I am the founder and owner of VX global, a board game publisher.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bebop Asia?

We hired them to work on the PR and marketing of a Kickstarter campaign for our 2018 title: Simulation Theory.

What were your goals for this project?

To maximize the backers and publicity for our new title for the duration of the campaign.

How did you select this vendor?

We’d had a bad experience with our previous agency and were quite skeptical about whether a new vendor would be able to understand our domain. We were introduced to Bebop Asia through mutual friends, and we’d received other proposals from all our prospective agencies.

Bebop stood out for the remarkable amount of research they did into our niche—despite not being domain experts, they demonstrated a great understanding of our industry and its trends. They also looked out for our profitability with their own costs factored in.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

They handled all the external-facing elements of our Kickstarter campaign. That included copywriting the campaign text, putting together press releases, and doing media engagement. They also worked on our digital marketing, social media marketing, SEO, and brand identity and branding.

What was the team composition?

Bebop's team comprised of three individuals that worked with us on a regular basis: Peter (Digital PR Strategist, Bebop Asia), Daniel (Wordsmith, Bebop Asia) and Paul (Assistant Business Director, Bebop Asia).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our Kickstarter campaign was fully funded in under 24 hours, reaching an overall result of 176% funded.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used WhatsApp as our principal way of engaging with their point of contact, eventually bringing them into our company Slack as we needed information threaded. They actually improved some of our own internal processes by structuring our resources to meet their deliverables.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed by their accountability and their focus on our bottom line, not theirs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Their execution was fantastic, but some tasks took a little bit more time than anticipated, in particular, the SEO.
