OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Rademade?

We were looking to build a more modern website that was easy to navigate and more engaging to end-users. Also, it should provide all the information which we wanted to display. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've engaged with Rademade on 2 separate design and mockup projects. The first involved designing a website for an art marketplace. The second involved the front-end design of a marketing website for a hardware and software company which our organization runs. Our site was entirely custom-built, from scratch. We have our own Ruby on Rails engineers who built the website functionality, so Rademade was not involved in this area. Rademade provided 2 designers and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Rademade?

Rademade was recommended to us and we saw that their previous work was good. We interviewed the team and liked what they had to say. They had worked on Rails stacks before, making it easy for our teams to collaborate. We looked at a number of other companies but didn't consider them anymore once we received the recommendation.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Rademade 3 1/2 years ago. The project had a 4-month duration, from wireframes to end-product. We haven't had a need to engage with Rademade since that time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Since Rademade wasn't involved in A/B testing or the actual implementation of the solution, it's hard to attribute success to them. The project took a lot less than expected. We scratched certain wireframes at Rademade's recommendation and we're glad that we did it. We were able to start from scratch and achieve a much more elegant solution than what we initially had. Rademade created a more focused brand vision and a more user-friendly site than we ever had in mind.

How did Rademade perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good, allowing us to approve one-step and move to the next. We went from wireframes to mockups and then to final designs. The project was straightforward in this sense. The only tools we used were Basecamp and InVision, the platform on which Rademade presented the work.

What did you find most impressive about Rademade?

I was impressed with the pace and speed with which Rademade was able to deliver.

Are there any areas Rademade could improve?

Not that I can think of, given that Rademade had a limited scope within our project.

Dekko is intended to provide a totally secure solution for anyone seeking true privacy and confidentiality, whilst still observing the governance of both corporations and governments. Above all, it is designed to be simple to implement and to use. We know the primary benefit of Dekko is its security, but we also want it to be valued for its ease of use and potential to enhance rather than inhibit corporate operations. I’m the technical director.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rademade?

We were looking for a high-quality frontend design and implementation. We needed it to be aligned with the latest trends and tech solutions available for our product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We approached Rademade with a request for the UI design and its implementation. In addition to that, the solution had to be fully integrated with our backend system and finally go through a careful QA testing to ensure the quality of the end product.

How did you come to work with Rademade?

Word of mouth led us to them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The work has been successfully finished. We are looking for new upcoming projects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our system is used by well-known corporations in the U.S. This means we can’t share the metrics for security and privacy reasons.

They made several iterations at the design stage; each one was tested among the users. As the result, Rademade launched a really easy-to-use interface for our services, and further developed a qualitative product. During our cooperation with Rademade, the implementations of change requests and new ideas were received and put into use with minimal delays.

In addition to that, Rademade always made sure they were using the latest technologies, matching the best suitable solution for the current product. This allowed us to deliver the highest-quality product possible.

How did Rademade perform from a project management standpoint?

The project was accomplished on time due to the commitment and high professionalism of the company. Tight deadlines did not affect the quality of the product.

The team’s working approach is the Agile Scrum. Following the specified methodology, the project goes through ongoing iterations and is continually in development. After the end of each sprint, I received a completed part of the work. Daily updates were provided via communication by Skype or email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

A good level of expertise and commitment to achieve results is what makes Rademade an exceptional company to work with. The team has a flexible approach to customer requirements and a high level of client service. All the change requests are received and implemented with minimal delays. It feels like you are working with a partner rather than a vendor, as they are constantly ready to deal with the most challenging problems.

Their approach particularly stands out to me by the attention to every detail whilst designing the product, and also the thorough user experience and [user] interaction.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing really comes to my mind. The Rademade team meets deadlines and always cares about the quality and usability of the end product.
