LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO redesigned our branding and website, reorganizing the navigation and adding additional features. They provide ongoing maintenance.

I am not sure about exact amount of people, who were working on the project. But the project manager obviously did a great job and lead developer acted as our primary points of contact throughout the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our previous website was in desperate need of an overhaul. The new site is responsive and looks great on mobile. The inclusion of social media feeds enhances and modernizes the UX. The hosted forms minimize the need to go a landing page in order to complete a form and the new demo fields allows users to input their email address straight to us. They were vital in streamlining calls to action on the site, which we appreciated.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had weekly calls to address problems, clarify questions, and receive updates. It would have been helpful to have a standing call on the same day and time each week, which we could cancel if there was nothing to discuss.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They’re easy to work with. When we didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted, they came up with proposals that gave us exactly what we needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. We’ve enjoyed working with them.

Everything was great, only not every time we had time for a lot of communications.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the product manager of the company. We’re a retailer of cosmetics to different beauty studios located in Kyiv, Ukraine. We have seven people in charge of different processes within the company, but we mostly conduct our business through social media. I’m the main contact and I manage the others.

What challenge were you trying to address with LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO?

We needed someone to design our website and do our branding. To be specific, we had a logo, but it was something that we created on our own.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO created our entire branding, which includes our brand book and everything that involved our visual representation. They also designed our website from scratch. One of our requests at that time was to make our platform user-friendly.

We started off with a meeting with their project manager to discuss our needs since I wasn't a technical expert. They came back a week later with their offer and pricing so that I could choose exactly what we needed. 

What is the team composition?

There were two people involved, including the project manager who was really good at communicating my ideas and requests to the other team members. I only met the designer a few times to explain all the visual things we wanted.

How did you come to work with LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO?

I found their portfolio and one of my friends had worked with them before. When I started looking for a vendor for my company, there were two main factors influencing my decision, including the visual aspect of their work and their trustworthiness.

LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO’s aesthetic was very progressive and I loved their style. In addition, my friend spoke highly of LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO’s communication skills and adherence to timelines.

We spent $5,000–$7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from March–November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work helped us a lot. Our main channel of communication with our potential clients was Instagram. Within three months of having our website, I saw a rise in metrics, number of requests, and total revenue.

Additionally, everything became user-friendly and people from other industries who tested the site said so. On top of that, everything was clear. One year later, our site continued to perform great — I wouldn't change a thing about it.

How did LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO perform from a project management standpoint?

They were responsive. Whenever I had a request or wanted a change, they were super nice about it. They always provided us with advice and options to choose from.

Furthermore, they were very flexible and never tried to persuade me that something only had one way of being done. We used Jira, but only for general tasks, and we spoke over emails, Google Meet, and Facebook Messenger.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I loved them because of how cool their work was. Overall, I really appreciated their visual concepts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their pricing was a bit higher than I expected, but I didn’t have any issues with that because the results were worth it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a flexible vendor. LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO will listen to them and will not give them overpriced services. Above all, LOOKSGREAT.STUDIO is able to deliver quality results.

Develop E-commerce marketplace for sale and repair of Apple technic devices with a simple and convenient interface. Website was creating from the begening.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for a studio to develop the design of website and software together for the good price, suitable functionality and programming languages.

With the team from the studio we worked in Figma graphic editor. Firstly we created a prototype of a site, corrected the details, then the designers from the studio drew the interface. Work correspondence was conducted in Slack After the design stage, the layouts were transferred for programming. The programming phase was internal in the studio, we only approved the live interface.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their made the interface of the site and the system part very fast for loading on the Internet, because this was our main requirement because the site is large and there are a lot of goods

We communicated with the managers leading the project quickly, they answered competently. There was a lot of communication since the site is large

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most of all we liked the style and design of the site — very unique and competently designed. We've seen the studio's work before and that's why we chose to them.

The main thing for us was to develop the design and software part together in one studio and the team coped with this perfectly.
