We were looking for an offshore technology development company that would do everything we needed without us having to create an internal team or find individuals outside North America to reduce costs. We wanted this technology partner to develop a proof of concept and an MVP and establish a relationship to cover continuous development iterations.

KanhaSoft provided us with custom software development and UX/UI design. They built the software from scratch based on some descriptions we offered to guide them on what we wanted.
We began by signing an NDA so that they could look at everything we provided. Then, the team returned with an in-depth project proposal of about 50 pages. After that, we had a kick-off sprint week, during which we met every day to define the process and how everything would look. As for the technologies, KanhaSoft used React.js, Python, and Django to create the software.

If the project hadn't succeeded, we wouldn't have engaged them any further. However, it made sense to continue working with them.

We had a few timeframes to work on the projects, but we also changed requirements and made daily changes. As for the budgets, they stuck perfectly to their quoted budgets. KanhaSoft took care of those differences, so we didn't have to worry about the budget.

The developers were like full team members and worked basically on all parts of our product.

Our product is very successful today and we have a client NPS score of 75% with around 1250 hotels/customers, with the best ratings in our industry. We have a 100% growth rate at the moment. Kanhasoft provided more than half of our development team, without them we wouldn't have been able to build and scale such a great product. They built the whole FE and most of the backend features.

Their performance and commitment were outstanding, always delivering with great consistency. All of the developers they provided were excellent developers and helped us to solve countless problems. We had countless great discussions, they brought many great ideas and suggestions to the table, and they were always there in case of emergencies, even at night time or on the weekends. Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The first full version was delivered in less than four weeks - and this with a less than ideal spec as we were still working on the product details. A larger change was implemented in mere days (due to a required process change).

Project management was mostly handled by myself. Communication through e-mail and Zoom was prompt and easy. Extremely short response times!
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I mostly liked reachability and response time. This makes remote managing a complex product in startup with quick changes much easier. Also, the experienced dev knew how to fill in the blanks in an imperfect spec on its own with minimal direction. I got new ideas and suggestions from the dev and hew knew all the technologies inside out and applied them productively (account handling, location services,...).

We had a kickoff meeting to describe our objectives we had a follow-up brainstorming meeting to under better understand the project and the UI and ux they brought on their engineers and think tanks to help us create the perfect system and to pivot as we came up with different ideas once that started they created the wire frames sent to us created the milestones and started the project. We had daily and weekly meetings as well as monthly meetings to go over metrics and wire framing as well as milestones. We used slack and Trello as well as Google drive to communicate and share files.

They built something from scratch they took an idea and they helped us formulate the plan the dream and they were extremely responsive. They were very creative and they were able to plug into multiple different apis and programs. They were also very quick and able to pivot as we changed and moved around some ideas and some modules.
Additionally, they were extremely communicative. They were available 24/7 in case we had an emergency or if we had a server issue they were always available to fix and troubleshoot any issues we have.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We really have no comment on this as they were wonderful and we would use them and continue to use them moving forward we are starting multiple different projects and we are using this team and only this team.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of BeConnected, which is a translation services company. I’ve also worked with KanhaSoft at some of my other businesses.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with KanhaSoft?
For one project, we needed help creating a translation management system. We also hired them through our matchmaking company to create a matchmaking system and an app to go with it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
For our translation management system, we started out by walking through the system we’d already been using because we wanted to create something customized that had similar functions. They designed and developed the platform using Bootstrap. The main features included the ability to create profiles for freelancers, translators, and clients; they also set up a way to create and track projects, an invoicing system, and user messaging capabilities.
With the matchmaking service, we started from scratch. I did some very basic design using the web platform Wix and then they coded everything according to my designs. The features on that platform included the ability to create user profiles and upload images, as well as user messaging. They also coded algorithms that automatically match people. In addition, they developed a mobile app for Android and iOS that’s in the process of launching.
Beyond those projects, they also fill in for us any time we don’t have the internal resources to do development work ourselves.
What is the team composition?
We have a project manager, a team of four or five developers, and one designer.
How did you come to work with KanhaSoft?
I found them years ago via an online platform for hiring freelancers. We went through an extensive search because some of the developers we’d hired in the past weren’t very good. They gave us a good spec document, communicated well, and made one of the most competitive quotes for our project.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $200,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them sometime in 2015 and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Building our own translation management platform has brought our costs down, which was one of our main goals. We’ve also been able to tailor the system to meet our specific business needs.
With the matchmaking platform, KanhaSoft has modernized it and made it more user-friendly by developing the mobile app. Since that project’s still in development, we measure their work based on how well it tests during the development process. Our team evaluates each project along the way to ensure that everything works as expected before moving on.
How did KanhaSoft perform from a project management standpoint?
We kept in touch via Skype daily and used email to follow up. If there’s a major project component underway, we’ll also have a one-hour conference call at least once a month. In addition, we use a project management tool to report any bugs we find. It’s been very easy to keep track of everything and their team communicates well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very hands-on. I’ve never worked with anyone who’s this available and solves problems so quickly. Their communication skills really stand out. You always feel like you’re in the loop.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We initially had an issue with keeping track of communication because we were using so many different platforms, but at the moment there aren’t any problems.
