We decided to appoint Our Own Brand to better establish our company presence both online and in the community. As a small, close-knit team working engaged in a number of complex projects, we found that we didn't have the dedicated time, resource or expertise to develop our presence ourselves.

Our Own Brand stood out to us as sector experts in driving growth for brands and widening audiences. As an organisation wishing to broaden our mission, message and reach to all members of society, Our Own Brand not only provide a service that can allow us to do this at pace, but their expertise and execution will no doubt create future opportunities for us to broaden our networks and reach.

What were your goals for this project?

Our primary goals are to widen our audience, networks and community presence so that our messages can be digested and actioned by an ever increasing audience.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We conducted a search for online agencies and wished to work with an independent, creative agency that was able to dedicate the necessary time to understand our context and wider advertising objectives. We found that Our Own Brand were very versatile and more flexible than a number of "larger" agencies. Ultimately it was the bespoke approach coupled with the quality and diversity of their current projects that made the decision easy for us.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

After appointing Our Own Brand, we met with both directors of the company (Sarah and Richard) to discuss our goals. Both were extremely flexible and keen to understand the background of the company and the context of the sector we work within. We continued to engage and liaise with both Sarah and Richard on a regular basis to develop a delivery plan that was creative, diverse yet relevant and credible.

Through taking the time to continually engage with us, Our Own Brand have been able to develop a range of materials that can be used online as well as in person at our local engagement events. We have benefited greatly form a social media brand refresh, website edits and for the development of print materials that are concise yet informative.

What was the team composition?

I have been fortunate to have worked primarily with both company directors, something that has been very refreshing. We have also had some occasional dealings with other members of the team and it has been impressive how both Sarah and Rich's understanding of our project has been communicated and understood by their wider members of staff.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Whilst the project is ongoing as we will likely continually use Our Own Brand to develop our online presence, since the commencement of our collaboration, we have benefitted from a 56% increase in website traffic and more than doubled our engagement levels and interactions on social media platforms. Recipients of our 'for print' material in the community have also been complimentary of how our information is now presented and easy to understand for the reader.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As previously mentioned, we were fortunate enough to work with both directors. It is very clear that both Sarah and Richard are staunchly passionate about their company and the work it delivers. Our Own Brand was highly efficient, friendly and most of all, wholly approachable. They were willing to work with us on any queries we had, big or small.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed with the dynamism and passion that the company demonstrated from the outset and continues to demonstrate

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are thoroughly satisfied with the service and product received from Our Own Brand. It would be advantageous if in the future there was a branch or annex office in further West in the UK but we understand that London is likely where the advertising sector thrives the most.

Very friend and such a personable service. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was captured within one brief. A few minor tweaks and the website and branding was all up and running.

The took time to understand the service offering of Henham Interiors, and asked lots of questions which lead the conversation to cover all elements of website and branding. They had such insight of how the website could be improved and become more approachable to potential clients.

Our main goal was to achieve a site that displayed our open opportunities and provided potential candidates and clients with valuable information and an easy process to reach us while giving us the ability to filter the communications to the correct person.

We had a personal recommendation initially which lead us to successfully contract with OurOwnBrand for marketing and graphic design. It was an easy choice to entrust them with our website design and development.

The discovery meetings with Rich were excellent. He offered us a number of different options to achieve our goals and was very clear in explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each. Once the work started the team kept to the schedule and the update emails and meetings were always progressive. At the conclusion we had a few tidy up items that were handled quickly and effectively.

We worked with Rich and Sarah. I'm not sure if other developers were employed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our jobs are posting, clients have the information they need and candidates are able to find us and apply for the roles they are interested in. The site is a success.

Everything progressed exactly as planned. Communication was easy through email and scheduled video conference calls. The team was always responsive to our questions and requirements.

Then we had a one-on-one meeting with their team to talk about our ideas. Over several months, we exchanged ideas until they put together a full brand package.

We dealt with a single point of contact who delegated work to her team. She understood our ideas and handled communication between ourselves and the designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Three months ago, we didn't even have a name for our business. Now every aspect of our branding is complete.

It was seamless. They talked to us in a way we could understand, speaking on our level without getting bogged down in the semantics. Our point of contact verbalized our ideas to her team, so they always had ideas available for review.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were friendly, enthusiastic, engaging, and great listeners. After our first meeting, I was excited to keep working on our project. Their team shared our enthusiasm.

I don't know how design works, but they only gave us five ideas. It would be better to have more to choose from, but that might be the norm.

Once we completed the marketing framework, we began developing the social media strategy, including regular posting and blog articles, to further engage with our clients and audiences. They continue to guide us through our marketing strategy and manage our social media.

We engaged Our Own Brand to help run a B2B marketing campaign for Shred-it, the document destruction specialists. They developed the strategy, created all content and handled the execution of the campaigns for us, including accompanying content for social media channels.

The team created a sophisticated email campaign for us consisting of both sales and nurture content, developed email templates and designs, bespoke quizzes and branded graphics, all of which hugely increased brand awareness, engagement and sales.
