What challenge were you trying to address with Dynamic Dreamz?

We’re a global company that hosts events all over the world. We wanted to build a website that was similar to those of other large ticketing agents.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They began with a questionnaire to understand exactly what my needs were and what I was looking to achieve. It asked about every aspect of what I had in mind. After that, they created several mockup images and provided some basic functionality. They then put design around it, and we tested it. It’s a WordPress site with a lot of CSS, Java, and HTML. There was a lot of back and forth throughout this process and we required several changes.

Our website identifies the user’s geolocation and shows events within 50 miles. If there’s nothing, users can rent parties. They can also do a search with keywords, groupings, and categories. The website shows a full calendar as well as a list and images, both of which are fully web-friendly and passed DTS matrix performance reviews with at least a B. On the mobile version, buttons pop up as the user scrolls, showing that purchases can be made on any screen. It’s simple, but complex at the same time.

We found them on Upwork. I looked at many different design and development companies as points of comparison and found that Dynamic Dreamz had a decent portfolio. They understood the project well, their pricing was phenomenal, and their English was excellent. I’ve recommended them to other people and they’re still my go-to person first.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re dominating the market with our SEO and we get between 15 and 30 quotes a day. Users find events and are booking them a lot further in advance, while our clients have said that they choose us because we have a nicer site than most. I definitely see the positive results of their work.

How did Dynamic Dreamz perform from a project management standpoint?

They gave me the timelines through chat and all the deadlines were met. During the development, we communicated daily or every two days. Now that it’s up and running, we do minor tweaks and communicate once a month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness is by far the best thing about them. No matter what time of the day or night, it feels like they’re based in the same place as us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could give discounts when we refer people, but other than that, there’s nothing. They’ve done a phenomenal job, and I’m always very critical.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you know what you want prior to engaging them. If you give them a good layout and have a good level of understanding, you’ll get a good product.

I have a company, and Dynamic Dreamz manages the website. We work as a team. I get inquiries to build people websites for various organizations, dentist offices, law firms, plumbing and heating companies – anybody who needs a website. We market together, they do their thing, and I do my thing here in the United States. We work together as a team, and we have built so many websites together. Their price beats anybody's competition here in town, so I pretty much can provide the exact same or better quality websites for half the price that people here do. I have not found a single thing that they can't execute. I am the commercial business development manager.

I needed a specialist that knew custom PHP, a webmaster who could take on any type of code, figure it out from another person – from a different webmaster – and add a couple of new features to huge portal sites. He did additional things for me that I was blown away by in such a short period.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Most of our sites are WordPress, which we do through the website design company. They do PHP and the portals, and I do the business development portion, and they are the ones on the back-end that build everything. Any challenge in any kind of working relationship with anybody is all about communication, so in order to facilitate good communication, you have to have somebody who can communicate with the customer, and then on the back-end somebody who is executing the job.

How did you come to work with Dynamic Dreamz?

I found them on Elance [now Upwork]. I wasn't paying too much attention to feedback at the time and how many clients they've worked with before. I always like to give anybody a chance, and I realized after two times of giving people with very little ratings or reviews chances that I was just going to go with somebody that had a lot of good feedback. Not the highest and not the lowest, but just somebody that's just above average. We opened discussions, and I told them everything I needed to do.

I am continuing the work with them every month.

The only way that you can really justify metrics is based on conversions or increase when you get calls, but that's not done through that side of that company. They have various different sides to that organization. There are the developers, there are the designers who do all of the design work, and then there is the optimization personnel.

How did Dynamic Dreamz perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform well. You have to guide them because we deal with so many different types of businesses and so many different types of niches. The client fills out a questionnaire, gives it to me, I look it over, I contact the client, go through it and, if anything doesn't make sense to me, I'll fill in the blanks, then I'll go ahead and send the questionnaire to them. They'll review it. If they have any questions, they'll ask me. I'll clarify with the client, and then that's how the work starts, based on the questionnaire.

They find solutions rather than excuses, and that's the reason why I stick with them. Those are the people that you want to work with.

No, because when I ask them to change or fix or improve something, they just do it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Initially, we were satisfied with Dynamic Dreamz's work. However, after completing the project and making our final payment, we discovered a significant glitch in the app that prevented customers from logging into their accounts. We contacted Dynamic Dreamz for support, and the team requested two days to fix the issue. However, they didn't reply to us after that. We were disappointed with Dynamic Dreamz's lack of communication and support.

We've received customer emails complaining about the app not letting them log in with their current credentials if they've created an account on our website. The app that Dynamic Dreamz built works well for new users, but existing users have a bad experience.

How did Dynamic Dreamz perform from a project management standpoint?

Dynamic Dreamz didn't respond to our messages or calls after completing the project. We contacted the company that requested the payments, which was a third-party holder, and they said they'd contact Dynamic Dreamz, but we didn't get a reply from either of them after that.

This issue is also a breach of contract because, in Dynamic Dreamz's contract, it is stated that the team would provide six months of post-launch support, servicing the app, bugs, and glitches, but Dynamic Dreamz failed to deliver.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Dynamic Dreamz needed to improve their communication and support after project completion. Furthermore, Dynamic Dreamz ignored us after we finished our payments. If the team could fix the issue, our experience with them would be excellent. However, if Dynamic Dreamz ignores us, we feel disrespected and scammed. There's nothing we can do at the moment.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Don't pay Dynamic Dreamz until everything is completed and tested, not only by the product owners but also by the users.
