BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I´m the leader in charge of Foodsetsgo, an App for food delivery service. We provide solutions for all kinds of food deliveries in local. We’re like a lot of food delivery platforms out there, but we have more of a B2B slant.

We partnered with Dev Technosys to develop our food delivery application for customer, restaurant, and delivery partners.

Describe the project in detail.
At the Start of the project, I sent Dev Technosys's Team generic descriptions of what I wanted and they helped us come up with amazing wireframes and other details like business proposal, SRS, Test Cases etc. Initially, it started out as an MVP. They assigned a project lead, a developer, and a tester.

Dev Tech partnered with an IT company to design and build a custom software solution for the escrow process. The WordPress system services buyers, sellers, and brokers, as well as the admin side.
Though the site hasn’t formally launched yet, internal stakeholders are pleased with Dev Tech’s deliverables. The team was cost-effective, communicative, and reliable, making them excellent partners. Their thoughtfulness and forward-thinking contributed to a successful project.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Zoom Escrow.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Technosys?
Our company and website are new, and we’re trying to create an escrow process for customers. We had everything on paper, but we needed someone to execute on it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Dev Tech created a backend solution for us that allows our customers to easily escrow funds and transfer assets whenever they purchase a business. We wanted a system that would seamlessly tie all stakeholders — the buyer, seller, and broker — during each transaction. They created a simple, five-step process that would allow that to happen.
They developed the front-facing portion of the website to be sleek-looking, one-page, and to convey trust and authority. The team worked to make the site fast and visually appealing. They built the site on WordPress.
We also had them work on the admin side. We’re able to update the website in the future if we want to. Dev Tech also worked on debugging and QA.
What is the team composition?
We were in contact with two people, a senior developer and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Dev Technosys?
I was referred to them by a friend. We’d interviewed several companies, and we went with Dev Tech because they gave us a free scope of the project that detailed how they would approach it. Compared to other proposals we got, they were more cost-efficient and their team was very personable.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost was around $28,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March of this year, and we finished in September.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still in the soft launch phase, so we’ve only had a few customers so far, but we’re pleased with their work. They always communicated within 24 hours on any type of challenges we were facing.
How did Dev Technosys perform from a project management standpoint?
Dev Tech met deadlines consistently.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were able to take our vision and create a solution. We knew what we wanted, but it was difficult to conceptualize how it would look. They were great at asking follow-up questions to understand what we wanted. Dev Tech took interest in what we were trying to achieve and executed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come with a vision and an idea of what you want to achieve. Step back and let the developers from Dev Tech create your vision for you.

How did Dev Technosys perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via phone calls and Skype calls, and communication’s great. We haven’t met every deadline. Sometimes it’s their fault, and sometimes it’s our fault. In general, I’m very happy with their project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Numerous new ideas came up during the process. Dev Technosys didn’t consider them change requests. Their team was generous when it came to changes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re doing a great job, so I don’t have anything to say about how they could do better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communicate clearly and have regular calls with Dev Technosys. It’s a good idea to work with them.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is called Patent Services USA. We help investors in developing their ideas, protecting them, and marketing them. I am the head of our new app development department. This new department also protects app inventors and we also provide help in developing and marketing their apps.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Technosys?
We needed expertise in our new mobile app development department. We have been receiving app inventions nowadays, and to help our attorneys map the features, we needed a developer with that specialty, as required by the USPTO.
We needed someone to go through the details and the features of the app so we could finalize and approve it. We needed both iOS and Android developers.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They would present a document with all the features, how many users, the goal, flow, and navigation of the app. Once approved, they present their timeline for the development and launch, along with their pricing. We add the patent to the package according to the legal opinion of the attorney and define what patent the app can get.
The investor gets a full package and they choose from either developing the app alone or pairing it with either a utility or design patent. Then, after they sign all the documents, we start developing the app.
This begins with creating the screen designs and then the navigation and flow of the screens. Then Dev Technosys will start adding the wireframe and the functionality of the app.
The last phase is when the investor creates their accounts from Google and Apple as developers so they can launch their apps in the app and play store.
What is the team composition?
We have a full team. We started with a sales representative, and afterward, we signed the contract to start developing the app. We had a project manager who managed the designers and the technical team. Our main communication points are the sales rep and the project manager.
How did you come to work with Dev Technosys?
We interviewed a few developers and we started by assigning different projects to different developers. It happened that we felt comfortable with their team most. They were responsive and were good communicators. We were pleased with the way they presented their work.
How much have you invested with them?
We started around January 2019 and we’re still working with them right now.
What is the status of this engagement?
Every project is different, and it costs between $35,000–$50,000 per project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The apps that they have completed so far have been good. The clients are satisfied with the outcome. They are very responsive. If there is anything that the client would like to change or fix, they are very responsive and they have very great customer service. They fix it to the liking of the customer, which has been great.
How did Dev Technosys perform from a project management standpoint?
Their workflow and communication have been good. They work at night and even work on weekends. They also proactively follow-up with us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Mainly, the quality of their work and responsiveness are most impressive. We had a hard time with other developers that took a long time to respond and deliver their work. But with their team, it has been very easy. It’s really peace of mind knowing that whatever we assign to them, we will get it back in a timely manner and it will be good quality, as well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing to really improve — everything has been awesome so far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t throw it all on the client, we do like to work as a team. We work it out with them, especially with the number of clients and applications we face. We try to pose a lot of questions to help us with the technical part mostly and then they can provide solutions for the clients.

Dev Technosys was contracted to develop a Laravel PHP website to match counselors with patients. After a difficult UX/UI design period, they failed to deliver a functional website.
The relationship ended after Dev Technosys discontinued service on the website before the payment period had expired. To improve their services, the client recommends that Dev Technosys hold fast to their contractual obligations and follow through on the agreed-upon communications processes. This review includes the vendor's response.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Respondent 1: I’m the CEO of an online counseling organization.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Technosys?
R1: Our initial thought was to build an application, but we decided to build a website first and work it out from there. Dev Technosys gave us two proposals—for an app and a website—but we decided to go with the website.
Respondent 2: Once the site was done, we would build an app using the same programming language or database.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
R1: The website was supposed to be developed in Laravel PHP.
We were on a tight budget, and they gave us a reasonable price for a website with the same functionalities as the application. We decided to build the site first, and build the app after we’d raised more money.
Customers would have counseling sessions through the website, so it required a payment gateway and communication and booking functionalities.
R2: It’s basically a platform for matching counselors and clients, aimed at the Arabic market.
What is the team dynamic?
R1: The first contact with them was the sales agent, who introduced us to the project manager that would serve as the liaison between us and the developers. We didn’t have any contact with the developers.
How did you come to work with Dev Technosys?
R2: We found them through Clutch and went to their website, where they were showcasing similar applications to the one we wanted to make. We thought that this would be an easy task for them.
How much have you invested with them?
R1: We paid $10,000–$15,000, which was more than three-quarters of the total amount.
What is the status of this engagement?
R1: We signed an initial proposal in October 2019, and a detailed proposal in December of that year. We commenced the work in January 2020, and the collaboration ended around June. The work wasn’t finished. We just lost our money without claiming anything from them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
R2: We paid them the advance after signing, and we started with the UI/UX design. As part of the contract, we needed to use Slack and some management tools, but we didn’t do that. We were just starting off, and it was also a mistake on our part that we didn’t enforce that at the start.
After the UI/UX phase, we started to feel that the design feedback we were giving was difficult for them to understand and implement. I made my own sketches and gave those to them, and there were a lot of back and forths.
We eventually got through the UI/UX part, and we thought that the programming should be more intuitive, given that they already understood the UI/UX. Unfortunately, it was not the case. We had a lot of challenges, including being invoiced for items that were supposed to have been completed but weren’t. We tried to trust them and didn’t want to push back because the project was almost halfway done.
The first beta version was supposed to be done in one month but we pushed them to do it in two weeks, and we agreed to pay whatever was necessary. They version they released wasn’t functional, but we at least managed to show it to our investors. They billed us $1,600 after a few days, and we were a bit surprised by this. I asked them for a breakdown of the cost, and we had a lot of email communication about it. They suddenly turned off the website two days later. Our investors were still deliberating, so we were worried that the funding might go away.
We started looking at our options. The app was more than half done, and the investors were on the brink of approving a $100,000 funding for us, so we paid the $1,600.
R1: It was clearly stated in the contract that we had two weeks to make the payment, after which they’d stop everything. They didn’t even give us two weeks. They just gave us 1–2 days, and they didn’t even tell us that they’d cut the website. They forced us to pay the amount even without the stated waiting period.
They put the website back up after we paid the $1,600.
R2: We contacted the project manager, who told us to speak to the accountant, and that we couldn’t settle this verbally. I asked to speak to the owner, and he told me that I couldn’t. He was really rude.
I went to their website and pretended that I was looking to start a new project, and that I wouldn’t commence the work without speaking to their owner. The salesperson put me in contact with the business owner, and I asked him a bunch of questions, including how they dealt with angry customers. He told me that they try to resolve things, and he told me that they use management tools like Zoho and Jira when I asked. I asked him if there was a minimum project value for using the tools, and he told me that we could even for a $5,000 project. I told him that this was basically a prank after I cleared up all the questions, and that I wanted to speak to him personally about the issue we were facing, namely paying for incomplete milestones. He called the tech person there and spoke to him, and they were very rude and hung up on me.
R1: They didn’t deliver any code to us.
How was project management handled?
R2: We just had the mobile number of the project manager.
They mentioned that they were outsourcing some of the work, even though they initially stated they had 300 developers.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
R2: The project manager himself was kind to some extent, but he wasn’t very professional, and he wasn’t able to deliver the project. He was humble and tried to solve things but he was overloaded.
Another positive point of this experience is that we’ve outsourced the development to a developer, who’s building everything using Flutter, as a mobile app. He’s doing exceptional work at a 30% lower cost.
In what specific areas can they improve?
R2: At the end of the day, business is based on trust. No matter what’s written in a contract, if we don’t trust the people, we can’t trust that the work will get done. We had a contract in place with Dev Technosys but they didn’t follow it.
They need to not overload their developers. We felt that their people were working on several projects. By changing this, they’ll deliver better-quality projects.
Company Responses
The vendor responded on November 11, 2020.
We're shocked by the feedback. We gave two proposals for the site and app development, and the client agreed to go with the website initially. Then, they requested to do the app as well with the same code, but those languages are different and require different efforts. Regardless, they still wanted to develop it at precisely the same price.
Because of client budget issues and the fact that we created a web app in Laravel PHP, we hit a roadblock. The client promised that he would get funded and pay us more, but it was a mistake for us to concur with that. They received $100,000 at an MVP startup competition and compensated us $1,600 as a bonus. They then asked us to do a mobile app in addition to their contract, but that wasn't possible because the cost was a bonus.
For project management, we gave all-access to their investor and hosted the website/code on the client's server. After, the client came up with new features. We told them that we'd delivered the project according to our SRS, so the new additions would cost more time and money. The client claimed that he would pay once he received more funding from investors.
We'd like to conclude that the client's comments speak less to our ability to assist and more to their project funding. We ask readers to seek the positive aspects from this and our other reviews to select us.

Dev Technosys redesigned a website for an e-commerce company, upgrading the backend and implementing new functions. Now users can create accounts and log in, which improved the customer experience.
The platform is scalable and continues to function well. Dev Technosys delivered a final product that customers are happy to use. The team followed the requirements closely, resulting in a successful partnership.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder and managing director of Shopp’n’Ship which is a little e-commerce intermediary. We started in Ghana and we enable users to be able to access goods from the UK and the US. We hope to expand to other places as well, but the key thing is that those countries cannot buy things readily without access to cards and easy ways of paying for goods and services.
The local currency is not exchangeable for goods and services, so I created a process that enables them to use their local currencies to still be able to buy things overseas.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Technosys?
When I set up the business a number of years ago, I had someone in the UK build the platform, but it had so many shortcomings and some things were not slick enough. I decided to do a major upgrade of the platform and that is when I got involved with Dev Technosys.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I engaged them to do an upgrade of my site. They redesigned the whole backend and we put in a whole range of functions. They put in a new pricing model so that we are able to price using a very slick functionality. They created a whole backend for me so that people were able to set up accounts and login to their accounts and manage their profiles.
What is the team composition?
I interacted with four or five people from their team.
How did you come to work with Dev Technosys?
I did an organic search and then read some reviews on them. I think I might have come to Clutch as well. They were pretty switched on from the beginning so I had high confidence they could do what I wanted them to do.
How much have you invested in them?
I spent $31,000. It was a very good value.
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with them from December 2018, and the project took about a year.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They built a range of functionalities which really made the customer experience superior to what we had before. We have been using the platform for over a year now and it is doing pretty well and it is holding up to scale. We have increased our scale quite significantly by about 200% for customer intake.
The web platform is still performing pretty. It is mainly the customers I hear from and they are very happy with it. Right now, they can only log in online and look at the site on a computer so I am looking at creating an app so that we can max out the services.
How did Dev Technosys perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very responsive to the work. We used Slack and Skype a lot and it worked fine.
I took quite an active role in what they did because some of their team couldn’t speak English properly so in a typical meeting, the key developer, for example, couldn’t understand English too well but he was fantastic. A couple of them came along, and I made sure that I communicated what they needed to do clearly which is key. I think that was one of the key things that made the project successful. I specified the requirements very clearly and when you tell them what you really need them to do, they will excel. It is up to the client as well to specify those requirements clearly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was very pleased with how they built the site. I haven’t had a single incident with it since they handed it over, and it has been able to hold up to the scaling up of the business quite well. I am pleased with their work and I would happily to go back to them at some point.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wish I had a bit more money to try and put an app functionality to it because they could have handled quite well.
Nothing comes to mind about where they could have done things better. I was quite pleased with the work they did.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you are clear on your requirements. At the end of the whole project, the team came back to me and said that it went really well because they really understood what they had to do for me. As long as they have a clear sense of what you want from them, with their skills, they should be able to handle what you give them quite well.
