BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an architect by trade and the owner of CollabMind.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
I started the company earlier in the year and wanted to create an app. I wasn’t knowledgeable about technology, so I knew nothing about apps.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, I provided ChopDawg.com with the outline of the app’s structure; they’ve taken it from there. The first part of the contract is the creation of a functioning prototype. ChopDawg.com has gotten all my ideas into screens and worked through the navigation.
The app’s purpose is client and project management for residential architecture and interior design. The platform is for iOS and Android.
What is the team composition?
I regularly work with a project manager and a designer. However, Joshua (CEO) and an office manager occasionally contact us.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I was looking for a local app development company and found them online. First, I reached out to 4–5 companies, and ChopDawg.com was one of the two I met with to further the conversation.
After I met with them, it was an easy decision to make. ChopDawg.com was the most user-friendly company. They were willing to take the time to explain what they were doing in a way that I could understand. Ultimately, I hired them because I felt comfortable that they would guide me through this path I knew nothing about.
How much have you invested with them?
The total for the first phase is $27,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in June 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Although we haven’t launched anything yet, ChopDawg.com has definitely met expectations. I’m waiting for the first phase to be completed, and then the tool will go out into the world for user testing and to gain some investors.
Moreover, ChopDawg.com’s work has given me the confidence to go out and speak to people with a product I’m proud of. I think it’ll help me do a better job of getting people to buy into the business.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
The budget is a fixed fee, and they haven’t asked for any additional fees. The timeline has gone a bit past their initial deadline by nearly three months. However, I’m not upset about it because I understand why. I initially hoped the project could be done faster, but ChopDawg.com is really invested in my project.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Melisa (UI/UX Designer) is fantastic. She came up with the branding. I initially showed her some images, and we talked about color schemes. She took a couple of images and turned them into something more than a copy of someone else’s product. Overall, Melisa captured my vision.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very professional. They have an excellent system for organizing and layering people.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing they’ve missed on is the timing, but I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Find out who your project manager and designer will be to ensure you have a good working relationship with them. In the initial conversations, a couple of project managers were on the call. I felt one of them understood me the best, so I asked for that person to be on my team.

Online Review
ChopDawg.com was tasked to design and develop a mobile app for a social networking company. The team was responsible for building both iOS and Android versions of the app, a website, and a landing page.
Although ChopDawg.com promised to finish the project within 6 months, they still need to deliver a fully functional mobile app. The team’s poor project management, low-quality code, unprofessional UI/UX work, and communication inconsistencies soured the relationship.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire ChopDawg.com to accomplish?

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Deliver a fully built iOS + Android mobile app (Design UI/UX, Code) Deliver a fully functioning Website as well as a landing page for the Mobile App Deliver an Administrative Panel for the backend control of the mobile app
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Extremely slow and unprofessional UI-Design delivery milestones
Poor quality/unfinished code of App
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The project management was one of many nightmares working with CD. I went through ~4 different project managers all who had no well intention of helping this project succeed. Ended up landing the (at the time) new COO of the entire company to manage the project, which of course fell through as well. 2 different UI/UX designers
The delivery timeline was CONSISTENTLY DELAYED. The quoted project of 6 months went well over a year without any promising end in sight for my fully functioning mobile app (for both apple and android)
At one point, I received a message from an engineer in INDIA claiming he was not being paid by Chop Dawg and was holding the code (that was built so far) hostage, until Chop Dawg paid it's debts. Not to mention - the CEO bragged about being a USA-based company and ensured the highest quality. I was paying $100k with this promise in mind.
What was your primary form of communication with ChopDawg.com?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Absolutely Nothing - this was by far the largest mistake I've ever made in my life so far. The largest financial and emotional regret I have, which I am still attempting to recover from.
Are there any areas for improvement or something ChopDawg.com could have done differently?

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the CEO and co-founder of Cook Up LLC. It’s a video food company that combines TikTok, Instagram, and Yelp in one app for foodies to watch videos and see recipes attached with ingredients. If they want the ingredients, we link up with delivery services to deliver the ingredients to the user’s house.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com? We hired ChopDawg.com to build our app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? ChopDawg.com has developed our app for Android and iOS devices. What is the team composition? I’ve worked with around six teammates from ChopDawg.com, including Josh (CEO), Ali (UI/UX Designer), a manager, and teammates behind the scenes who ensure everything runs smoothly. How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com? I was working with a different team that was taking too long to implement certain things. As a result, I Googled app designers for small businesses and startups and met with 6–7 companies. I was blown away by the reviews left by well-known brands for ChopDawg. From there, I had a phone call with Josh, who told me what to expect and how much the project would cost. How much have you invested with them? So far, we’ve invested around $35,000. What is the status of this engagement? We officially started working together in July 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Working with ChopDawg.com has been great. Everything has been seamless. The quality of their work is beyond my expectations, and it’s worth every penny. How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint? Their project management is great. They’ve met our budget, too. Meanwhile, we’re on track to release in February–March 2024. Whenever I need to communicate with them, I can call, text, or reach out to them via Slack. We also have weekly meetings on Zoom for about an hour. If I have any questions or things I want to add or take away from the designs, I can talk to them through Slack. Ali is great at taking my drawings and turning them into real-life wireframes. It’s amazing to see the collaboration between my brain and his designs — it’s pretty cool. If I have a question, I can contact Josh directly. He’s available any time of the day to ensure everything runs smoothly. What did you find most impressive about them? ChopDawg.com’s communication has been impressive. They can communicate with us any time of the day. When I need to talk to them, they reply in a timely manner to answer all my questions. That’s more valuable than a lot of people realize. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. Everything’s fine right now. Do you have any advice for potential customers? ChopDawg.com talks about what they’re going to do, and they back it up. They walk the walk and talk the talk.
