I have worked with three people on their team, and all have been highly professional. My first point of contact was Founder, which I really liked. I have since worked with two project managers who are both great communicators and easy to work with.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Beon was able to help scale our team as needed with quality engineers in a timely manner. We were able to launch the MVP of our platform in Q4 of 2022 and are continuing to iterate on the product.

The project management has gone great. We primarily use Jira and Slack for communication.

I’m a department manager at a software company in the financial and energy industries. We primarily develop software for oil and gas reserve companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with BEON.tech?

We needed help with staff augmentation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BEON.tech provides us with a developer specialist in data engineering who follows our internal software development practices. He mostly works on software we have already developed, making enhancements to it. Still, he has also worked on some tasks completely from scratch. As for the technology stack, most of our work has been done in TypeScript and C#, and he has done some backend API work as well.

Although BEON.tech’s resource mostly focuses on development work, he has also provided us with input and ideas for software architecture. Additionally, he has free reign to design and architect his own solutions.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with the one resource that BEON.tech provides us with. They also provide us with more resources for other areas, but I don’t interact with them. In total, we work with around five people from their team. These resources include developers and 1–2 UI/UX designers.

How did you come to work with BEON.tech?

Our VP of software had a previous relationship with BEON.tech, so he contacted them when he started working for our company.

How much have you invested with them?

I’m unsure about BEON.tech standard rates because I’m not in charge of paying invoices. I estimate that we’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with the data engineer from BEON.tech by the end of April 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. However, their other resources might have started working for us before that.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The resource that BEON.tech provide us with is very good. Thanks to him, we’ve been able to add new functionality to our API, and our clients are very excited about the enhancements we’ve done. As general feedback, the developer and the person who manages him from BEON.tech’s side have been great to work with. Moreover, the quality of their development work has been fantastic.

How did BEON.tech perform from a project management standpoint?

BEON.tech’s resource has been very responsive, and he has delivered on time. We’re very open to their suggestions as well. We communicate via Slack with the developer and via email with the BEON.tech management team. We also send the developer tasks through Jira and check his work through GitHub.

What did you find most impressive about them?

BEON.tech seems to really care about their employees. One time, I found out that our developer didn’t have an extra monitor, and he was working only with their laptop screen. Thus, I contacted his manager from BEON.tech and asked if they could provide him with a monitor, and they immediately took care of it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they could improve on. BEON.tech has been extremely professional, and their development work has been fantastic.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re an excellent company to work with — we’ll continue to work with them moving forward.

I'm the CTO of a small company in the Energy Services business. Our platform and services run consumer-facing economic and emergency responsive demand programs.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed several nearshore companies and found the combination of value, talent, and demonstrated commitment and career development with their staff as a winner over the other companies.

At this point, they have delivered mobile developers as staff augmentation for new development through first launch to ongoing maintenance. In the case where we have had a staff member leave (because they immigrated to another country), BEON did a very good job of getting us a replacement in time and making sure that that person was trained as well as possible given the time constraints.

We discussed our needs with our contact at BEON and provided them a job description; they were able to quickly provide us a list of possible staff, with pre-screening in place. We performed our typical screening interviews as we normally do, and BEON completed the transaction in either hiring or simply assigning the staff to our contract.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

This has definitely allowed us to speed up our development process with quality staff. I see it as a way to save some costs but also to engage more recruiting to acquire great personnel to achieve outcomes faster.

We have a remote workforce in various locations across the country; integrating BEON into our workflow has been seamless.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It is evident that they invest a lot in their staff. For example, they are bringing their software developers together for a training and mentoring event -- where most companies like BEON do not really engage with their staff outside of onboarding and offboarding.

I see no areas in need of improvement.

In addition, they help us write the job descriptions and prescreen — we mainly look for people with software startup experience and enthusiastic personality towards the work.

Ensure to develop a relationship with the manager they assign you because they’re very helpful in getting you through the recruiting process and the general resources management.

So far we continue to be impressed with the high quality of the developers and quick onboarding into our environment and codebase.

We're happy because we've been giving the ability to onboard these team members into our environment the way that works for us. The vendor reaches out frequently to make sure things are going well. They have been more than willing to integrate with our communication tools.

They've gone to pains to understand our culture and hiring processes well. They take feedback and are constantly incorporating it into their day to day interactions with us.

I’m the COO of Protoqual, a healthcare startup. Our software platform goes into outpatient medical offices and allows them to survey their patients and educate their staff based on the findings in those surveys to improve our patient experience.

We’ve tried a number of approaches to our software development solution. We have a very specific set of needs, but we don't have the resources to build an entire technology team in-house.

We needed to find an outsourced solution that would enable us to build the products that we needed within the budget and the time constraints that we had.

We already had a rough prototype of our software with a different developer partner. We were already testing it in offices, but there were still a lot of things we wanted to change. We hired BEON Tech Studio to build the second version of our software from scratch. They helped us do everything involved with creating the new version of the platform, including backend, database, and design work.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re currently preparing to deploy the new version of our software to medical offices, so we still don’t have any metrics or user feedback just yet. However, we can now demo the system more confidently as it performs more seamlessly and efficiently compared to our previous one.

Before working with BEON Tech Studio, we only had one large client. Now, we have two new large clients, and we’ve noticed growing interest from many prospective clients. So I’d say that the biggest measure of success has been the opportunity for us to get more clients faster than before.

How did BEON Tech Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

BEON Tech Studio has performed outstandingly well in terms of project management. They’re really great at communicating — I’d say it’s one of the biggest differences that I’ve noticed in working with them versus other third-party providers. The second we reach out about something, there's an immediate response from them. We communicate every day, and we have a very robust back and forth on our Slack channel.

Overall, they’re a very well-functioning team.  They make everything really simple, and we don't need to devote a tremendous amount of manpower for oversight and management because they handle a lot of that stuff really well.

We primarily communicate with them through Slack, and we also have regular stand-up meetings and planning sessions every week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the main reasons why we chose BEON Tech Studio was because they really devoted a lot of energy into finding the best developers for our project. I know this based on the quality of the product that they’ve produced. It’s hard to describe without a demo, but what they have built runs so much more beautifully and elegantly than our previous system. We feel like have a product built as if we're a billion-dollar company, and I feel like they deserve a lot of the credit for that because I can’t imagine that we could get the same caliber of product with another company.

Even as we grow, my preference will be to handle our development through BEON Tech Studio as opposed to even an in-house option because the quality of their developers is really extraordinary. They're great communicators and really talented builders. It's probably going to be a long time until that until we decide to hire in-house just because we've had so much success with BEON Tech Studio.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One thing where we all improve as a group is establishing more metrics for evaluating velocity. They're moving quickly, and we've been happy with their pace, but I wish we could establish a way to determine how long things might take so we could check against them after all the work is done.

I am the Website Marketing Manager for a SAS company, specializing in MarTech software.

I inherited a site, from the original agency, that was launched prior to my start with the company that greatly missed the mark not only on MVP at the time of launch, but also some basic functionality that anyone would expect a modern website to have in terms of UX, SEO, and security.

We requested BEON partner with us to start to clean up the redundant mess that was the backend code of the website, as well as make drastic improvements that better showcase our company story and technology.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for vendor partners that would be able to commit resources to our project in a timely fashion, as well as for a partner our internal team didn't feel was going to take advantage of our budget.

We required ongoing Website Development assistance from a BEON resource, full-time 40 hours per week. As the project has continued to evolve, BEON has been a fantastic partner that will not only do what is asked of them to support our team, but also bring new ideas to the table.

While onboarding to and updating our custom CMS hasn't always been the easiest project, the working relationship has been the ideal "Work Smarter, Not Harder" scenario.

Originally we brought on 1 single full-time website developer to partner with us. With the success of the project with BEON, we've recently been approved for a second full-time developer to help us speed the process up even more.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Thanks to the partnership with the BEON website developers we've been able to increase productivity to our website with an additional 140 hrs+ of work each month compared to our previous agency, as well as compared to some others we'd spoken with.

While we are still in the process of digging out of the coding errors from the previous agency, the amount of work the development team has done has exponentially increased the usability of our website CMS as well as started marching us toward better SEO performance.

We started with two meetings per week during the initial project onboarding period. Then will move down to one meeting per week after the team feels comfortable working together. We use Slack for chat, and Teams and Google Hangouts for meetings.

Outside of meetings, with everyday conversations about the project, the response time from the developers has been nearly instantaneous (no more than 15 minutes at most). They are willing to meet at a moment's notice to put out any "fires" and can be trusted as a true member of the team if and when they need to provide backup support.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have been very knowledgeable about the coding language required for the project, and do not hesitate to bring their own ideas to the table. Unlike some other agencies we've worked with previously, BEON is not an agency or vendor partner that is out to take advantage of your time or budget.

The ROI you get from the partnership far exceeded the expectations of myself and the leadership team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With how fast-paced our project can be at times, the team could have worked toward being better about honest timelines to complete certain tasks. There was a fair amount of timidness when more daunting tasks were being done.

However, they were open to feedback about managing timelines, giving project estimates, as well as providing more detailed reviews about project status.

I have worked (and continue to work) with multiple agencies, representing resources from many different geographical regions. I receive multiple inquiries (a day) from agencies offering everything from "digital transformation" to project-based work to contract recruiting (not to mention "fixing yur websight" (sic)). I liked BEON's straight-forward offering, as I was really only looking for staff augmentation in price-competitive regions (Seattle is quite expensive).

Not exactly applicable, since we hired engineers for multiple projects on a staff augmentation basis, not for a specific project. We view these engineers as first-class team members, just like directly-employed engineers, or those provided via other agencies. therefore there is now "workflow between your team and theirs". We are completely remote, and so far no two engineering team members live within a couple hundred miles/kilometers of each other, so there is no disadvantage in terms of geography or timezone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They provide highly-qualified candidates, take feedback and quickly incorporate it into their screening, and are proactive about communication in general. They have been a pleasure to work with.

Having a project manager assigned is great and useful. The link between our requirements and the developers has made it an easy partnership — everything works smoothly.

They’re great at delivering the code very quickly and having concrete deliverables in record time so we could move forward with the project at a good pace. Also, we had to make some changes on the team, and they allowed us to participate in the hiring process of a new developer, which was great.

We use a Shopify template for our website, with a subscription app provided by Bold Commerce. The subscription app does not have the capability of offering a free trial, but BEON was able to build a custom workaround to sequence the customer order sequencing in alignment with the terms of our free trial offer.

Two engineers, one in a project coordinator function, and the other performing the actual development work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

BEON delivered the required functionality in a timely manner, and were diligent in testing and validating the accuracy of the functionality. They were helpful,  responsive at all times, and exceeded the expectations. I fully expect to engage BEON in future projects.

We communicated by phone and (primarily) email. BEON communicated well, keeping me in the loop at all times in terms of progress and timing.

BEON impressed me with their commitment to and ownership of the project, as though they were partnering with me to find the best solution, versus just delivering the minimum functionality.

No. I was very pleased with my entire experience of BEON, and expect to engage them again on future projects.
