Gunwant Steel Corporation is one of the leading Distribution Shop for all construction related Steel and Iron requirements. I along with my brother have established this firm in Nasik, India. We also have a branch in London, UK.

We worked with Graffersid for building a tool which can help in tracking our clients requirement and giving them a management software for organizing the need of steel in the lifecycle of construction of buildings. Construction is a fairly unorganized segment where there is a huge resistance to change or adopt anything new, hence tracking of items and requirement is a huge challenge. Loss and theft is also a major challenge.

What were your goals for this project?

For the first phase our aim was to build a software which is fairly easy to use for creating an project, placing an order, and generating a reports on Amount spent, Losses and Cost of project. Hence we are automating and enabling tracking of cost project for the construction industry. However, the final goal of the application will be to completely automate the construction industry and have a market place model.

I contacted many companies from India and Ukraine based on the suggestions from friends and family. Graffersid was refereed to me by one of my local friend who has worked with them previously. I saw Graffersid's , Behance and Insta profile and was fairly impressed with their ideas and work. When I got the quotes from all the companies, the quality of requirement gathered and the indepth understanding of the domain demonstrated by Graffersid, is what really stood out for us.

Graffersid first provided us with a 6 hour free demo, where they designed a demo dashboard to showcase their skills. The design was beautiful and covered most of the features we required for our application. The portal has 3 users Customer, Admin, and Vendor (for now only us).

Customer can create Project (Construction sites) and divide the project is stages. CUstomer can place orders for materials, these orders will list on our Vendor dashboard. Which we can fulfill offline and update the status. Admin is majorly for tracking. On Customer Dashboard, they can see the report for the amount of material purchased, consumed, Difference, Cost spend on each stage, and Order Graph.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We are giving this software for free to our customer as this is invite only and completely Admin Controlled. There has been an increase in the number of clients. We have received a huge Word of Mouth references. Our brand awarness shows an impressive growth which is a significant benefit in B2B deals.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

London is 3.5 hours behind India hence there is an overlap of 6 hours due to which communication and cordination was easy. They use a Project Management tool called Freedcamp, and their team is accessible on Skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their confidence in themselves and technical expertise impressed us. Giving a Free 6 hour demo was very impressive. Understanding of domain: They did their homework and moved aggressively towards the problem statement. Technical Expertise: The product they delivered were seamless and performed just as expected.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We majorly work with bug brands and these brands appreciated the efforts we had put in for automation. It also became easy to make new contract with other brands. The impact is huge as we expect it to be. We were able to cut our human resource cost by half. Daily calls frequency reduced by half. Customer trust and transparency increased drastically. We were able to establish ourselves as the change makers and advance.

Projects were managed on a tool called Freedcamp. All the tasks and processes were clearly laid down with a deadline for each step. It was assigned to the responsible team member which made the tracking and ownership blatant. Since the complete team was present on one open platform it was easy to reach out and communicate without any middle-man.

I was impressed with the designs and the speed with which they completed the project. They were able to deliver it to us before time. After delivery we had many doubts and their support team is very friendly and easy to get in touch with.

The timeline for this specific project was extremely thin, with an application of this magnitude understanding the complete flow and delivering the project on time looked tough.

Nonetheless, communicating with Graffersid team and their friendly behavior made it easy for the teams to achieve the feast on time. Not only did we finish the project on time we also received appreciation from client for the work done.

2. Web Portal Development Since it is a Management system which is to be used majorly by the Management team of the hospital, we created decided to be web only platform atleast for the MVP. They did they complete development which included Database designing, and web development.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

It has been tremendous, our lives have been made so easy in converting the early customer since the portal is so self-explanatory. Users are loving the design and we invest only 1 hour in hospital on-boarding and training. Early engagement looks promising and the portal seems to be scaling up pretty smoothly with the rising demand.

Project Management was majorly via FreedCamp.com.(FC) We had the visibility and access to complete team who was working on our portal. All the tasks along with the deadline and assigned person was listed on the FC portal. It was simple to comment and track incase of any issue that we might notice or want to communicate with the developers. There were separate lists for Tasks, Bugs, Change Requests, UI, and Development which made the tracking convenient for us.

They really stand to their commitment and are very patient in their approach when required. It is easy to share your thoughts and brainstorm along side since there are always some valuable inputs. They are technically very strong and versatile which opens up a whole new horizon to explore new features for user engagement. They don't shy away from sharing their experience from their years of experience.
