I am the business development lead for Popular Chips. I'm responsible for processes to develop, implement growth ad revenue opportunities for Popular Chips

For what projects/services did your company hire Bebop Asia?

Bebop was engaged for PR work to help Popular Chips target and expose our business and our first in the world analysis of Instagram to the Asia market on major newspapers and tech publication.

What were your goals for this project?

The main objective of the project given to Bebop was not a sales promotion, but creation of an image through editorial or 'independent sources. The goals were focused on highlighting our product enhancement and increase awareness among fashion brands who use IG as their marketing mix.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected Bebop thru word of mouth and was highly recommended because of their excellent track record in their work and previous assignments completed for our associate partners for their companies.

Bebop understood the value of positive publicity and how exactly public relations work together to make a business successful. They had the core components of a publicly strategy and a publicity campaign plan with a complete media contact list. They published press releases, our marketing materials and promotional materials on major local and international newspapers particularly on tech columns.

What was the team composition?

I have worked closely with the firm's principle Peter Justin Yu and his team that comprises of experienced writers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received many queries from major brands like LVMH, Lazada, Loreal, SKII, etc. right after the press releases by Bebop Asia. It had an important impact for us when the press releases reached the right audience from the right platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team member assigned from Bebop maintains a very high level of professionalism by constantly keeping in touch via Skype, emails and slack whenever he needed to check on definitions and processes of our product and services.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with their professionalism, business ethics and relentless effort in trying to give us the best value for our investment. Most importantly, reasonable investment.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not any I can think of now. I was truly impressed and content with their work.

We hired them to work on the PR and marketing of a Kickstarter campaign for our 2018 title: Simulation Theory.

What were your goals for this project?

To maximize the backers and publicity for our new title for the duration of the campaign.

How did you select this vendor?

We’d had a bad experience with our previous agency and were quite skeptical about whether a new vendor would be able to understand our domain. We were introduced to Bebop Asia through mutual friends, and we’d received other proposals from all our prospective agencies.

Bebop stood out for the remarkable amount of research they did into our niche—despite not being domain experts, they demonstrated a great understanding of our industry and its trends. They also looked out for our profitability with their own costs factored in.

They handled all the external-facing elements of our Kickstarter campaign. That included copywriting the campaign text, putting together press releases, and doing media engagement. They also worked on our digital marketing, social media marketing, SEO, and brand identity and branding.

What was the team composition?

Bebop's team comprised of three individuals that worked with us on a regular basis: Peter (Digital PR Strategist, Bebop Asia), Daniel (Wordsmith, Bebop Asia) and Paul (Assistant Business Director, Bebop Asia).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our Kickstarter campaign was fully funded in under 24 hours, reaching an overall result of 176% funded.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used WhatsApp as our principal way of engaging with their point of contact, eventually bringing them into our company Slack as we needed information threaded. They actually improved some of our own internal processes by structuring our resources to meet their deliverables.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed by their accountability and their focus on our bottom line, not theirs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Their execution was fantastic, but some tasks took a little bit more time than anticipated, in particular, the SEO.
