We were looking for a company that will be able to provide us with software development services and create a digital product that will help us to entertain our customers during the trade fair. Moreover, we would like to collect our potential customer data, so we decided to create Quiz App.

In the beginning, Qarbon IT maintain workshops with us and collect all requirements. The next step was creating UX/UI designs. Just after that, they started the development process. The project was quite small, so we decided to have 1-week sprints. After each of them, the results were presented to us on demo day.

The main threat was that the application should work offline and online as well. While online synchronization of databases should occur. Qarbon IT picks the best-suited technologies: Vue.js and Node.js. The application is working on a touch device with a windows system.

To develop an application a team of 4 people was required - project manager, backend developer, frontend developer, and manual tester.

The cooperation was very good. Qarbon IT was able to deliver the top-notched digital product in time. Now we are using the product during the trade fair and decided to move the product architecture to the cloud. We would like to be able to use this application on many devices. Once more we picked Qarbon IT to do that.

The project manager was responsible for the progress of the work and for keeping us informed about everything. The management style was one-week sprints, where we reviewed the results so far, set features that had to be eventually fixed, and the future course of the project.

Qarbon IT delivered the project on time. They were transparent in their actions and gave us good advice and suggestions.

There is always room for improvement and we will improve your tools in the future to meet customer expectations.

Our main goal was to create a platform from scratch. From the initial chaos, a specific idea was born, which was entirely realized for us by the Qarbon IT team. Our idea was to create a web and mobile application which helps freelancers from that particular industry to find a job near a place of their interest.

It is a company with which we have been cooperating from the very beginning of their establishment. Earlier projects were successfully delivered, and all the cooperations went smoothly. We trust them and we know that the projects they work on are always made on time and buttoned up to the last button. It was an obvious choice for us.

From the beginning, when an innovative idea started to evolve, we have worked closely with Qarbon IT. They helped us in creating a list of functionalities and User Stories. The team of software engineers picked up the most suitable technologies for this particular project.

This time this was Vue, React Native, and Node.js. Work on the project took 6 months. During this time, they delivered the app, which is divided into a panel for the employer and employee. It has features such as displaying job offers only within a certain radius from the location and searching for users based on their skills.

In the beginning, all consultations on what the application should look like were carried out by the CTO and Qarbon IT technicians. After that, we worked with a team of four software developers, both backend and frontend. The team was looked after by the Project Manager who was responsible for the whole process of development.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was delivered on time. Communication with the team was clear and regular meetings kept us informed as the work was moving forward. Two applications, both mobile and web, were delivered with all the functionalities we expected.

The work was divided into weekly sprints, during which progress and challenges for the coming week were arranged. Each developer had assigned specific tasks, which he diligently implemented, and everything was supervised by the Project Manager. The communication took place online, but it was not difficult. We were up to date with the progress. What’s more, the software engineering team was helpful to us with the entire plan for the application.

Thanks to them, we had an answer to every problem.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Qarbon IT got strongly involved in the project and made it a priority. They have extensive experience, which is why they come up with the best solutions - the ones that will certainly work. They are not only great application providers but also our advisors.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our cooperation is long-term and I think we both learned a lot from each other during this time.

We wanted to develop an SSR RWD Landing Page and frontend of a web application - a cryptocurrency exchange app. Our goal was to improve traffic on our website and accelerate delivery and code quality

Qarbon IT was recommended to us. We checked their portfolio, asked for the cost estimate, and arranged an interview with them. The most deciding factor was that they already have experience with projects in the cryptocurrency field.

We discussed with them our expectations. The goal was to finish an application that was partially done, based on designs prepared by the graphic designer We also asked Qarbon IT team to create a new landing page. They used NuxtJs in conjunction with Vue and served content via Strapi. The first stage was to make a design project for web and mobile and then implement these solutions.

At first, we interacted with the Sales Manager and the CEO. The whole project lasted 3 months. Qarbon’s team consisted of two dedicated developers and one Quality Assurance specialist. Moreover, we augmented our team with Qarbon IT’s Senior Vue.js Developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 3 months we saw the results of the cooperation. We’ve seen a tremendous boost in traffic on the website and gained new customers. Web and mobile design are modern and transparent. Navigating through the application is simple and easy. If it comes to the frontend of our web application we’ve noticed a great improvement in delivery and code quality.

We had direct contact with Qarbon IT’s developers. The Project Manager was easy to communicate with and provided any updates. Everything was delivered on time and the whole team was available to us, so there was no stagnation through the project.

Qarbon IT always looks for improvement on its own. If there was any suggestion from us during the project, they followed it and made changes. But after all, the whole collaboration was successful and there were no bigger problems. I am truly satisfied with what Qarbon IT did.

I hired Qarbon IT to create infrastructure for a mobile application. The application is a kind of communicator. Due to the large increase in the number of users, I needed an efficient, stable and scalable infrastructure.

We have established a detailed programming work schedule. The project creates a backend in node js. A new dedicated server has been configured and a new communication channel with the mobile operator has been created.

The asterisk has been configured for calls and messages. Numerous databases have also been created. Numerous functionalities to be operated in the mobile application have also been prepared.

I chose Qarbon IT to build a new version of a dedicated system to support the loyalty program in shopping centers. The main purpose of creating the new system was scalability and the use of new technologies as well as improving the current system operation.

I know Qarbon IT from projects in other companies. One of the decisive selection factors was the price-to-professional ratio in the project implementation.

Currently, the product is partially completed (basic version) and launched at two customers. Now it is being expanded and some modules are being improved. In this year we have plan to implement new functionality.

For the purposes of my project, we have established weekly work statuses. We use Slack and ClickUp for ongoing project communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I had direct access to team of developers like my team. It was very useful in solving problems quickly.

Two things: 1. The testing process could be more accurate and detailed, in my case some errors were not caught. 2. During the duration of the project, I sometimes lack creativity and proposals to solve problems. This problem has been resolved by some people in the project.

We were looking to do a custom application for a public kiosk that would list and display ex-military veterans on the wall of a high school.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qarbon IT developed a custom web application with tailored hardware. It’s a 4K application with data synchronization. The team also set up web servers and managed the administration portal. We provided them with mockups and the process flow, and they completed the work off-site.

I worked with three people, including the owner of the company.

They were recommended by a very good friend who is also a programmer. He had done other projects for me, but this project was a little too big for him. He recommended Qarbon IT. After a conversation with them, they seemed like a great fit.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did an excellent job. I was very impressed with their professionalism. They handled everything, from the input all the way to the final execution and installation. Currently, the app is 95% done and is operational. We’re just correcting a couple of bugs.

We communicated via WhatsApp and email. They have a project management system we had access to as well. I could see what was going on with the project at any time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creativity was impressive. If we had a problem, they already had a solution. The speed of their execution and their attention to detail was also impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m very happy with them. I’m going to use them again for the next project.

I highly recommend them because they're easy to work with. Due to the time difference, you can send work out in the evening and have it done by the morning. Just try to provide as much information as possible upfront.

We received fully functional and working website and we were able to launch it at the scheduled date. Every bug and error where immediately fixed.

They managed the project without our participation- we don't know much about programming and technology and we didn't want to know much about work details and also we weren't interested who and what is doing on our project. The only thing that interested us was if everything is going well and if we get the project on time and if it will work for us. And it was both - working and on time.

Very friendly but at the same time very professional approach to the client. The cooperation was nothing but pleasure.

I would say that they could be faster and cheaper but I understand that their designs wouldn't be that good then. Therefore I would not change anything.

I am the president and project manager of an energy contracting startup. We are the first in Poland and, as I believe, one of the first in Europe, who created an internet-based tool for remote energy contracting for entrepreneurs. Thanks to a perfectly designed website, the entrepreneur can contract a favorable price on his own or with the help of a call center from one of the recommended energy suppliers. The system works as a broker and comparator in one. Over the next 5 years, we want to provide 5% of the total market (100,000 customers) and enter external markets.

How did you select Qarbon IT and what were the deciding factors?

A co-worker who created the layout and front-end mockup of the website recommended QARBON to me because he was already running several other smaller projects together.

Before the commencement of operations, QARBON interviewed me regarding the company's strategy. So they decided that according to our plans it would be most sensible to put the entire system on JS Vue (for mobile applications). The developers have worked over 3000 hours, which shows that it was a really big project. Along the way, we encountered many challenges and problems that had to be solved for the first time - especially when creating a calculator - when it comes to contracting energy for entrepreneurs is a very complex topic.

We worked as standard for two-week sprints, we improved what was needed and the next sprints. At this stage:

1. During the meetings of the Zepsol, the sense of the solutions I proposed was worked out
2. I have received feedback that due to the design of the system, he will do it in one way or another
3. In order to save both the time of the breakdown and the company's financial resources, I received continuous suggestions thanks to which the system could be expanded with new modules in my opinion, the entire project is the essence of the flexibility of the team and courage in talking to the client, proposing how it is now taking better-than-intended solutions

The contact was mainly with the president, due to the essence of the project - we established the general outline of the sprint it was then discussed with the team that prepared the questions after our online meetings, the team got to work

As I mentioned before - the band did what many had tried before and for some reason it failed. The system has been released for free use by customers - we are at the stage of testing the effectiveness of the direct channel

The method of communication is very important to me. And this was what I was assured of from the QARBON website, instead of hearing programming slang, We explained what we wanted to get, and the team presented solutions on how to achieve it. We communicated a lot on click - great communicator.

First of all, the approach to the originator, i.e. me. The team did not follow my orders, but with the help of the right questions, they figured out how the system should work, and then they designed it in this way. It seems to me that this is due to the perfect way of managing resources at QARBON.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I assume that there are no things that cannot be improved, in my opinion it would be possible to pay attention to testing the system, although I realize that the final test must always be carried out by the originator.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qarbon IT?

I was looking for a company that could provide complex solutions for the website and application I was creating.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qarbon IT has provided UI/UX designers and programmers that created everything I was looking to build. Their UX designers prepared all the screens of the website, then passed the work to the UI designers, who added colors and other graphic elements. 

The programmers took over from there and they also built the backend database to which all applications connect. One of the components is a scanner that goes through almost 20 different exchanges. We built it with one language initially, but the site is able to have other languages added easily.

After we defined the bigger idea, we focused on small parts like how the scanner and news aggregator should work, and what websites we were going to screen.

Qarbon IT detailed the information they would need from us at each stage, starting with the goal of the website, who would be its clients, and what colors we wanted. They made a lot of suggestions as well, and they created everything from scratch, including the logo.

What is the team composition?

There are 2–3 people working on the website, and 4–10 working on the app, depending on the moment. I worked with different developers at each stage, depending on my needs. 

How did you come to work with Qarbon IT?

I asked around in my area about companies that could build the app and one of my friends referred me to Qarbon IT. I met one of their owners and discussed the scope. Later, when I was looking to create the application, I decided to work again with Qarbon IT based on the first experience.

How much have you invested with them?

The cheapest application I built with them was around $2,000, and the most expensive was between $200,000–$300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The first project with them was around May 2019. My latest project with them was in 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m satisfied with how they work. The most important thing for me is that they’ve delivered the apps on time. They’ve always been accommodating to the changes I requested.

How did Qarbon IT perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve mainly worked with one of their project managers, and I discussed everything related to the application with him. I’ve also had meetings with the developers from time to time, to discuss specific matters. I’m satisfied with how they’ve handled the process. We communicate mostly by phone, email, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with other developers in the past, but I didn’t like the delays they had. Things changed when I switched to Qarbon IT. It’s not typical to finish things on time in IT, but I’ve been satisfied with Qarbon IT from this point of view, which is the most important thing, in my opinion. Most of the time, they suggest solutions I hadn’t even thought about, which is very helpful for me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything I’ve gotten from them was on a high level, so I’m satisfied. There could be some internal improvement points for them, but I don’t see anything from the outside.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Qarbon IT is experienced in multiple programming languages, and they work well. These are the most important things for me, and I’d highly recommend them to someone else.
