We were trying to increase organic traffic and conversions through SEO and PPC.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Once we described our goals, they came up with a proposal for us. Part of the project included managing and optimizing PPC campaigns, such as Google Ads and Bing Ads. They try to get us the lowest possible conversion cost for us. They test different strategies.

In the SEO aspect of the project, they help us divide existing content and repurpose it into multiple articles to drive organic traffic. They also advise us on keywords and how to optimize out content. We’re now looking into backlink campaign.

What is the team composition?

We work primarily with two people — one on PPC, and another on SEO — and they collaborate with one another quite a bit.

How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media?

We stumbled upon them online. They’ve won a few awards in the UK. We spoke to several providers, but when we spoke to Loud Mouth Media, we liked their approach and how they presented themselves. We spoke to their commercial lead and they seemed to fit our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2019 and we’re still working with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our reports show a significant increase in our organic positioning. More of our pages are rankings in organic search, and our ranking are climbing. Our visibility in organic search has definitely improved. For our PPC campaigns, our cost of conversion is much better. It’s clear that what they’re doing for us works.

How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s very good. They’re easy to work with, easy to collaborate with, and they’re responsive. We brainstorm ideas together and they respond to us quickly when we have an issue. I have quite a close relationship with them and we talk every other week. We also talk here and there in between by email and Zoom.

Their pricing is fair and very reasonable. They’ve been very flexible throughout the pandemic.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very straightforward while other agencies we talked to had exaggerated claims. Loud Mouth Media is more down to earth and practical. They don’t use a lot of jargon and they’re never misleading. They’re easy to collaborate with and they make good suggestions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To be honest, I don’t really have any criticisms. At the beginning, they weren’t very open to backlinking campaigns. They eventually did decide to expand their services to include that. So they’ve been working with us to test that program and have given us a good deal.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a really clear idea of what you’re trying to achieve. A lot of people just want to pass work to agencies, but you get a much better result when you work together as a team and take each other’s suggestions in consideration.

Our new website was developed about two years ago and at that point, Loud Mouth Media was brought on to do our SEO work, which is very much tied to our branding proposition. Conor (SEO Account Manager) contacts me and makes suggestions. 

It isn’t so much structural website work because it is quite a small website, but he does give us advice on the layout. For example, he lets us know if there is a space where there might be more room for text. In addition to handling keyword tracking, they also do our SEO reports every month. 

Another agency does our advertising campaigns but Loud Mouth Media comes on as an additional partner. They do a lot of our PPC advertising as well when we run campaigns. The team is starting to take on link building work as well, but that’s still in the early stages.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with about four people. Conor has been my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media?

I wasn’t with the company at the time when we brought them on. I started in July, and my two predecessors both left at the same time.

How much have you invested in them?

So far, we’ve spent between $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began at the start of 2018 when the new website was developed. The work is still ongoing, and we are actually looking to potentially move to a different CMS, so we would be taking their advice and recommendations.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has been particularly helpful because they are able to give us an outsider’s view whereas I am often so buried in the content and don’t necessarily always see that perspective. We’ve had an excellent, positive, and productive relationship. 

We do a graduate and intern campaign every autumn for student recruitment. We had a really successful campaign just last year where our numbers in terms of applications from students who were applying for roles in the company were through the roof. 

The numbers were more than double what we had the previous year, thanks to Loud Mouth Media’s work. We also have more qualitative measures of success which include developing the working relationship that we have with the team.

How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?

It is a relatively small project so we just do everything via email and phone calls. We will either go to them or they will come to us as we are not too far away geographically. They come very well prepared for meetings and talk us through the successes. When there have been issues, they’ve been willing to address them. 

We get a monthly report from Loud Mouth Media which we use to look at our organic search rates. We also use it to track certain keywords. Conor meets with me every month to go through the SEO report and makes suggestions about content on the website.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Loud Mouth Media is really easy to work with and very flexible. The team makes suggestions that we never would’ve thought of. Their proactivity and creative insights on different subjects have been extremely helpful. Conor has been absolutely invaluable, and that is not an exaggeration. 

He has been fabulous at explaining everything to me and has suggested training that I could do. He is also a great sounding board, so if I have ideas or suggestions, I can run them past him. This makes everything easy to understand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just sit down and have an honest conversation with them. In my first couple of meetings with them, I was very honest that this was all very new. I had done content management in lots of jobs in the past but had neither done SEO and PPC work nor had a budget to spend.

They were great and tailored everything according to my level of knowledge. Have an open conversation at the start about what your expectations are.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The initial conversation we had centered on what objectives we had, who we were trying to target, and the kind of messaging that we’re trying to get across. They also helped us to get an understanding of the different types of ads that would be suitable for us. We prioritized keywords like productivity, task management, and team collaboration, and some long-tail keywords from that as well.

From there, we went through the process of creating the ads themselves and getting them live. Then, on an ongoing basis, we would evaluate the audience the ads were attracting and make any changes in keywords or messaging to tailor that group.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Kevin (Account Manager, Loud Mouth Media) and had occasional contact with a few people from their team when he was out but primarily channeled all of our communication through him.

How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media?

I had worked with Loud Mouth Media in a previous role and they have a good reputation as a digital agency. Shortly before we decided to engage an agency for PPC ads, I had attended a Loud Mouth Media event. So when we were considering doing some PPC ads, I contacted them about our campaign.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our project ran from November 2018–July 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our main objective aside from general brand awareness was to generate leads from the campaign. In that regard we were quite successful, averaging around 20 leads per month. Beyond that, the project really helped us get an understanding of most the effective keywords to be targeting and the types of audiences we should be looking to reach.

How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?

We generally had a weekly call update. For ongoing communication, we used our own platform, Oroson, given that it is specifically designed for that sort of collaboration. We updated our Oroson boards regularly and were able to keep things ongoing depending on what was happening with the campaign at the time. Kevin did a great job managing that and had great attention to detail with our whole account.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Honestly, I think Kevin is a real asset to Loud Mouth Media and is probably representative of their team in general. The personal experience and service that we got from him really stood out to us. It felt more like an extension of our own team rather than working with an external agency.

He was always very interested in making sure we had all the answers we needed and always quickly followed up on all of our conversations and collaboration with the agreed actions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Working with Loud Mouth Media has given us a much more cost-effective way to reach a better-suited audience. We can now target specific people based on their interests. Our web traffic has increased by 98% since we started, and our occupancy rate has risen from 69% to 83%.

We’ve also been selling noticeably more tickets since we started working together. In January 2018, 48% of our sales were through e-commerce. By December 2018, we were conducting 82% of our sales through e-commerce. 

Loud Mouth Media has been integral to establishing an overarching marketing strategy. I’m confident the campaigns will continue to grow over time as the agency becomes even more familiar with our business and operations

How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Loud Mouth Media is very good at project management. We try to meet on a quarterly basis for performance reviews and communicate via email and phone calls. Out of all the agencies I’ve worked with, they’re one of the most efficient. A week has never gone by without hearing from one of their representatives. They send performance reports proactively without us having to ask.
 
During meetings, they recommend new ways to enhance our ad campaigns. The unique consultation they provide based on our proposals has made them stand out since the very beginning. Informed by research, they always consider the best course of action and treat every campaign on an individual basis. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Loud Mouth Media has specialists on staff for the entire Google Suite of projects and every type of social media. Many agencies lack their strategic abilities. The performance marketing director who attends to our account overall personally oversees how we can improve. 

Looking at the overall web product, they’re quite keen to enhance our website’s functionality and design to optimize conversion rates. Even though they’re not a design agency, they willingly make recommendations.

No, there’s nothing I can think of that they need to improve.

Invest the time and financial resources to ensure your website is fully integrated with the Google Suite of products as well as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. 

In the beginning, we often just wanted to launch the campaign and start seeing results right away. Making the necessary investments from the start set us up for beneficial results in the long term.

I’m the marketing manager at Apeer Doors, which oversees Lumi Windows. We manufacture custom composite doors and windows across both businesses for trade companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Loud Mouth Media?

Because we only sell to trade companies, it was difficult for us to secure new business from direct consumers through our websites. There was no sophisticated digital marketing strategy in place, and consumers often couldn’t tell the advantages of our products over our competitors’ at a glance. As a result, we approached Loud Mouth Media to help us increase our brand awareness in the general public and attract more leads through PPC campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Loud Mouth Media has helped us develop digital marketing strategies to generate leads. Our goal is to get consumers to click through our websites and browse our products. Once a consumer has an order in mind, they’ll contact a trade company for installation, which drives demand for our business.

To do this, Loud Mouth Media manages our PPC campaigns, creating ads to highlight our products’ features such as energy efficiency, security, and color options. They’ve also advised us on how to restructure our web design to make their ads more effective. This has ranged from identifying specific visual elements to recommending web designers whom they’ve worked with in the past.

We’re currently working with their team to revamp our websites and increase our social efforts. In addition to having them post ads through our Facebook page, we plan to expand their role to include content for Instagram and Twitter.

When we first started working with them, Mark (Managing Director, Loud Mouth Media) was our main point of contact. Since then, his company has grown considerably, but he still takes the time to check in on us. We now work with Jemma (PPC Account Manager, Loud Mouth Media) who monitors our campaigns and makes adjustments as needed.

How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media? 

We considered two agencies along with Loud Mouth Media. It was initially difficult for us to get a sense of what we needed because we were so new to digital marketing. When it came to the interviews, we didn’t know what questions to ask nor really understood some of the explanations.

Then, Mark came in and broke everything down in a way that made sense to us. He advised us to start off small, making sure that we felt well-informed and comfortable with the process before ramping up. Since then, our partnership has only continued to evolve.

What is the status of this engagement? 

Their work started in 2006 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

All of their efforts, particularly within these past 6–12 months, have generated a considerable number of leads. By increasing public awareness of our products, we’ve encouraged more consumers to place orders through us, which we can then pass along to our trade partners. This has helped strengthen our relationship with those companies because we give them so many leads each week at no charge.

How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team keeps in touch on a weekly basis through phone and email, but we also have in-person review meetings every three months. Jemma and Mark will typically meet with us to go over our performance, answer questions, and plan ahead. Afterward, we all relax and share a laugh. If we’re launching a new campaign, we might increase the frequency to once a month to make sure that we’re on track.

If we need advice for our websites or have a concern about our marketing, we just send them an email, and they’re quick to give us their input. It’s great to know that they’re there to support us in case anything goes wrong.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Not only do they have a clear understanding of digital marketing, but they’re also willing to explain concepts to us in an accessible way. During our meetings, they never try to hide behind big terms to confuse us. Rather, they’re willing to pull up the facts and walk us through each number. By the end of the meeting, everyone understands exactly what’s going on.

No, I can’t think of anything. They’ve never let us down.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients are often scared to ask questions when it comes to digital marketing because they’re afraid of sounding uninformed. However, it’s important to be completely open with any agency to avoid surprises. There have been times when we’ve raised seemingly inconsequential issues that could have actually had a serious impact. Loud Mouth Media wouldn’t have realized how important the issue was to us if we hadn’t raised the issue in the first place.

As with any digital campaign, the project became a bit labor intensive, and we had a lot of work to deal with on our side. We found it difficult to reply to their emails at times, and it would have been ideal if we'd used a project management tool. Regardless, their communication was professional and timely. Rachel brought impressive attention to detail, and the team as a whole was friendly and approachable.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their media capabilities and optimization skills made a difference. They used their budget wisely to produce amazing results. I trusted Rachel, in particular, to do everything she could to optimize the campaign and come up with creative ways of maximizing the budget. We were also very impressed with their weekly statistics.
