I’m the commercial manager of Arab Wings, an aviation company. We are the first VIP private jet service in the Middle East. We have sister companies throughout the UAE, Iraq, and the Cayman Islands. We're establishing two new companies in Saudi Arabia and San Marino.

We hired dops.agency partner for a rebranding project. We wanted a new brand strategy, identity, design implementation, and branding materials release.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a brainstorming session, during which we told our dops.agency partner what we wanted and how we wanted our new brand to be. We showed them our old materials and logo, and we built from there. We took it stage by stage and created a new logo, mood board, typography, and color code for our company.

We also worked on branded marketing materials, such as Instagram templates, Google Ads, gift cards, and anything included for the aircraft. They also gave us guideline documents.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started our marketing campaign in late May, and we showed our rebranding at a golf event. dops.agency partner delivered quality branding. Moreover, a lot of people liked the new logo and brand, and we received good, positive feedback from our top VIP clients. We were not looking for quantity; we’re looking for quality. Overall, the team was quite creative and produced high-quality branding.

Everything was outstanding, and we liked their work. We will consider engaging them for the rest of ur brands.

dops.agency partner was good with deadlines; they delivered everything on time. We did meetings, gave our feedback, and they made adjustments. Furthermore, we communicated via Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with dops.agency partner's creativity. They thought outside the box and were concerned with the small details. Besides, when we didn’t like something, they came back with more than one idea and gave us 5–6 options. Their communication skills and follow-up were great. We needed help with UI/UX design for a mobile application for one of our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The project was a mobile application for restaurant reviews by professional critics. Our client was launching something similar to Michelin stars for high-end restaurants in Saudi Arabia. Initially, we built the project requirements for this end client. We also had the primary wireframes because we did an analysis during the requirement gathering.

We provided the wireframes and most of the screens to dops.agency partner, and they worked closely with us. First, the team worked on the branding and logo. After we approved that, our client approved the guidelines. 

dops.agency partner implemented the brand and added more screens. Ultimately, they gave us two options: one for the light mode and one for the dark mode. We used Figma for wireframes.

We had an account manager and two designers: a UI/UX specialist and one for the logo and branding.

We needed a high-end design for this client, and one of our partners recommended dops.agency partner. We contacted them and had an initial Skype meeting to discuss the project.

We began the project in October 2023, and they finished the design in 2–3 weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app hasn’t been launched yet, but the end client feedback was really positive. Our client was a big entity in Saudi Arabia, so they were very picky. They wanted something high-end with a Middle Eastern design, which wasn’t easy to achieve.

How did dops.agency partner perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a tight deadline, so dops.agency partner had to change their workflow. Instead of having an iterative process, we had meetings for 2–3 hours to give them live feedback on the design. They shared the screen using Google Meet, and we gave them feedback regarding every point. 

We mainly communicated through emails and WhatsApp groups. We also had meetings around three times a week to give them feedback.

Kateryna (Project Manager) was outstanding.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility to accommodate our tight deadline was impressive. Moreover, they understood our cultural differences. Working with Middle Eastern companies is different than working with Western companies. They had to achieve a flavor of Arabic design with a modern touch, which was challenging. dops.agency partner picked the colors and fonts to achieve the end client’s goal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was a short-term project, so we had no points to improve. We can find something when we work on an extended project; we plan to do a bigger project with them for another client in Saudi Arabia.

Daily communication is key for the success of your projects. We maintained tight communication with dops.agency partner and gave them feedback. They had to understand our requirements, and the client had to test the brand logo, color scheme, and font to see if they fit.

We decided we needed a new website to showcase our products. We wanted a really good one that was special and unlike other websites. We previously had another website, but that one had a different brand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

dops.digital has created our website from scratch; it showcases our two best products. They’ve handled everything themselves. The team has designed the UX/UI, done 3D modeling and motion work, and created animated images; the pictures on the site move. The website has two languages: Ukrainian and English.

The website is done, but dops.digital is still providing site maintenance support. They’ve also made changes when we’ve needed them. When our products changed from 100 grams to 80 grams, and our small products changed from 50 grams to 40 grams, they made all the changes on the site.

I founded the company in 2021 and needed assistance to develop our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

dops.digital has completely designed and developed our company’s website. dops.digital is familiar with all kinds of design tools. We initially had a discussion with dops.digital about a couple of solutions for the website, and they suggested using more animation.

From there, dops.digital has designed the complete site’s UI using Adobe XD. dops.digital has created the site’s wireframe and shared it with us for approval. After we approved the wireframe, dops.digital has developed the site. 

Our site is an e-commerce site where users can purchase our products. dops.digital has developed the site from scratch using Strapi and Shopify. dops.digital has developed the checkout page using Spotify since we asked them to be able to manage our inventory. For the rest of the site, dops.digital has used Strapi. 

We also asked dops.digital for a custom design since we had noticed most of the e-commerce sites built on Shopify looked similar, and we didn’t want to use a pre-made template. I work with another agency that produces our photos and videos and provide dops.digital with these materials.

I work with 3–4 teammates from dops.digital. Initially, I was only in contact with dops.digital’s CEO and he then contacted me with a project manager.

I found dops.digital on Clutch. I’m based in the US and contacted several national and international companies. The agencies from the US that I talked to were expensive. I then looked at dops.digital’s portfolio and liked it. dops.digital’s prices were competitive, and most of the other agencies I talked with only used Shopify for development.

I’ve spent around $20,000 with dops.digital so far.

Although we haven’t fully launched the site developed by dops.digital, a different marketing agency has conducted Google Analytics reports and said dops.digital has created an amazing site. Our site’s performance has been excellent so far. 

How did dops.digital perform from a project management standpoint?

dops.digital takes the time to work with me and cares about my project. I’ve requested many changes to the site, and dops.digital always helps. We’ve had delays on some deliverables due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, which is totally understandable. I really appreciate that dops.digital continues to work on my project during the Russian Invasion. 

I really like working with dops.digital because it’s easy to speak with any teammate. We mainly use Slack and email to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with dops.digital’s work quality and competitive prices, which are lower than most companies from the US. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing dops.digital could improve on is having English-speaking copywriters. I had to contact a freelance copywriter to create the site’s written content.

Customers usually try to find a service provider located within the same country, although it can be expensive. I recommend reaching out to an agency from another country because you can get good work quality, I think getting in touch with dops.digital is well worth it.

I'm a project manager at an IT company

For what projects/services did your company hire dops.digital, and what were your goals?

First I'll need to give some background information. We've done an IT consult for our client. Also, the client wanted to have some rebranding and restructuring of their company. One of the big findings in the consult was that their IT system and webshop was much outdated.

Therefore we have been building a new backend and dashboard to give the client additional insights. Since our experience with frontend is limited, we've been looking for a partner to work with. Here dops.digital came in. They have been creating the design and frontend.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Since all of the abovementioned was on a really tight budget we needed to find people outside of The Netherlands. We selected 3 different companies to talk with and found that dops.digital was the most realistic in their intake. Besides this their portfolio looks great and we got to trust them in a short amount of time.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss the goals. Since the start of the project was quite hectic (which mostly lies with the clients responsibility), much has been going on at the same time. There has been an extensive list of functionalities which could be implemented without having a design ready. At the same time dops.digital has been working on the wireframes and after that the design.

Since we were working with two teams we did our standup. Most of the time their developers and project manager were there. We needed to get a little adjusted to each other, as is always the case, but after it was all OK. They are very kind and patient people who are willing to do their outermost best and finish before the deadline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They really know what they are talking about. They know who to put on what part of the project, and those chosen developers do indeed have a lot of knowledge on their specific subjects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Since we have 2 teams working on the same project, we would've liked to have a bit closer contact amongst the developers. No big deal, but not all developers were attending the standup, or just once or twice in a sprint.

Additionally, they proposed new brand guidelines and provided us with new fonts, logos, and color schemes. They also designed social media headers and presentation templates based on the new brand guidelines. 

We’ve decided to maintain the relationship with dops.digital to ensure we’re using our brand guidelines as intended in the future.

We’ve worked with dops.digital since April 2022, and the partnership is ongoing.

We don’t have metrics to share, but our team has been happy with the overall branding. When we reached out to dops.digital, we didn’t have a clear vision for the end result. Since then, they’ve diligently worked alongside us to develop a compelling brand image that encompasses what we asked for and more. They’ve paved the way for us to communicate with our target audience effectively.
