I work for dmg events in the energy division. I’m a marketing specialist.
What challenge were you trying to address with Konstruct Digital?
We don’t have the inhouse knowledge for digital campaigns, PPC campaigns, and SEO. We needed to bring our digital presence up a notch, so we were looking for a local company that we could meet with to reach our goals.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we were just looking for Google Ads and support with PPC campaigns. However, Konstruct Digital became an extension of our team. This ended up being really great for us because they also provide SEO consulting and support, and helped us through the rebranding processes.
Then they supported our PPC campaigns, Google Ads, display ads, and native ad. In conjunction with that, they wrote content for each ad.
They also tracked each campaign’s success through analytics, managing the ads to optimize them.

We met with three of them. We worked closely with Valerie and Amanda.
How did you come to work with Konstruct Digital?
We are a global business with offices in London and Dubai, but working with vendors there can be difficult because we’re in Calgary and the time zone differences are substantial. We were searching for a local agency. They stood out because they’re a boutique agency and were able to be an extension of our team.
Once we set up the initial meeting, our personalities meshed well. We were able to talk about what we were looking for and they were able to provide solutions to those issues.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started at the end of September 2019 and put our campaign on pause in March 2020 due to COVID-19. However, we’re working on a contract for 2020–2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Website traffic was a big indicator and we saw a big increase due to our PPC campaigns. Specific to our industry, we saw an increase in leads for an exhibition we were hosting. There was also a boost in attendee registration and admission submissions. Compared to last year, we saw success in increasing our digital presence.
How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job. Our marketing team is small but mighty; they were on top of deadlines and talked through relevant news and projects in our industry. We appreciated that they were on top of everything and thought ahead. We never had to chase them for anything. Rather, they followed up with us when needed. That helped us meet the deadlines we set at the beginning of the project. But also, it helped nurture that relationship between our two companies.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They really know what they’re doing. I know some companies talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Konstruct Digital, on the other hand, delivered. I worked closely with the digital specialist and she was obviously very competent at her job, writing content, finding things that are relevant, and linking together two ideas together we haven’t thought of. She thought outside of the box and it really helped our digital campaign.

I don’t think so.

Have an open conversation at the beginning of the project. But also, I would encourage you to include Konstruct Digital as an extension of your team. With more information, the more beneficial the engagement will be. They will reciprocate your efforts.

When I started with Konstruct, I asked them to improve the SEO on my website. Konstruct continues to manage SEO and paid Google Ads campaigns.
After exclusively managing SEO initiatives, their team recommended that rebuild my website to further improve my rankings. They then revamped my entire website. Since starting to work with Konstruct, I’ve experienced 300% growth in organic traffic and 140% improvement in conversion rates. I noticed growth in traffic and rankings prior to the new website’s launch. Following its launch, I saw even greater improvements. Their team created a beautiful website.
How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team’s excellent. They quickly complete tasks and clearly state timelines. In terms of online billing, it’s easy. They send an invoice that I pay online.

They’re a smaller team that’s local to my area, and I personally appreciate those qualities. I feel just as valued and prioritized as much as a company with a huge budget by Konstruct. They’re enthusiastic and passionate about their work.

Honestly, at this point, nothing comes to mind. They’re growing, and I hope that they maintain their small business feel.

Talk to them about your needs and budget. Konstruct’s open to providing suggestions and feedback. If you don’t want to move in those directions, they’re more than happy to meet you where you are. For example, their team was willing to exclusively continue their SEO initiatives. However, they provided a good rationale for why it would be worthwhile to revamp my website.

I’m the president and founder of EverLine Coatings and Services. We’re a nationwide parking lot line painting and asphalt maintenance company.

We brought on Konstruct when we started our franchise system. We needed a proper digital presence. We tried to build one ourselves but weren’t skilled enough to be effective.

We wanted to grow SEO and our search rankings online for both our residential properties and commercial leasing opportunities. Our website is more efficient, user friendly, and easily searchable now. We also want to manage the company's positive reputation and the CEO's reputation.

I conducted a thorough search for local SEO vendors in Calgary AB. Previously, our provider was located in Ontario and that didn't make sense to us for many reasons. It was difficult to reach my target audience. I didn't know how to utilize social media or other channels. My biggest hurdle was content creation. I met with Konstruct and talked about what I was looking for.

They create content and tell me when and where to post to reach my target audience. They set up some automatic messaging that goes out to new followers and respond to posts on my accounts when it's relevant. We started with my Facebook page and integrated with Instagram later on. They offered to do my LinkedIn account as well, but that was a little over my head at the time. We may revisit that in the future.

I am the owner and CEO of Chamco, which provides pump and air compressor solutions to Canada, the United States, and internationally.
What challenge were you trying to address with Konstruct Digital?
Our company has been around for almost 60 years, and we sometimes felt like we were our industry’s best-kept secret. The clients that we do business with are familiar and happy with the work we do, but we decided that we needed to market ourselves more. We retained Konstruct Digital on an ongoing basis, and they act as our full-time marketing team. Their responsibilities have centered on communications, awareness, branding, and CRM issues.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Konstruct Digital’s first responsibility was to add custom features to an off-the-shelf CRM system. They worked in tandem with our operations and sales teams and the original CRM supplier to implement new code so that the product met our needs. Once complete, Konstruct Digital visited each of our branch offices to hold training programs with each of our sales teams and branch managers so that they learned how to use the new CRM. Our company has sometimes been a bit resistant to technological changes, but Konstruct Digital helped to demonstrate the benefits of using the new system.
Once the CRM was in place, our attention turned to making visual upgrades to our old website. Konstruct Digital modernized and rebranded the site and made it more navigable. The changes make our website more client-friendly in that they can now find products more easily. Additionally, Konstruct Digital set up a monthly newsletter to inform all employees on company happenings and a quarterly newsletter to provide clients with news relevant for them.
From a branding standpoint, Konstruct Digital made strategic design updates to our business cards, marketing collateral, trade show materials, and service vehicles. Finally, they devised a LinkedIn campaign that featured our employees’ pictures and job descriptions, which helped to increase our followers on the platform.

At the start of this engagement, Konstruct Digital didn’t have much experience with our industry, but they have proven to be quick learners. I’ve been an engineer for 40 years, and now I sometimes think they know more than I do.
Additionally, I grew up in a bit of a different era, so the concepts of digital marketing and social media don’t come naturally to me, but they’ve been able to demonstrate the value to me and help me understand them. They’ve taken a common-sense approach to our project—not making it too technical so that I can still understand it.

No, they’ve been great to work with. I can’t say a bad thing about them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Define your requirements and put a plan together with them. Put your faith in them. They won’t let you down.
In addition to boosting web traffic, the ads increased registration for industry events. Team leads were creative and thought outside the box, bringing fresh perspectives to the project. Additionally, they were proactive and managed the project well.
