Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

QATestLab selected a team of 8 QA engineers who had previous experience in testing fintech software. It was especially important for us to hire testers with the knowledge of the specifics of such products as we didn’t have much time and resources for long recruitment and onboarding of the new specialists. 

Their team joined us in a couple of days and provided necessary QA support at different stages of the development process. They tested the functionality, UI/UX, and compatibility of our app with various devices and versions of OSs and also performed user acceptance testing. 

During the whole project, their QA engineers established and maintained a stable and transparent testing process, providing high-quality test documentation that reflected the state of the software in real-time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of the biggest positive outcomes that we noticed as a result of our collaboration was the minimal number of post-production bugs in the app. Due to fast and well-organized QA activities that were efficiently incorporated into our development workflow, the regression testing didn’t take as long as it usually does and we managed to get the app ready for the release even sooner than we anticipated. 

We delivered a stable app with a smooth user experience across a wide range of mobile devices. This impressed our client and helped us gain their trust for the future.

Their QA Project Manager was our main point of contact with the company. He was always there for us and helped significantly with the incorporation of their QA engineers into our team. 

There wasn’t much need to manage their specialists from our side as all the tests were performed on time and there was detailed test documentation to check everything if we wanted to. We received coherent and constructive feedback about the quality of our app, which was the most important for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

At first, we had some doubts about hiring an external team. We were worried that it might delay the development since there is always a risk of the new team not matching with the in-house specialists. However, we were truly impressed with how they adjusted to our processes and were ready to share their insights, giving valuable recommendations on improving quality. Our team found their QA engineers very efficient, well-organized, and skilled.

Are there any areas for improvement or something QATestLab could have done differently?

We haven’t noticed any drawbacks in their approach.

The QATestLab team conducted functional, integration, regression, and compatibility testing for our AR application. They covered the whole functionality of the app with tests and also ensured that our app operated seamlessly across multiple devices. Testers also created all the necessary test documentation, which made it much easier to keep track of the testing process.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were looking for an independent partner with experience in testing AR apps and a pool of real devices since it wasn’t reasonable for us to buy the devices for testing. Team members were very organized and provided daily and weekly reports on the work done. Testers performed comprehensive integration and functionality testing, detecting several major bugs, which were fixed soon.

We primarily interacted with the QA Project Manager at QATestLab. He effectively managed the entire testing process through online meetings and email correspondence, ensuring that tests adhered to the test plan and deadlines were met. I was impressed with the efficiency with which their management team responded to our emails and chats. They promptly integrated new requirements and addressed questions as they arose.
