We wanted to get the project completed to a point where its ready for production deployment.

We found Facile Technolab on one of the online sites and as we worked with them built a level of collaboration which resulted in the completion of the project.

The project involved building a inventory management system and it was a collaborative effort between multiple teams including Facile Technolab.

Multiple companies collaborated to create the system, including a project manager, testers, and developers. One developer from Facile Technolab worked on this team. The team was made up of eight people involved in the various aspects of the development, testing, training and deployment.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still in progress and will be deployed to production soon and then there will be further development and enhancements to this project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The developer we worked with was good to work with and was responsive. Being responsive and having good communication skills as well as collaborative mindset is important to the success of the project and for the team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Both qualities of development skills and communication with the developer are good.

There is always improvements to be made, but overall the collaboration is going very well.

The project is of critical importance to the success of our company.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The work was done remotely. And, put very briefly, the project has been really well executed thus far. We already knew this would be the case when Facile Technolabs was hired for the project. Throughout the storms and turbulence of the project, Facile Technolabs has been steadfast and solid as a rock, reliable and proactive in every possible way we could have imagined.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The two most valuable valuable things Facile Technolabs has brought to the table are: 1) they bring a powerful blend of technical knowledge and business experience. They understand our business model, and have been (still are) supporting it to every possible extent in their execution of the project. 2) A profound understanding of both Western and Indian culture, helping us bridge the gap between our team members in USA and Europe and our off-shore team in India. The importance of this cannot be understated, as anyone having tried to outsource development work to India will understand.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that we can think of other than the fact that their focus is exclusively Microsoft technologies. We are building our platform using Linux technology, but all in all this limitation has been dealt with quite well. It should be added that we considered Facile Technolabs to develop the platform, but we decided to hire another team - specialising in Laravel development for the actual development. But the team from Facile Technolabs has performed flawlessly in the areas in which they were hired to assist us.

I was the CEO of an organization was called Silex Lab. The company is now closed, but we provided a camera-based parking management solution.

We had a basic version of our product, but wanted help developing a SaaS version to offer to the public.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They took our product and started modifying the software to be usable in a SaaS sales model. We used .NET for the backend, as well as SQL database and AngularJS for the frontend. Our team created requirements for them, including functional specifications and wireframes. Their team handled the development from there.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Prashant (Founder & CEO), who worked as the project manager but also did some development himself. He had a team working with him on the project as well, but we communicated primarily with him.

How did you come to work with Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd?

We found them online and really liked their personality and approach to their work, so we decided to move forward with them from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The final cost was around $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

From start to finish, the project ran between June 2016–December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have a lot of direct evidence because the company has since been dissolved, but it had nothing to do with the involvement their team had. We were very happy with the work they completed for us, which completely satisfied all of our project requests.

In the end, even though we didn’t move forward to the project, we were able to sell and deploy the proof of concept to our customer, and they were happy with the results. Their contributions to the technologies we developed were very high-quality.

How did Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

All of their work was delivered within timeline and budget specifications. They provided a platform on which we could manage and track our collaboration, Prashant ensured they were constantly available to talk if we had questions or problems, and their solutions were always substantive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team’s communication skills are definitely the highlight of the collaboration. We always felt like they were taking our concerns seriously and working hard to address them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only slight issue I could think of is that it might have been helpful for them to propose improvements to the software in areas where it might have helped the overall product.

With any remote project like this, it’s important to be as specific as possible with your requirements so that your development partner knows exactly what they are trying to achieve.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project was very important for us, since this is a new client and this engagement is important for us to get new business. At the end the project was very successful and it created trust with the client for future new business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used Agile Software Development methodology for the entire duration of the project. The resources at Facile Technolab are very familiar and fully co-operated with the Agile Project management, including Daily Stand-Ups, Task and Feature Tacking using Trello, Feature Prioritization. They communicated regularly using Skype and Trello. The time difference did not create any issues.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have been working with the Facile Technolab team for over three years and I have been impressed by their integrity and passion for our project and business. There hasn't been a challenge that they haven't been able to solve and I feel there is a high level of trust.

Working with offshore teams does require a high level of collaboration and trust and this is where these guys have excelled. I think another sign is consistency of staff. I have been working with the same PM and Dev team since when I started and that collective knowledge is so important to creating an efficient development team.
