What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Map and Fire's work led to the completion of deliverables and an evaluation of product-market fit. The team validated our proposed business model, which was quantitatively evaluated. We received survey results that showed a high percentage of traders preferred our business model versus the competition. We also received a measurement of pain points in terms of depth and breadth.

I engaged Map & Fire to launch a market research survey targeting key customer segments to assess product–market fit. The survey ultimately served as a tool to gauge demand for Libra’s premium features. Map & Fire developed and deployed the survey across multiple panels and delivered the raw data, detailed analysis, and a presentation outlining their findings and strategic recommendations.

The market research survey delivered clear, conclusive insights that identified my beachhead customer segment and where to focus my marketing efforts.

Prior to our engagement, Map & Fire clearly outlined all expected deliverables along with an estimated timeline for completion. They were highly responsive to my evolving needs and consistently shared next steps following each virtual meeting. All deliverables were provided ahead of schedule.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was highly impressed by Clay’s analysis, commentary, and depth of knowledge. I gained more insight during our virtual meetings than through my own independent research. It was a pleasure partnering with him on this project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Map and Fire could have done differently?

One area for improvement is designing surveys that are more direct and focused on addressing the core questions or concerns a client is trying to resolve. In our case, we had to run a second survey across multiple panels to identify Libra's beachhead segment. I believe this could have been avoided with more targeted questions aimed at assessing our product–market fit from the outset.

We sought their expertise in branding, market research, and logo design to help us stand out in a competitive market. They did not dissappoint! The deliverables included a detailed brand guide and an awesome logo.

Map & Fire did an amazing job working with us to create our new brand identity that represents our values. The brand guide and messaging has saved us many hours  streamling our marketing efforts. This was a a major effort to help us grow. We enjoyed working with the team so much that we decided to keep Map & Fire on board to continue on this road.

While our experience with Map & Fire was overwhelmingly positive, one potential area for improvement could be offering more in-depth market research or competitor analysis as part of the initial branding process. This could provide even more context to ensure the brand stands out in the market. However, their work was excellent, and we were very satisfied with the results.

I was not exactly sure what I needed in a marketing team at the time. My initial thought was around market research and trying to prove out viability of the products we were designing. After meeting with Map & Fire, the agency provided a detailed outline of their service offerings, the importance of each offering along with a thorough breakdown of costs. We started with market research, then quickly jumped into building the brand. 

Once the market research was complete, the agency then summarized the results, combined with the branding strategy in order to provide me with a very well thought out and concise overview of our business that is being used to raise capital with investors today. I was so impressed with the work the agency provided us, I didn't want to stop there. Map & Fire is now working on copyright and content for our landing page, as well as some variations in campaign ads.

They provided quantitative and qualitative data that supported the viability of our products on the market. They built out a branding strategy with campaign content and then summarized all of this in an easy to ready and detailed positioning guide that is being used to raise capital with investors today. The agency has also provided extensive copyright and content for our "coming soon" landing page, as well as campaign ads.

Everything was always delivered on time, thoroughly thought out and reviewed on a weekly basis. They were available to respond to questions/concerns anytime.

The uniqueness was their level of communication, understanding of the project and the level of interest the showed in our product. The agency showed that they actually cared about our success. It was not about selling us a service, but more about being the "extension" of our internal team that we needed.

I would not say there is much to improve on. They've done everything exactly as it was asked of them and they delivered everytime.

After this was completed, we used the results of this research in a second phase of work to refine the positioning and messaging of the brand.

This work helped us gain a better understanding of who our best segment of customers are and how our app and content aligns with their specific needs so that we can target our efforts to reach more of them. In particular, this will help us as we develop new content and expand more into social media. The work ensured our new team members were all on the same page regarding the unique strengths of our brand.
