What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re not an online store, so we don’t track movement on the website, but we often receive compliments from clients on how our website and renderings look. Most of our clients come to us through social media platforms but when talking to us on the phone, around 70% mention how nice the site looks.
How did dops.digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We weren’t in the biggest rush, so we didn’t set a clear schedule. With design, it’s all about taste, and we were so busy that we took a long time to give them feedback. When they did receive the feedback, they incorporated it in the agreed upon time.
We communicated via email and provided our feedback via Zeplin, an online service where we can upload designs. We’re actually using it ourselves now, for our clients. I work with a single point of contact, which is my preferred method. I’ve even met him a couple of times when I’ve been in their city on business.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re incredibly creative. Any design we came up with would’ve been boring and standard in comparison. Their design implementation was seamless. When they showed us sketches and options, they knew how everything would move and interact with everything else. We knew their design would work from the beginning.
Other companies may have a creative person develop the design, but they’d have a technical person implement it who may not appreciate small details, which can cause a bumpy transition. dops.digital implements the design so it looks and reacts exactly as their drawings did.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not that I’ve noticed.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Tell them as much as possible about the design you want. The reference sites you give them don’t have to be exact copies of what you want. Let them know as much as possible about your company and vision.
