I am the Owner of Oly’s Dancesport Studio. We provide dance training and organize professional dance competitions and events in the arts, entertainment, and music industry.

We hired Mainix to build a custom backend platform and infrastructure for managing our dance competition operations. Our goal was to centralize schedules, packages, menus, registration details, event content, seller-mode workflows, and payment tracking in one reliable system. We also needed support for processing large event media files and using Claude-powered infrastructure to help manage and automate parts of our event workflow.

Mainix handled the full development of our custom event management system. They built the backend platform, admin tools, payment/seller mode, and the infrastructure needed to run everything reliably. The main deliverables included tools for managing event schedules, packages, menus, pricing, event text, images, entries, users, and sales history. They also set up payment processing with Stripe, media storage for large event videos, and Claude-powered automation to support our event workflow.

We initially had a website written in GlossGenius, but it wasn’t flexible, had a lot of bugs, and was hard to maintain. Additionally, the booking and admin panel weren’t convenient.

Mainix created the backend with the Go programming language to handle requests from the website and store data in the database. The team also created cloud infrastructure to deliver photos and notifications.Mainix created an admin panel to change any part of the website from the UI. The team also integrated the booking system “Square” to manage appointments from the website. Mainix refactored the website from GlossGenius to a custom solution. As part of the admin panel, the team created pages to manage services, categories, catalogs, contact info, and coin info across the website. As part of the booking system, Mainix created logic to book, notify, and manage appointments.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website became significantly better and brought new clients to my studio. It’s also much easier to manage content with the admin panel. Thanks to the cloud infrastructure, the images load instantly and with original quality. I’ve already gotten five new clients through the website. I’m also spending 50% less time publishing new content and managing appointments.

How did Mainix perform from a project management standpoint?

Mainix delivered on time. The communication was smooth and clear. If some part of the development took more time, they shared the reason and updated the estimates. Overall, it was a well-structured process with good management. We communicated through in-person meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

The most impressive part of our work was the qualification, expertise, and engineering knowledge of Mainix’s team.
