We were impressed with their honesty and eagerness to be helpful and to deliver on each sprint and ultimate product

Quality of the work was fabulous. In every ideal world one would like to receive a delivered product within an earlier timeline. This may not be a reasonable expectation on our part as we don't measure time in the time it takes to genuine code software and finalise its development.

We wanted to build a SaaS application.

We did the design, and Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd has handled the development. The app is a project-management software. We’ve given them the liberty to use the technologies they see fit, and Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd has used AWS, ASP.net, and SQL Server, among others.

What is the team composition?

We initially worked with the president for a few weeks to provide high-level information. Then, he assigned us our team; we’ve worked directly with three people, including a lead developer.

I searched for freelancers online and found them. I had proposals from six companies, including Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd. Ultimately, we chose to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend $2,000 a month. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since July 2022. So far, we’re 80%–90% done with the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We started with the designs we provided upfront. The first-year model was slower, but models three, four, and five have been much faster. We’re in great shape right now; it’s now up to us to catch up with Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd to review everything and give feedback.

We’re not yet in the market to see traffic or customer satisfaction; we’re still in the development phase.

They’re doing well overall. The project has had issues, so we’ve gone back and forth several times. However, the work comes up clean 90% of the time. Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd tries to resolve the issues, and they’re good at communicating and being on time. If we send an email, they respond promptly.

We also have access to their WhatsApp to contact them anytime. Additionally, we have meetings twice a week through Microsoft Teams.

They’re cooperative, and their resources are always available to us. If we have any issues, they just step in and resolve them.

No, they’re doing everything they can. If we had enough funding, we’d hire more staff from their company.

There were 2 people involved in the project but I only dealt with Prashant who performed most of the development and managed the Vue developer.

We were able to demonstrate a working prototype to our client which they demonstrated to their prospects with amazing feedback and praise about what we had achieved on the project. And how much time a system like this will save them (we are talking big government clients, transportation and mail houses).

Their project management style is good considering the urgent state that the project is in.

The responsiveness and communication were extremely refreshing and the depth of knowledge around .NET, Angular, C# and DNN was life-saving for us.

Could have been a little more cautious with the changes we made on the server as they had undesired repercussions that caused some websites to have problems. But they helped fix them really fast once alerted to them.

Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd had worked on other smaller tasks for the project. Prashant was the main point of contact for all work, and I found the work he and I had been tasked on together to be timely, cost effective, and very well done.

As the lead developer on the Angular front end, Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd always asked for direction on what was required for each task, documented each step in Trello, our project management software of choice, and asked for clarification before commencing work.

Each task was presented for verification by the peers on the project and then by the project owner and I. Some of the tasks were small modifications to existing forms and code, but others were complete overhauls or brand new development.

Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd was able to make most changes in a very timely, cost effective, and professional manner. I found their work to be very efficient and well done. We are planning to rolling out this latest round of development by the end of January 2022.

As mentioned above, Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd used Trello to document each task of the project. We all used Skype to communicate and keep the entire team up-to-date with any progress, questions, or concerns. Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd was always keeping the project management team apprised of any issues so they could be addressed in a very timely manner.

I never had to question where the project was or what was outstanding as Prashant was very eager to present his progress or any outstanding items he required to complete his tasks.

Their professional yet friendly manner in which we were able to communicate and work together is impressive. He was able to step outside of his assigned tasks to help me on issues I had, or to help the other developers when problems arose.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I honestly cannot think of anything Prashant and Facile Technolab Pvt Ltd. could have done differently. We occasionally had difficulty meeting due to our 12 hour time difference, but all-in-all Prashant was normally willing to meet earlier in my day or stay late for his to make the connection.

The project is still in progress and will be deployed to production soon and then there will be further development and enhancements to this project.

The developer we worked with was good to work with and was responsive. Being responsive and having good communication skills as well as collaborative mindset is important to the success of the project and for the team.

Both qualities of development skills and communication with the developer are good.

There is always improvements to be made, but overall the collaboration is going very well.

The project is of critical importance to the success of our company.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The work was done remotely. And, put very briefly, the project has been really well executed thus far. We already knew this would be the case when Facile Technolabs was hired for the project. Throughout the storms and turbulence of the project, Facile Technolabs has been steadfast and solid as a rock, reliable and proactive in every possible way we could have imagined.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The two most valuable valuable things Facile Technolabs has brought to the table are: 1) they bring a powerful blend of technical knowledge and business experience. They understand our business model, and have been (still are) supporting it to every possible extent in their execution of the project. 2) A profound understanding of both Western and Indian culture, helping us bridge the gap between our team members in USA and Europe and our off-shore team in India. The importance of this cannot be understated, as anyone having tried to outsource development work to India will understand.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that we can think of other than the fact that their focus is exclusively Microsoft technologies. We are building our platform using Linux technology, but all in all this limitation has been dealt with quite well. It should be added that we considered Facile Technolabs to develop the platform, but we decided to hire another team - specialising in Laravel development for the actual development. But the team from Facile Technolabs has performed flawlessly in the areas in which they were hired to assist us.
