So basically, as an author, it is common to face writer’s block. I was going through it, and I needed someone to help me. I got in touch with KDP Digital Publishers. My project manager was Marvin, and alongside him, my editor was Sabrina. Both the team members coordinated and completed my book as if it were their own. The moment I communicated my idea to them, I knew that my vision was in safe hands. Kudos to Team KDP!

Book publishing is one hectic task- it takes a lot of effort, so, it is important to find a good publishing house. Most publishing houses in the USA, do not give authors the complete credit, appreciation, and profit of a book, which is why I have always been very skeptical about contacting most publishing houses. However, back in 2019, my eyes landed on KDP, and I saw that the platform provided self-publishing services, which meant that I could publish my book, own it with full rights, and also enjoy the sales and profit from the book. This aspect of KDP amazed me, and I selected the platform to be my ride-or-die for book publishing.

KDP is one of the leading book publishing platforms in the USA. The team at KDP works professionally throughout the whole project. When I started my work, initially I was given a weekly update on the progress of my work, slowly, as work started getting harder, I was given more and more access, and eventually, I was given a proper report at everyday end, on the progress. This way, I was very clear about what was coming my way, and how the team was working on my project. This also helped me make immediate changes, which did not delay any process.

As mentioned earlier, Team KDP is one of the most professional teams I have worked with. My project manager was Sameera, and she made my experience worth every moment alongside her team. From the beginning till the end, Sameera made sure to keep me in the loop and updated about the progress of my project. She also ensured the innovation and creativity of her team, in order to make my book a gem!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What fascinated me about KDP Publishers was their teamwork and unity. I noticed throughout my project, that no matter what happens, the team at KDP does not leave each other's side. They share new ideas, they create things together, they appreciate each other wholeheartedly, and the whole company lives together as a family, which makes them unbreakable. This unity of KDP is beneficial for the clients too, as it makes it easier to discover new perspectives, know more people, and understand how things can be improved or made better.

Are there any areas for improvement or something KDP Publishers could have done differently?

As per my experience, I do not think that there was anything that seemed a little unprofessional or unannounced, which will make me suggest a room for improvisation. However, I think, that more than the project manager, KDP must connect its writers with authors, to have a much clearer communication. Other than that, the platform is one of the best publishing houses in the USA!

One thing that I found extremely impressive about KDP is that the team isn’t hesitant to tell you what will look better and what will turn your book into a menace. There were times when I wanted certain things, but instead of doing it my way, the team came up with better ideas keeping the essence of my initial idea. This part amazed me the most, like how KDP Digital Publishers treated my book as their own.

I always knew that whenever I got on the track to write a series, I would need professional help, and that is exactly what happened. There were times when I was exhausted and demotivated enough to give up, and that is why is sought professional help. With KDP by my side, I was able to write and publish my series, by managing everything, professionally.

As mentioned earlier, I was very clear that no matter what, I was going to become an author of a duology, and that is what brought me to KDP. My goal was to complete my series within 2019, and this dream was turned into reality by Team KDP, especially Robert and Liam.

Yes! My project manager was Robert. She and her Team made sure to deliver both my books on time so that I had enough time to go through out. They also kept me in a loop throughout the project, which made my life so much easier.

The thing that I appreciate most about Team KDP is that they treat all of their projects as their own, personal projects, which is why they give 110% in all the projects.

I do not have any such recommendations. However, I believe that KDP can work a little towards diversity, as they must start publishing books in different languages too, such as Arabic, Hindi, German, etc.
