We work with MakeBeCool on common projects on Shopify because it's their forte. Our client needed a store on Shopify, so we recommended working with MakeBeCool. The project consisted of migrating from Magento to Shopify Plus, updating the design and improving cross-sell strategies to increase AOV and overall Revenue for Beauty and Personal Care Brand
The team prepared a transparent project roadmap with a reasonable budget and timeline. The migration was executed smoothly, taking into account all SEO intricacies so that the client did not lose traffic and indexation. The updated design and developed cross-sell strategy paid off from the first days of Shopify Plus launch, increasing AOV by 35%. Communication with our side and the client was organized via Slack, all tasks and testing via ClickUp. I would like to specially mention the excellent communication, delivery on time and organization of work to keep everything under control.

MakeBeCool was listed as one of the top in IT companies rating in Ukraine. Their website was the deciding factor though, as it showed that the guys were Shopify experts and partners. Also the contact person was very quick with the responses and helped a lot in moving forward with the project.

As the project was about migration, we started from migrating data and choosing a theme for our store. After we set up several apps, discount and shipping rules. We also made a wholesale section in our online store and as for the final stage, we optimised the website according to the SEO team tech task.

At first We worked with the sales manager and after signing a contract we were redirected to a project manager. Within milestones and tasks we were communicating with three specialists.

Along with the migration we partly changed the design of the website, added content and made it more user friendly. Also, we added some features that pushes a customer to making a purchase. Checkout and overall shopping experience became much more delightful for our new and old clients, we are getting better number and better reviews.

Everything was completed on time and mostly, we were communicating in chat or a task manager. If there was an emergency or questions from the developers team, we could make a zoom call.

The entire application was built within the Shopify native framework - React front-end and Polaris design system.

Project management was very hands on with communication driven primarily through Slack and email. Very responsive.

They were very responsive and customer-centric.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There were issues with aspects of the code as we progressed through the approval process with Shopify. We would have preferred that these issues did not arise.
