BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the chief executive officer of Veepee, an e-commerce business that sells clothing, fashion, and accessories at huge discounts.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
Buying fashion online with huge discounts typically falls under impulse buying, a habit, or a business. It was very important for us to have a mobile application where we could reach our customers directly.
Our customers mainly look at our offers in the early morning and then close transactions in the evening. We wanted the capability to close transactions as quickly as possible, especially in the morning when people come into work and browse the web. We want to reduce the time between search and purchase and give them a smooth, quick method for finalizing the transaction.
We wanted a mobile app, but my programmers don’t work with iOS or Android. We needed full-service help.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
After we approached them, they offered us a three-day workshop. We discussed who we are, what we want, who our target audience is, what our customers look like, and who qualifies as a potential customer. Then we discussed how we wanted the mobile app to look. They prepared 80 or 90 wireframes, then moved on to designs.
Within a month, we had almost completed the designs for both platforms. That’s when we decided to go through with development.
We had three workshop days, one month of design preparation, and around five months of development. We completely outsource the native iOS and Android development to them. They also help us establish, build, and test our own API connection.
What is the team composition?
There are about four Android developers, four iOS developers, a graphic designer, a project manager, and a Scrum master. We adjusted the team according to the project’s needs.
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
They were recommended to me by one of our investors, who had worked with them on mobile app development with other companies. I organized the tender and invited them, along with two other companies. They were the best.
How much have you invested with them?
€250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2017 until February 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It went excellent, and the apps are launched. They were very professional and quick. We've received 1,000 downloads after a few days, but we’re not pushing it too much. Our conversion is three times higher on mobile.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
We meet at the same time every day to discuss our next steps. We communicated through video calling services like Skype. They were very professional, goals-focused, and timing-oriented. Instead of wasting time, they recommended their own solutions. If I told them to do something, they shared other ideas as well. They not only helped us design what we wanted, but they also convinced us to change our mind and choose better solutions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We received the product we wanted, and their work quality and experience are impressive. Their product is well tested, so there are no crashes. The design and UX are high-quality; the app is flawless and very stable.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have a little more empathy, which always comes with experience and age. They’re very brave and very young, so they are eager to fight, achieve goals, and complete tasks as quickly as possible. Their communication could be softer.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of California Labs. We make a product named Loop.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
We needed high-quality software development for iOS, Android, and backend server work.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided documentation and wireframes. It started simple, with them helping out with our iOS app, which was already in progress. Eventually, they did all of the iOS development. They took on all of our backend server and our Android app work too.
What is the team composition?
There’s a full-time project manager and a full-time QA person [quality assurance].
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
They reached out to us through LinkedIn.
How much have you invested with them?
$400,000–$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in summer 2016 until January 2018.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app is live. The quality’s extremely high—there’s sub-5% crash rate. When we compare this first version of our app that was put out, the crashes were all extreme edge cases.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed really well as project managers. We had a dedicated project manager and they were very available. They speak excellent English and were very responsive to what we needed. If we needed to manage the project a little differently and get our product people a little closer, they were more than willing to accommodate and make changes very quickly to ensure a great customer experience. We had nightly phone calls and also used Slack and email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team really took the project on as their own.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be okay for them to push back when they found that things would be too long or too time-consuming. They might march forward if we told them to do something and fight through it when the right answer might have been to flag that there’s an easier way to do it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communicate early and often. Ask for what you want. They’re incredibly accommodating and they want to hear feedback and to improve. If there are areas you aren’t happy with, tell them. You’ll be surprised at how flexible they can be.

Subcontracted resources from Droids On Roids assist in developing mobile apps for iOS and Android that support e-commerce sites. They are also responsible for testing and project management.
Droid On Roids follows the Scrum framework, which helps keep projects on track. A recent app they worked on continues to receive positive feedback from users and have impressive sales. While there were issues at the start, Droid On Roids solved the problem by replacing the iOS developers.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is an IT provider that mostly handles B2B e-commerce projects. Our main area is SAP Hybris development. Everything we do is based on this framework. We also do custom Java development.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids On Roids?
Our customers were asking us if we could also provide apps development. That’s why we were looking for an app development company that could work with us.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We are working with 3–6 guys from Droids on Roids. They assigned a Scrum master and 2 development teams — one for iOS and one for Android. They also provided 1 tester. We usually provide the requirements and product engineering.
We worked together on a big project that took at least 8 months of development. The main task was building the web shop itself. An important feature was category management, and the tricky part was figuring out the API for multiple carts. A user can have up to 20 different carts, with the ability to switch between carts. In case we delete something from the web shop, we had to make sure that there were no errors. It also had to sync in real time with the mobile app. The second important feature was the offline content load, which allows users to see the whole shop even if there’s no Internet connection.
How did you come to work with Droids On Roids?
Our partner knew Droids on Roids. Part of our Java development is being done in Poland, so we were considering the possibility of having another Polish company do the app development. That would improve communication between the development teams since they can discuss tricky things in Polish. That was the reason why we were searching for a partner in that area.
How much have you invested with Droids On Roids?
We paid around $200,000 for their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in March 2016. The engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Sales have increased since the new app was launched. Our customers are really happy because they achieved their goal of raising the e-commerce rate for the web shop and mobile app. This was the most measurable goal. Aside from that, they’re always measuring customer feedback about the app itself, which has mostly been positive.
How did Droids On Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
As of this year, we are really happy with their project management. We collaborate using Slack and Confluence. There were some issues during the iOS development, which was rather challenging, I’d say. Fortunately, Droids On Roids reacted well and changed the team. They also invested a lot of time and money in training the team.
What did you find most impressive about Droids On Roids?
It’s great that they’re really doing Scrum and not just telling us that they are doing Scrum.
Are there any areas Droids On Roids could improve?
As customers, you always think you could have a bit more speed, but it’s important to have an exchange about expectations. Currently, I do not see anything they could improve at the moment.

Droids on Roids assisted in Android development for a Bluetooth connected device, and iOS followed soon after. They also worked on Bluetooth protocols from the Android app to the device.
Droids on Roids’ communication was steady & reliable, and code quality was clean on both Android and iOS platforms. They stayed up-to-date on different coding languages, though slightly more flexibility in the sprint release process would have helped push updates through more quickly.

BACKGROUND
Please introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of a hearables company. We make intelligent true wireless earbuds that use Bluetooth to connect to a smartphone.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
When we started, we were a very small company and moderately relied on contractors to help with a lot of the work we needed to get done. Since we cover a wide breadth of technical issues ranging from electrical to mechanical to firmware to digital processing to mobile development, it's hard to bring in all these people at once. We needed to rely on contractors to get some of that work done. Initially, we were looking to have Droids on Roids help us with Android development for the app for our connected device, but we ended up using them for both iOS and Android.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we first approached Droids on Roids, we had used somebody else to develop a very baseline function of our iOS app. We had already laid out the frames and designed the app pages themselves and the flow of what we wanted the app to do, but we needed their [Droids on Roids] help to code the app and work on the Bluetooth protocols from the app to the device itself. So we used them to do that on Android.
What we found was that they quickly overtook the contractor that we had been using for iOS, and to a better degree, so we ended up asking them to take over the iOS development as well. They said that the code wasn't solid, so they ended up recoding the entire iOS side. They are all iPhone and Android apps native to the phone. They also helped us submit the Android app to the Google Play Store. They didn't help us with marketing or strategy.
They had anywhere from 3 to 4 people from an engineering standpoint on the project at a time. There were 2 lead developers on iOS and Android and 1 QA person behind both of them. They also had a project manager.
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
The VP of engineering of another New York hardware company recommended them to me. They were the only development agency we looked at.
How much have you invested with Droids on Roids?
Off the top of my head, it’s somewhere between $100,000–$130,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership lasted from April 2016–June 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
From a development standpoint, they were able to deliver apps that were submitted and approved for both iOS and Android. That was good, but I'd say it took a little bit longer than I would have liked.
On the iOS side, the code was very solid, and it was very easy for somebody to take over the code they had put together. On the Android side, it was also fairly clean. I would say the code, for the most part, is pretty solid, minus some of the issues we've had with connectivity on both the iOS and Android side. Whether it’s the firmware, the app, or the mobile phone, it’s difficult to tell.
Where they weren't as strong is that they're extremely structured in their sprint process, and it doesn't really lend itself to quick changes. As a startup, we're constantly readjusting and trying to be as nimble as possible. Even for something as simple as a text change, we felt like we were beholden to their one-week development cycle rather than being able to get something back from them in five minutes, which is how long it now takes us internally.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
They're very organized. I don't think we ever had any qualms with that, so I don't have issues there. Their organization is absolutely not one of their weaknesses. We didn't experience any issues with a language barrier. I think speed was one of our issues with them. We used Slack, Skype, and occasional video conferencing calls to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about Droids on Roids?
They're always trying to stay up-to-date with the different types of coding languages, and they're always incorporating that. You can get something organized out with them if you plan far enough in advance. Their pricing is definitely attractive.
It gets a little trickier for a more exotic style app development like the one we did with multiple different protocols running from a phone to a connected hardware device. You really need the app developers and the firmware teams to speak and sit down next to one another. If I had to do it all over again, I would try and hire somebody internally so that they could sit next to the person day in and day out. But given that they didn't have that, I thought that they did a pretty decent job.
Are there any areas Droids on Roids could improve?
I'd like to see them be a little less rigid in their one-week sprint process because they didn’t have the ability to change or add even very small things. I think that is something that we'd want to see that's different. To be completely honest, I wasn't always 100% involved in this process. I was in the beginning, but in the last 5 months of development, I started to pass this off to other engineers at our company.

Droids on Roids developed a photo-editing mobile app (iOS) by executing a provided design, creating all functionalities, screen layouts, and monetization features using Swift in an outsourced engagement.
The completed product met all design and capability requirements correctly, performing as expected after QA testing. Droids on Roids’ transparent project management, self-sufficient workflow, and competitive price point contributed to a viable solution.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We develop iPhone apps in many different categories. I founded the company, and I work in product design.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
We needed to develop products. Sometimes, we have more opportunities than we can handle in-house. We wanted to try a new approach by outsourcing to an external agency to develop a photo-editing app that we had in mind.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
So far, Droids on Roids has worked on the development of a photo-editing app that we designed internally. All of the functionalities, screens, and monetization was decided internally. Droids on Roids had the task of executing on the design that was provided. I shared the screens that we created depicting the UI of the app and a document with the recommended features. They started right away with an estimate of how long it would take to complete the job, and then we started. We didn’t get to the final design because, for business reasons, we decided to stop at an earlier version of the application. It was a satisfactory experience all in all. They developed the project using Swift on the iOS platform.
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
We have always been obsessed with creating high-quality products. I was looking for a development agency that executed well. I asked friends for recommendations and checked out websites. I found Droids on Roids by doing a Google search. Their website and portfolio looked impressive. I really liked the image that they were promoting of themselves. Finding an agency that didn’t charge too much was also important to us. I didn’t look for a specific country. My intention was to compare several offers based on the expected time it would take, the cost, and the level of quality that I could see from the portfolios of the companies that I approached.
How much have you invested with Droids on Roids?
We have spent €40,000 [$45,000].
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in November of 2016, and the project was completed in February of 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?
I managed the team direction. The only additional feedback that I got was from some members of the team that QA’d the application. All in all, the application worked as expected, and I think that they did a good job of matching the design and making sure that the functionality was implemented in the correct way. On the flip side, we spotted some minor bugs internally that they missed before transitioning the final product to us. There was nothing extremely evident or major; the product was definitely acceptable.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was probably the aspect that I appreciated the most. Once I handed off the project, I knew that somebody would be working on it and only contacting me for additional information that wasn’t clear from my documentation. They really balanced being independent and executing the instructions that I gave while making sure I was involved in any important decisions. I value being able to invest my time on other things. We outsource because we want to be able to look at other things.
I am not completely satisfied with the dates of the execution, however, because they didn’t really match our expectations or the estimates that were provided. This happens often because technology project estimates are quite optimistic. Fortunately, we didn’t have an important deadline, and I never expressed a particular urgency. The added time didn’t impact us negatively.
We used Confluence, which they gave me full access to. I felt it was much easier to talk directly to their project manager if I had any questions. That tool is quite intimidating if you haven’t used it before, but I definitely appreciate their desire to give their clients full visibility. I really haven’t made use of that as much, but I imagine other clients could definitely appreciate it.
What did you find most impressive about Droids on Roids?
I think that their strong point is project management. They gather requirements to reduce ambiguity and execute, involving me as little as I wanted while still keeping me involved for more decisive direction. I definitely appreciated that. I’ve had some experiences where we outsourced work, but had to provide so much guidance in order to make the work go the in the right direction that we had no net benefit.
Are there any areas Droids on Roids could improve?
This is very specific to my experience and demands and how I evaluate their work. I think they could have done a better job at implementing the original design of the application exactly as it was provided to them. They did a good job with functionality. The first version of the app I thought needed some improvement in terms of alignment between text and font size, margins, and stuff like that. Of course, part of that is probably because these elements weren’t communicated well enough by me. They didn’t seem ambitious enough in making sure that the product was picture perfect.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Droids on Roids?
Nothing comes to mind right now.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Hematoonkologia.pl is one of the largest educational web portals in Poland, addressed to hematologists. I am a full-stack web developer and have been responsible for developing the portal. I acted as project manager during our projects with Droids On Roids.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids On Roids?
We were trying to build an application for physicians, hematologists, and primary-care specialists in particular. It was meant to help them calculate various factors for the treatment of patients. The app needed to be simple and usable in any situation, from the doctor's office to the operation room. A modern look was also important to us since many healthcare applications tend to be quite ugly.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Droids On Roids was responsible for the full development of our app, from user-experience design to development.
How did you come to work with Droids On Roids?
My friend works for Droids On Roids, but I also performed some research on the market. Droids On Roids was an expensive option, but they provided good services, so we gave them a try.
How much have you invested with Droids On Roids?
The cost of Droids On Roids' work has been around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Droids On Roids in December 2016. The app launched on April 1st, 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
The app is currently available on the Android and iOS stores, but we haven't started our marketing campaign for it. We have sent information to hematologists, and are running the app in a public beta, with around 100 users. We have heard positive feedback from them, and plan to start our marketing efforts next week.
The app itself is smooth, responsive and very modern-looking. We are very satisfied with the results. Since it is our first mobile application, we don't have a point of comparison, but, subjectively, it has a much better user experience than products from the competition.
How did Droids On Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
I was impressed with their work style: I knew what was being done and how long it would take at every step. I was able to ask any question and receive an answer within a minute.
What did you find most impressive about Droids On Roids?
I was pleasantly surprised about the collaboration with Droids On Roids, and we are planning to build new features with their help.
Are there any areas Droids On Roids could improve?
No. We are quite satisfied.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Droids On Roids?
Just that they should hire Droids On Roids.

Droids on Roids executed well by finding and eliminating 99% of the bugs before product launch. The application has a high user rating for functionality.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are an R&D studio building various products for our partners. I am the product manager for the Android version of one of our apps.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
We wanted to build the most easy-to-use and enjoyable GIF-loop-generating camera application for Android.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Droids on Roids is providing app development for our company, porting the iOS version of our app, which was developed in-house. We are in charge of concept, design, and strategy. Droids on Roids scaled our team as-needed, adding up to 4 people from our initial 2.
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
We looked at the US market, but many of the developers here were expensive and didn't seem to be very excited about our proposition.
How much have you invested with Droids on Roids?
The cost of Droids on Roids' services is between $25,000 to $30,000 per month. In total, this comes to around $300,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Droids on Roids in February 2016. The launch of our 1.0 version was in September. It went well, so we're now working on bringing the Android version to feature parity with the iOS app. This is expected to take another 6 months.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Droids on Roids' execution has been very good. We have another partner for the project, who is the actual brand owner. We've been vigilant about analytics and integrating several platforms into the app, including Fabric and Crashlytics. Droids on Roids has done a great job of identifying several bugs, crashes, and outstanding issues. We're entrusting them with minor version updates. Since the app launch, we've been around 90% crash-free, bringing that number to 96%.
User feedback has also been good, as well as our app store rating. We have dictated the app's design and functionality, so I can't credit Droids on Roids completely on this.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
Droids on Roids is responsive and on top of the work. I was a bit unsure about how we would work with Droids on Roids, given that they're based in Poland, but they've done a great job of communicating. We have weekly meetings and phone calls.
Are there any areas Droids on Roids could improve?
In general, they should work on initial estimates for specific feature sets or development tracks. Droids on Roids has misquoted the amount of time required for development consistently, in some regards. Droids on Roids has let us know about any roadblocks, technologically-speaking and regarding the timeline.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Droids on Roids?
I would recommend Droids on Roids to other people, but clients should watch out for the overall timeline. Droids on Roids can do a good job of strategizing a development plan, but their estimates have been consistently behind.

Droids on Roids developed an Android platform to allow users to design and develop their own Android applications with a focus on the European market.
Droids on Roids delivered a functional application that has had very few crashes and high user ratings. They have great communication skills and have improved the end product with suggestions.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a Stockholm-based company that has developed an Android home screen replacement with fairly unique properties. It allows users to curate their own apps by analyzing their behavior, Users can also seamlessly collect a bunch of services under one UI—things like Spotify, Uber, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and so on. This lets users create unique universes.
I am a co-founder of the company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Droids on Roids?
We only had a rough idea of what we wanted to develop and needed to find a partner to help make it a reality.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Droids on Roids provided 100% Android-based development for our company. They have been quite flexible and scalable. The organization has around 35 members, allowing us to ramp the work up and down according to our needs. There was always a designated Scrum master, as well as a minimum of 2 developers. This has given me a lot of confidence in scaling our own business as well.
How did you come to work with Droids on Roids?
Over a period of 3 months, I scoured Northern and Baltic locations, including Poland and Ukraine. I came up with a shortlist of 12 companies that I felt could live up to our task. After talking to some of them, I had a very good gut feeling about Droids on Roids. They answered all the questions I had about their methodology and implementation. I was clear about needing a quick, Agile iteration process. Droids on Roids didn't have a problem with this, compared to other firms who wanted huge design documents.
How much have you invested with Droids on Roids?
The total cost of our project with Droids on Roids has been around 100,000 euros. Because Poland has a special tax deal within the EU, we are able to eliminate VAT from our costs. This provides a cheap way of hiring high-quality labor.
What is the status of this engagement?
We have been working with Droids on Roids since August 2015, with very few hiccups. We have published the 1.0 version of our app, so we've paused the development and are focusing on managing the media around the app. We will resume the work in December or at the beginning of 2017.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
To date, in less than 2 weeks of the app being live on Google Play, there have been 5,000 installs. The latest review I've come across states verbatim: "Loving it. I'm using it daily." A better metric is the number of crashes we've experienced over time. We've seen 5 crashes since publishing, out of over 200,000 sessions. This is quite remarkable. Droids on Roids' QA specialists have been fantastic, discovering loopholes which I had no idea about.
Droids on Roids has been fantastic and I couldn't recommend them more. The quality of work has been excellent, but I've also appreciated Droids on Roids' attentiveness. They're very nice people.
How did Droids on Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
I was apprehensive about their English skills, but this wasn't a problem. We're able to have daily standup meetings without issues. We work hard and we have a good time. I wish that Droids on Roids was based in Stockholm, but that isn't possible.
What did you find most impressive about Droids on Roids?
Droids on Roids' team are just fantastic people, very nice to talk to, attentive, and quick. The fact that they're using our app themselves has meant that Droids on Roids' team was able to come back to us with ideas for implementing different things. I can't recommend them enough.
Are there any areas Droids on Roids could improve?
None off the top of my head. Droids on Roids ticked all the boxes.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Droids on Roids?
I advise clients to hire Droids on Roids quickly. They tend to be quite busy.

What is your position?
I am the operations manager of the company.

We started our activity as a franchise of a Norwegian company. We needed help in adapting our app to the Spanish market.
SOLUTION
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
Droids On Roids helped in adapting our app to the local market and continued to make improvements to it based on our requirements. They also developed the web user interface and API [application program interface] for the platform, which allow us to maintain our database. They did a good job in developing these tools, which were very important to us.

They were initially providers for our parent company. We liked Droids On Roids and agreed to continue working with them.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
The price is confidential, but it was a substantial project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The first phase of development has been completed, and we're about to start the second one. We plan to keep working with Droids On Roids in the future.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
We are very satisfied with their work. They're a very motivated and customer-oriented company with a focus on transparency. This is a good thing for us because our process is complex from a development point of view. We needed to be able to assess our progress at every moment. Droids On Roids were committed to the project since day one, which reflected in the results. We've just finished the initial stage of the project and have no significant metrics yet.
How did Droids On Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
Droids is a very transparent and trustworthy company. They adapt to our needs well, understand our issues as customers, and are very committed to finding the right solution for the Spanish market. I recommend them fully.
What distinguishes Droids On Roids from other providers?
From a technical point of view, Droids on Roids have demonstrated very good skills and has done an excellent job in developing our Android app. The back-end portion was especially complex.
Is there anything Droids On Roids could have improved or done differently?
There's nothing I can think of. There was a problem in achieving the desired result during our initial development phase. Droids On Roids managed to find a great solution for us in the end.

Droids on Roids contributed to two mobile apps, both of which targeted vocal artists. The agency also provides ongoing iOS development services.
Droids on Roids developed an app that functions well and receives positive feedback from its earliest users. The agency excelled at understanding the project's needs and delivering high-quality work in a timely manner. Their pleasant, personable approach set them apart.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your organization.
It is Farnsworth Vocal Studio. Our company teaches singing to Broadway and pop singers and singers of all different types. We have four teachers in the studio, and we're expanding into classes in sight reading and possibly different instruments in the future.
What is your position?
I'm CEO, founder, and owner.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What business challenge were you trying to address with Droids On Roids?
We created an app with them. The problem with our business is that there's me and three of my associates, but we didn't have a way to reach people when we can't meet in person.
We created this vocal app that creates a customized warm-up for each particular singer depending on their age, range, vocal type, what type of music they're singing, and if they're sick or healthy.
It's also an app for fitness instructors as well and how to use their voice correctly when they're teaching a group fitness class. Our goal is to get this information out to as many people as we can.
SOLUTION
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
It was all mobile development work.
How did you come to work with Droids On Roids?
I found them doing online research.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
It was from $10,000 to $50,000
What is the status of this engagement?
We are in the final stages right now. The app is at the Apple Store waiting for final review. It should be published in the next day or two.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
We don't have any stats yet because it hasn't been released. I'm sure it's going to do well. There are people we've shown it to that love it, but we don't have formal feedback metrics.
How did Droids On Roids perform from a project management standpoint?
The Droids On Roids team was just great. They were very understanding. We are very intense New Yorkers, and they handled us beautifully. They were attentive and always present. They always did what they said they were going to do. They completed the project fast considering we added different elements to it that they didn't know about.
They quoted us fairly through the project for additional features we wanted. They didn't gouge us or make us feel like we were being taken advantage of. They were great.
What distinguishes Droids On Roids from other providers?
They have a great sense of humor. They are a Polish company so we were worried about the language barrier and they started us off with a project manager who wasn't well versed enough in the English language to be as effective as we needed her to be on a project of this scope. Without us even asking, Droids On Roids replaced her on the project with their top project manager. They took care of things for us before we had to say anything. To me that makes Droids On Roids stand out.
Is there anything Droids on Roids could have improved or done differently?
I don't think so. I was very satisfied with them. That's unusual for me.
