The training went far beyond theory. It covered everything from developing the mindset of an effective fractional CMO to identifying my niche and positioning, crafting cold outreach campaigns, and even using AI prompts to streamline content creation. I learned the entire sales process — complete with scripts, agreement templates, service level outlines, and in-depth workbooks packed with tools to onboard, analyze, and strategize for clients. While the Boardroom group for high-grossing fractional CMOs is brilliant, I'd love to see a similar intensive group designed specifically for those in their first 6-12 months. During Market Exec's launch phase, I found myself needing more frequent touchpoints and deeper guidance on foundational issues like pricing confidence, handling objections, and refining service delivery.

A 'Launch Pad' or 'Accelerator Circle' for newer practitioners could provide that additional layer of support when the learning curve is steepest and every decision feels critical to long-term success. This could include more frequent check-ins, peer accountability partnerships, or even practice sessions for common scenarios.

That said, this suggestion comes from a place of wanting to help other fractional CMOs achieve what I've experienced with Market Exec. CMOx's existing structure was absolutely sufficient to build a successful practice - this would simply be an enhancement to help even more entrepreneurs transition successfully from corporate roles to thriving fractional businesses.

Casey and the team coached and supported me as I pivoted my company from a broad strokes Marketing Consultancy (offering a range of marketing services —from marketing strategy to social media community management— to any Industry) to focusing on Fractional CMO services  for a category I care most about, Women's Health.

Their robust curriculum (with step by step templates and guides for a range of SOPs), compassionate coaches and like-hearted community of Fractional CMOS combined to give me everything I needed to 3x my revenue in 6 months, without increasing the amount of time I spent in/on my business. I know this sounds too good to be true but their instruction made me much more effeicient (hello EOS) and more confident in myself and the impact I can deliver. Yes. As I said, I had one meeting with my initial advisor. That's it. From here, they expect you to just join their weekly networking events. The courses are ok, but they don't provide any real examples of a finalized marketing strategy. Their training is very simple, and I haven't really learned anything. They should provide more one-on-ones with someone who's been a CMO for years. Someone who you can work with on a weekly basis. None of this was done.
