the business, give them good requirements. That way, you’ll get the best results.

The vendor was asked to take an embryonic design and functional set of requirements and translate those through to a working SaaS application. They were instructed to consider the requirement for having data both in a multi-tenant solution as well as in an isolated stack. 

Outcomes were largely centered around building an MVP of the solution such that the go to market position was strong enough to determine customer sentiment and garnish real world feedback. Timeliness as well as strong communication was key throughout the build. Control of the project deliverables in an agile way was also a strong requirement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Measurable outcomes were the ability to integrate PowerBI into the application early on whilst working on delivering the main core of the application behind the scenes. As the app developed the powerBI portion of the solution was retired in favor of a new reporting tool which required the translation of the former report engine through to the new. 

In addition to this novel GUI and UX designs were required to reduce scrolling and core business logic was required to ensure application sanity and prevent fuzzy logic. RBAC policies were considerably complex and requirements for user side customisation were presented to the vendor and proved no challenge.

Project Management was achieved through the use of ADO and agile methodology. Where necessary we moved to a Kanban type structure for rapid feedback and quick pivoting.

Most impressive was their ability to find the right resource who could translate complex requirements into actionable tasks. Their ability to confer and congregate on our pressure points and risks to find innovative ways to ease the concerns were exemplary. Good comms throughout and well structured project mgmt style.

None significant enough to mention. Any minor issues were dealt with swiftly and without challenge or complaint.
