I am the Head of Business Development at compacer, a dynamic and motivated team of specialists in the integration and automation of business-critical processes with more than 25 years of experience. We design and implement smart services and B2B solutions for international corporations and medium-sized companies in the fields of EDI, e-Invoicing, Retrofit and Predictive Maintenance.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ingsoftware, and what were your goals?
We developed a finance management product that enables organizations to keep track of their finances but don’t want to deal with tedious bookkeeping, piles of paperwork, and shoe boxes full of receipts. It is a digital all-in-one solution with automatic invoice recognition and payment, bank reconciliation, preparatory accounting as well as the possibility to integrate various IT systems and office software, market places, shop systems and other B2B providers.
After the web application has proved its usefulness with users, we decided to develop mobile apps (both for Android and iOS devices), to make all the features available to users when they are on the move.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
In 2020 we hired Ingsoftware for a relatively small project and were blown away by their expertise and quick turnaround. This is why when we needed a team for mobile app development we didn’t hesitate to contact them again.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Ingsoftware is tasked with developing both Android and iOS mobile applications for our product. The whole project is split into four milestones that need to be finished during Q4 2022. Each milestone adds new functionalities into the mobile apps. For Android the development is done using Kotlin, while the iOS app is developed in Swift. Besides development, Ingsoftware’s team is working on UI/UX design adjustments when needed.

The team working on the project consists of 3 iOS developers, 3 Android developers, 1 UI/UX designer, and 1 Project Manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
From the start of the cooperation, their team’s expertise was clearly visible. They very quickly understood the project’s scope and started delivering set tasks. This resulted in launching the first version of the mobile apps on time. This trend continued and is still visible while we are all working together towards finalizing the milestone 2 implementation. They are not only executing everything on time, but are also proactively giving suggestions for how different things could be done in the best possible way.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We have daily meetings about the tasks at hand, as well as regular meetings of all project managers to synchronize different teams that are a part of the product development. Tasks are tracked using Jira. Their project manager is a proactive communicator and clearly holds everything under control, which is continually demonstrated by delivering all tasks faster than the set timeline.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was blown away by their speed. They are very efficient and expedient and are consistently ahead of the set roadmap.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
During early days of the cooperation we worked together to improve how the task and reporting is done. We quickly optimized the process and are happy with how things have been going on.

Tight Integration With Client’s Teams & Processes
We started working with PALFINGER in February 2020 as an extension of their in-house software development team, to facilitate faster creation of internal and customer-facing apps.
For our first project, we worked on two applications: one has digitized equipment handover to clients, so it is done in a more efficient way, and the second one ensures that crane servicing is conducted according to the established processes.
For the second project, we did a challenging rewrite of an existing app that was developed using Flash - due to this technology being phased out by the end of 2020. The new version of the app to store and search for equipment mounting documentation was developed using .NET, Angular & Azure.
The partnership is ongoing, and our dedicated team is growing to support the client with upcoming development projects.
SaaS Platform for Energy Resources Planning
We started working on their custom SaaS web application for optimized local energy resources planning in January 2020.
Within two weeks, we finished the discovery phase and then moved on to six 2-week development sprints to create the MVP.
Although the scope was expanded beyond developing the SaaS web app to include creating the frontend UI/UX design and relied on using the concurrently developed REST API to integrate Sympheny’s ehub tool, we finished everything on time, and our client successfully got additional funding to continue developing the platform.

Custom Integration of AI-based E-Commerce Search P
Findologic has been developing its advanced search & navigation solutions for e-commerce since 2008. We have been working with them since April 2016.
First, we helped them finish the development of a lightning-fast e-commerce search module, and ever since then, our team has worked on dozens of Findologic platform integrations into end-customers e-commerce websites.
Depending on e-commerce client needs, integration projects include advanced search and navigation modules, assisted and smart suggest features, as well as personalized UI features.
Crossplatform Web & Mobile App Development
FamiliPay is a comprehensive platform aimed at enabling divorced and separated families to track and pay child-related expenses, communicate easily and without conflict, and organize children-related activities.
In this project, we are the sole technological partner in charge of elements that include UI & UX design, developing the web application, payment facilitation, Android & iOS mobile applications, as well as the project’s website.
The development started in early 2018, an MVP was created within a year, and the first version was launched in 2020.
Web & Mobile Apps for Managing Fitness Sessions
We helped develop the Activio Fitness System that utilizes wireless communication between the most common chest belts on the market and other Bluetooth wearables with the user’s smart device to report on the level of physical intensity during group training sessions. The system consists of a desktop application created using WPF technology, mobile applications for Android and iOS developed using Xamarin, and the Activio administrative desktop. We also created a new Activio REST API to enable efficient communication between all parts of the system.
Web & Mobile Apps with Sports Tracker Integration
We have been working with Beyond Pulse since 2017, and during that time we created two sets of web and mobile applications for soccer coaches and players, that integrate with their chest belts.
First, we finalized their existing web application for coaches and then developed both iOS and Android applications with the same features.
Then we create a similar set of web and mobile apps that enable soccer players to track their own data, especially during solo training sessions.
The cooperation is still ongoing, with our team of 10+ people working on the app maintenance and improvements.

We hired them to upgrade our legacy software, which had serious problems due to poor and inconsistent data entry, bad reporting, bugs, etc. It needed to be upgraded with better software structure and clean code.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to develop a software that would reliably reproduce the functionalities of the older system. We wanted a stable system that would be easy to maintain. In addition, we had a very short timeline.
How did you select this vendor?
They were recommended by our previous vendor. There were other possible vendors, but most of them were disqualified due to inexperience or the estimated total cost. Since the project was such a high priority, it was essential to choose a results-driven partner who could also provide reliable support.

INGSOFTWARE designed, developed, configured, and launched a new platform for distribution and sales. The solution manages everything: employees, products, prices, discounts, orders, reporting, invoicing, retail, etc.

We worked with one project manager (PM) and six developers.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
They quickly stabilized the platform, with most of the bugs and problems resolved within the first few months. A lot of the improvements were suggested by the development team during key sprints. Now, our software is more optimized and automated. It has less errors, provides better reports, and helps us in everyday business. Given how well they performed, we extended our engagement with INGSOFTWARE.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Compared with our previous vendor, their project management was very impressive. There were no delays and all of our deadlines were met. In addition to regular emails, we communicated via Skype and used Jira. They were responsive and highly professional. They also communicated well with our previous PM, which was a big plus.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of a technology company that brings performance metrics to youth soccer coaches in the U.S. and abroad.
What challenge were you trying to address with INGSOFTWARE?
We used ING for two projects. We first worked with them to produce an iOS mobile application that communicates with the Beyond Pulse smart belt to capture performance metrics from players. We're currently working on a second project to create a database and improve the coach dashboard.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The hardware is a belt with a sensor module worn on the players' chest just below their breastbone. The module has both a heart rate sensor and an accelerometer to capture data while the player goes through a practice session. At the end of the session, the app sucks up the data from multiple players into a local storage location on the iPhone. We feed that data into a database in the cloud. An API interprets that data and delivers it to the coach dashboard so that it’s represented in a useful way.
What is the team composition?
We have little insight into the team behind the project manager, but I believe there are three developers.
How did you come to work with INGSOFTWARE?
They were recommended to us by the provider of the smart belt hardware.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $50,000–$60,000 so far but the whole project will likely be north of $200,000 dollars.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in August of 2017. It's an ongoing relationship; in fact, it's an increasing relationship.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm not technical enough to tell you what underlying technology they used, but I know the challenge in dealing with the smart belt was pretty significant. They’ve managed to get the performance metrics to a point where we're happy with the product as are the end users.
How did INGSOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?
The biggest strength in working with ING is our project manager, who is one of the one of the best I've ever dealt with. Originally we used just email and Skype to communicate with them. We’ve since begun communicating via Slack and that's working particularly well.
