This platform transforms user-provided inputs, such as team name, colors, age, gender, and sport, into structured prompts for a generative AI model. The resulting images are evaluated by an AI-based scoring system to ensure they meet predefined quality and content criteria.

Once approved, the images undergo a multi-step processing pipeline and are integrated into dynamic layouts that incorporate various design elements, including fonts, color schemes, and stylistic treatments. Each of these elements is tagged to ensure logical and visually appealing pairings with the generated images, producing cohesive compositions tailored to the user's profile.

The entire system is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Shopify API, enabling each personalized design to be applied to a range of physical, print-on-demand products, such as banners and apparel, which can then be easily purchased through our online storefront.

This experience provided valuable insight into better assessing complexity during project planning.

Mobile frontend: incomplete, crashes on every click, never reached a usable state or TestFlight-ready version. Progress was deliberately stalled despite repeated payment requests for “next milestones” that supposedly would fix everything.
Web frontend & admin dashboard: never delivered, no working version exists.
Communication collapsed once payments were made – we only gained access to the backend after being forced to pay an extra $2,000.
To make matters worse, they used a “Mutual Release” document supposedly for a backend refund, which took over 13 days to process (2 weeks lost). It was signed without our CEO’s consent by a team member with no legal authority to terminate the contract – something never agreed internally.

This project has caused over €20,000 in losses (internal audits, legal costs, investor withdrawals) and completely destroyed our launch timeline.

We are disappointed to see this misleading review, especially given the facts:
1. Contradictory Statements by Reviewer
The reviewer, Ethan Hompert, signed a Mutual Release Agreement as “Directeur Général” of Formly, settling all obligations. Yet here he claims he had “no authority” to sign it. This is a clear contradiction and misrepresentation of his own role.
2. Good Faith Efforts by Digital Aptech
Despite meeting agreed deliverables and addressing all audit feedback, Formly later demanded 2–3 months of additional design changes for free—outside the signed scope. When we declined extortionate demands, hostility began. Still, in good faith, we even refunded €2,000+ voluntarily to maintain goodwill.
3. Extortionist Approach
The review omits that Formly used threats of reputational harm (“negative reviews unless demands are met”) as leverage. This is documented in writing. Such conduct is not a fair reflection of business dealings, but an attempt at coercion.
4. Track Record of Digital Aptech
We have delivered successful projects for Fortune 1000 clients worldwide and continue to maintain long-term client partnerships. This isolated, malicious review does not reflect the professionalism or quality that global clients trust us for.
We caution fellow vendors to be wary of clients who attempt to rewrite contracts after signing and resort to reputational threats when refused. Our commitment remains to transparency, fairness, and high-quality delivery — but not at the cost of enabling bad faith practices.
