Bank Card Branding & Web Development
¡VamosPay!, a prepaid MasterCard provider, approached us to build a new website that would better engage potential card holders, a specific underbanked population. Our approach was to build consumer trust by designing a welcoming online community that feels accessible, trustworthy and relatable. See live site at https://vamospay.com.
Before Redesign
The ¡VamosPay! website was in need of a brand refresh. The site did not effectively communicate the company’s core mission, which is to provide a banking solution for underserved communities.
Rapunzel Creative felt that the design of the old website did not leverage the brand assets in a way that was appealing to its users.
After Redesign
The goal of the redesign was to more directly communicate the product offering while using the ¡VamosPay! brand’s exciting color palette to bring life to the website.
We felt the use of real people combined with illustrated icons conveyed a sense of authenticity combined with fun.
Community
Bringing in a sense of community was vital in the redesign of the ¡VamosPay! website. ¡VamosPay! is aimed at underserved communities and it was important that those communities saw themselves represented on the site.
Brand Ambassadors
We brought in brand ambassadors to give confidence to the ¡VamosPay! user that they are using a credible product.

Web Development, Branding & SMM for Food Service Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a director of marketing at LiveWell with Traditions, a food service company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We needed someone to launch our new brand by understanding our goals and objectives.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency has done WordPress website development from scratch and branding for us — we started by giving them a brief on our background so they could understand our vision for the project. The branding portion of the process includes packaging design. In addition, they’ve been creating short videos and other content for us so we can post them on our social media accounts.
Currently, we’re also working on social media management (SMM) with them.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 4–9 members of their team, including Lynn (President) and Bruce (Design Director).
How did you come to work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We found them through word of mouth and chose them for this project based on their price point and ability to understand the niche market of our brand.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve received positive feedback on their web development and social media management work.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They deliver on time and are responsive to our needs. Regarding communication, we use email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re great at project planning.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Dewey Electronics has been the leading resource to the U.S. government for innovative power solutions for some of the toughest applications and environments. My position is Product Line Manager.
For what projects/services did your company hire Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
Our website had become outdated. We hired this team to provide the site design and copy for us. By doing this we were hoping to increase our traffic.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They were referred to us by the company that originally created the site but no longer handled our type of business. We selected them because of their affordable price, industry experience and personable team.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After a series of meetings to discuss goals and intent of the new site, they created a design for the main page. Once we approved the design, they finalized it and moved on to other pages, greatly improving content and user experience.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
In total we worked with 4 people including a project manager, designer/developer and a copy writer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Their documentation was very organized, thorough and easy to follow. As a result the new site is updated and much more user friendly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The entire team was very easy to communicate and work with throughout the entire project. They answered questions quickly and provided timely updates. Everything was delivered on schedule.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team worked together very well, and I was really impressed by their knowledge and experience as it related to both design and development, as well as the marketplace. I really appreciated their patience during the process as this was my first experience redesigning a website. Overall, working with them was a collaborative and positive experience.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There is nothing I would change about this experience. All expectations were met.

Please describe your company and your position there.
The owner of Sasha Hair and Nail Designs. We provided all types of hair care and nail care services for our clients
For what projects/services did your company hire Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency, and what were your goals?
I felt the salon needed professional help with our social media needs. We needed a more and consistent approach to managing our social media.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
After searching on the web for different companies that handled this type of issues, I contacted a few companies. I spoke to Lynn Gregorski at Rapunzel Creations and felt an immediate connection and set up a meeting and followed through by retaining her services.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We spent a lot of time discussing what the salon needs were. We began by building a brand new website, which was more updated and current then the website we had and started to build our presence on the internet. The creative team from Rapunzel took over handling all my posts on facebook, instagram, twitter etc.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked with 2 members of the team. Laura who worked with me on all the posting to our social media accounts and Lynn who worked with me on all the projects that we did.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our postings on line began to receive a lot more views and likes. When searching on line our salon was appearing on the first page and we began to receive a lot more new client calls.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had monthly meetings especially in the beginning and then we went to phone interviews and many emails back and forth. They were very responsive for anything that I needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were able to handle any and all of my social media needs. You could tell that they really cared about their clients and that was extremely important to me.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I don't believe that there was any more they could have done. They were very thorough.

Brand Evaluation & Update for Craft Brewery
"They took feedback well, and in the process taught us to do the same with respect to our marketing."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
The Alementary Brewing Co. is a 6-year old regional craft brewery located just outside NYC in Hackensack, NJ. We both manufacture our own beer brands as well as performing contract brewing for other breweries. I'm an owner, and Head of Operations.
For what projects/services did your company hire Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency, and what were your goals?
We hired Rapunzel to perform a brand evaluation and recommend updates to our Brand as they deemed appropriate. At 6-years old, we felt it was time for a fresh set of eyes. Our goals were a focused update of our brand, specifically targeted at sales assets.
How did you select this vendor?
We found a number of companies online, but many of the craft beer focused firms we could find were a little too formulaic. We liked that Rapunzel was geographically close to us, that they already knew our business as guests, and that they weren't already biased by the state of the craft beer market.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
Their scope of work was to rewrite core branding essentials (like our tagline, unique selling proposition, etc.), perform a brand market evaluation, and propose updates to core branding elements. In this first engagement, sales materials were specifically called out as needing to be addressed. They also delivered a new branding guide outlining all of their findings.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 4 people, including a graphics artist, copywriter, digital specialist, and the firm owner who coordinated all efforts.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Rapunzel was able to retain, but refine our branding identity and help us to better understand our position in the market. Their visual updates provide a more powerful representation and result in faster, more accurate brand identification.
Our new sales materials are consistently complimented by our clients as being some of the best that they've seen. Given the state of the world in a pandemic, it's difficult to tie direct revenue benefits to their work but all signs point to that being the case.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They're incredibly efficient and respectful of time. They take a kind, but professional approach and aren't shy about making their recommendations clear. We had zero issues understanding what was happening, what the next steps were, and what their deliverables were going to be.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are very consistent, but also understood that we brought our own industry expertise to the table. Our discussions were full of questions and resulted in us both learning new things. We were initially frightened of bringing in a new firm because of the potential of a "new sheriff in town" mentality. But that wasn't the case with them at all. We shared ideas and experiences, they took feedback well, and in the process taught us to do the same with respect to our marketing. It's rare to find that in any supplier.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly, no. We had a misunderstanding of the opening phases of the project, but once they had established the cornerstone elements the pace of the deliverables we asked for came quickly. They could have pestered us a bit more, but all in all we think they were fantastic.

Rebranding for Healthcare Facility

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Eastern Christian Children's Retreat, and we’re a healthcare facility in northern New Jersey that cares for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary, but our name didn’t necessarily reflect who we were as an organization. In fact, there was a school system nearby called Eastern Christian, so there was a lot of confusion in the marketplace.
On top of that, we didn’t have children in our organization because they had already grown up. As a result, we hired Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency to help us rebrand ourselves to be more in line with who we were as an organization.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve been meeting them and providing them with documentation that they need to help us roll out our new branding. Their rebranding services include renaming our company, recreating our logo, providing web design services, and more.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with 5–6 people from Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency, including Lynn (President).
How did you come to work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
I found them through Google. We interviewed several different companies, but we chose them because we were able to connect well with Lynn.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $20,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in September 2021, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We appreciate that they listen to who we are as an organization and based on that, they identify opportunities that can help us grow. Overall, they’re invested in our success.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
We have team meetings, usually every other week, and our internal organizational committee meets with their team. All of our meetings are also documented, and we have a calendar of the timelines we need to accomplish. The calendar helps us in following up about their status and keeping up with the deliverables they’ve finished. They have a great project management process, and we mostly communicate through email and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’ve been very helpful and responsive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’ve been meeting all of our expectations.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Assign a designated point person who’ll work directly with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency’s point of contact. It’s important that you don’t have a lot of chefs in the kitchen to ensure things move smoothly.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI), a licensed ambulatory care center in Hackensack, New Jersey. We provide free primary care for low-income working Bergen County residents who don’t have health insurance. Most of the care is provided by clinical volunteers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We needed somebody to do our graphic design work and to implement a complete overhaul on our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency revamped our content and ensured that we have a fully functioning website that could compete in today’s increasingly virtual world. They helped us to transfer from Wix to WordPress, and we’ll be launching the platform sometime next week.
The other project involved our print materials, and the team was in charge of creating our final two newsletters last year as well as our year-end appeal. We’ve also got a consultancy project going on with them, and we’re working to revamp our mission, vision, values, and brand promise — this project is basically focused on telling the world who we are. After that, we’re going to create our annual communications calendar in order to tighten up our messaging.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with Lynn (President), their graphic designer, consultant, and two project managers.
How did you come to work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
They did some pro bono work with us early in the pandemic and they put some messaging on our website. As a result, when our long-time graphic designer passed away in 2021, we were stuck. In the end, we reached out to Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency to help us.
How much have you invested with them?
The website’s around $15,000, and the rest of the work costs around $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in March 2020, and we continue to collaborate.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s going to be difficult to share metrics because we haven’t launched the website yet, and we haven’t done an evaluation of their work. However, judging by the number of letters I’m signing and the amount of money that came in, last year was our most successful year-end appeal ever. I’ve never worked with a full-service marketing firm before, but I see us continuing our work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency because we’re very happy with the results of our project.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a good project management process; they’re good at keeping track of all the balls that are in the air. In fact, I think we’re too slow for them because we have a lean staff here, so they keep us on our toes for sure. We’ve had to slow the timelines down a little bit so that we can do the work that we need to do between our meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Lynn is enthusiastic, and she’s fun to work with. She’s also knowledgeable, and she’s got great ideas. As a result, we’re getting a lot of value for our money. We’re really grateful that we now have more sophisticated materials because of them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They can do a level-set at the beginning and frequently throughout the projects so that our timeline can match theirs. It took us a little while to get the website work off the ground because we weren’t really sure what we were doing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Do a level-set at the beginning of the project to ensure that everybody has a complete understanding of what the project requires. In our case, there was never a question about what we wanted the outcome to be — it was more about how we were going to get there and what was required from us.

Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency has been doing web development, SEO, marketing strategies, and advertising for us. Their efforts have also included writing blogs, mailing campaigns, and social media management.

How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $100,000–$200,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve increased by 2–3 times our number of leads per month, which is essential for me as a business owner. In terms of the SEO work, I can see how we will be getting better results in the future.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re spot on! They communicate if anything changes or needs adjustments, so we always know what’s going on before it happens. In terms of tools, we use a project management platform, phone calls, text messages, emails, and weekly meetings to discuss strategies.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s easy to work with them and understand marketing very well. They have the experience and knowledge to break everything down in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand. In addition to that, they have all the resources to tap into different subject matter experts in various fields to help us get the most out of our investment.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — I’m delighted with the relationship and the work they’ve done.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be involved in the project; if you’re spending your money and trying to grow your business, it’s important to understand how marketing works.

Website Dev & Design for Mental Health Clinic
"Their ability to get to know our organization really impressed me. It’s something that we really value."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work as the human resources specialist for The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic. We are a nonprofit behavioral health center, and we do community outpatient mental health. We also have on-site staff psychiatrists.
We have partial care programs for children 2–11 years of age, who are one step prior to hospitalization. They come to our daily program Mondays–Fridays for three hours a day, to undergo medication monitoring and play therapy. Additionally, we also have school-based services where we provide actual counselors in the Passaic school system.
We are heavily involved in afterschool programs within the city of Passaic. We run a licensed daycare for teen parents at the state high school as part of our parent linking program. This enables them to have the ability to have free child care and pay for their high school diploma.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We had a website before which wasn’t very informational and eye-catching. Therefore, we looked for Rapunzel Creative to make us a relevant spot on the website and bring in more services. We have been called the best-kept secret by some of the people within the city, but no one really knew that we were out there because we didn’t have an online presence.
We hired Rapunzel Creative to really showcase what we do.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rapunzel Creative provided front- and backend development on our WordPress website. Our administrative director met with them for the initial take on the website. We then sorted out a team that worked on the website that was made up of our board president, executive director, administrative director, and then myself.
Lynn (President) from Rapunzel Creative, set up the timeline for what we were going to do. She asked us to look at different websites to see what we like, what we don’t like, and we were able to walk through the whole page setting pretty easily.
Then we had to write content about the program, and Lynn walked us through again about gathering images for the site. I met with her almost once a week through the whole process to make sure that everything was in order.
Towards the end of the process, once the site went live, I gained the ability to go through the training with Lynn and one of her other web designers. They taught me how to tweak the website myself if we wanted to. We are actually paying for the monthly maintenance so they do a lot of stuff for us on a monthly basis. I was trained on how to go in and change job opportunities, wordings, update our COVID-19 policies, and things like that. It was also great that someone on our staff is able to go into the website and update it as we see it.
What is the team composition?
The two main people that we work with are Lynn and Leah (Web Designer).
How did you come to work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We found her from this other behavioral health website that we looked at. We called and asked them who did their website and they recommended Rapunzel Creative. We called them, and Lynn came in and gave her presentation. She’s very animated and conversational — it’s very easy to talk to her and get an idea and vision from her right off the bat. I think that along with the different pictures she brought from the jobs they had done, really made the decision for us to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
I believe we’ve spent over $10,000 for the entire project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The ongoing partnership started in September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our initial metrics for the project were just to have a little bit more exposure, and to get some additional requests for services. They have not only met the metrics, but they've also exceeded them. The system has been live for about 5 months now and we’ve had over 60 requests for services.
We also wanted to increase our internship program because that’s actually something that we’ve struggled with. We gained 20 applicants for internships as well, which is something we didn’t anticipate. Those are the numbers that have exceeded what we were hoping for in our initial six months of being live.
Additionally, with the anxiety of COVID-19 along with a lot of us working remotely, the ability to be able to communicate without actually having to pick up the phone I think has helped our clients tremendously. It’s a really great tool for our current clients to just gather information.
I also think the quality of their work is excellent. Lynn is great in terms of walking us through the context and how we want the homepage to look. I have been the point person they communicated with the most, and they're incredibly easy to work with. They have wonderful suggestions and they're very patient with us since this was really the first time we built our website. They're great at taking our very clinical wording, making it more user-friendly, and putting it into laymen’s terms.
This made our website more eye-catching and easier to read — which was one of the things that we liked most about it. Even now if I have a query, they’ll immediately write back and provide us with excellent feedback and suggestions. I appreciate having that backup on the other end if I need it — It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
I think they're incredibly organized. There's always a set agenda, and I think that knowing what needs to be done sets a sort of boundary for us which I think is great. It allows us to stay on schedule and on task, and for us newbies, it's incredibly helpful.
There isn't anything specific for our communication tools. It's sort of an open door where I could send an email or give a call and either way, I get feedback. And that feedback is given within the day so we never feel like we're hanging for an answer.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their ability to get to know our organization really impressed me. It’s something that we really value because they aren't just looking at the colors or the setup, and things of that nature. They really got to know our organization and highlighted the things that we thought were impressive. It’s one of the things that makes the website great in our opinion.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, no. I think they have a nice balance of giving you the information you need and providing you the space to get it back to them. They have a nice contrast of how they work and how they communicate with the client.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open to the ideas they present. I think that worked really well for us. Coming in, we didn’t know what we were doing, so we were very welcoming to suggestions. I think for other people who want to work with Rapunzel Creative, give their suggestions and ideas a chance. I really think they’re very talented and they know what they’re doing.

Our organization provides office coffee service, catering, and other office amenities to companies in New York City and New Jersey. In addition, we specialize in a high-end technology coffee experience referred to as the top brewer. My role with the company is VP of sales and business development, which predominantly has the focus on driving the organization’s primary revenue. In addition to that, I’m also responsible for the strategic partnerships and relationships and making sure they have a positive outcome and long term business development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We hired Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency as a means to have a larger marketing team. We basically wanted to outsource our marketing initiatives out of house for a broader spectrum to add value and more experience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency works with us on various product and service campaigns to address the changed marketplace that we have due to COVID-19. They work to rebrand and reposition some of our products and services in response to the corporate environment and, in marketing, with both the work from home and the work in the office employee segment.
In addition, they help us with website enhancements, social media content, articles, and other marketing exposure. Some of the social media content they create, its a shared responsibility, is for Google, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The website enhancements include modifying pages to be the most informative during the changed business environment.
What is the team composition?
Lynn (President) is my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
I took some referrals and references from other people that I got. Then, I also looked at the reviews through Clutch when I was researching the other advertising and marketing firms locally based. The experience in the initial interview process with Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency, along with the reviews and the personalities all seemed to be a great match with our team. Lynn was very quick and willing to host an introductory meeting with the other marketing area specialists that are a part of her organization with us, even prior to any sort of formal agreement or contract so that we could see what they brought to the table and if they’d be the right fit.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in August 2020 and the relationship is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve made a lot of adaptations, but the direct sales result of the work is yet to be seen. I don’t feel like that is directly correlated to the lack of good work, but it’s a matter of the state of the business economy. It’s really hard to evaluate a changed business environment right now when nobody is back to work yet.
How did Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
It has been excellent, Lynn is very good. We have a great cadence of weekly and daily calls, as well as emails to follow up with work and product approval. Technology is also used to manage the project. Sometimes I think things take longer than they should, but I think that is because I don’t know the caliber of the whole team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They do what they say they’re going to do and it is often timely. I really feel like Lynn is a part of our team and it has been a seamless transition. She works well with our company and our internal players as if she’s one of our own.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there is nothing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I highly recommend them and think they’re great to work with.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rapunzel Creative Marketing Agency?
We were looking to redo our case for support since we had programmatic changes.
What were your goals for this project?
To communicate to our donors, volunteers and staff the impact of their donations. Since we were changing and adding programs we wanted to make sure that our old donor base still supported our work.
How did you select this vendor?
Personal referral.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
They did a printed case for support brochure and matching website. The brochure included our mission and vision. Each page would reference a program and include a problem and the solution our agency provides. We also included statistics about our programs. The corresponding webpage helped us with another avenue to communicate to donors.
What was the team composition?
We worked with our account representative and there was a web designer and another copywriter she worked with.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We have heard, anecdotally, from staff and donors that the case for support is easy to read and the corresponding website is interactive and engaging.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We worked well together through email and weekly updates.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
understanding of our agency and ability to work within a budget.
