I am the Managing Director of Apt Pay(Premium Merchant services ltd), a provider of card payment solutions across the UK from our HQ in the Midlands.

Avid Panda designed and built our website and then executed an SEO campaign to drive people to the website. My goal was and is to to be more visible on Google so that more prospective customers find us online.

We started with the ambition to be found locally and after that success, are now looking to expand our reach across the country. We wanted to rank well in the Midlands, get more people to the website and get more enquiries.

They were recommended to me by another agency and I initially spoke with Alex who demonstrated his knowledge of SEO well. He also spoke about UX and CRO which was very important for my new website.

The emphasis on using the website to drive sales and not just traffic made me feel like we were on the same page.

3 - 4. Alex was my main point of contact and lead on the SEO. He is the Managing Director. I was also supported by Ryan and Kennedy for website support and Lex for the SEO campaign.

We rank number one and two for most of our primary keywords with the rest in the top 5. We have just upgraded our package to start focusing on the rest of the UK and are already seeing positive movement.

Our online visibility as increased 212% since May 2020 and our domain rating has gone from 2 to 30 as reported by AHREFs. Our website is also much faster since moving from GoDaddy to Avid Panda's hosting.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The timeframes were made clear and they were honest about what was realistic to expect. Communication has been very good. I get reports every month as well as a video recording which I can watch when it suits me.

Sometimes when I call Alex directly I get his voicemail but he always calls me back promptly or I call the office for an immediate response. When I need advise on other marketing initiatives or web support they do not hesitate to help.

Project management style's very good, information feedback on workflow and what they have focussed on that month, and what tasks they will be focusing on the following month were also great. Communication has been great! Emails, phones, WhatsApp, videos. Really accessible at any time. Timelines very reasonable and never fail to deliver.

The knowledge they have and the way they are happy to work closely with our web designer impressed us. Also, it was also impressive that they shared explanatory shared with us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Very little, they have been a great company to work with. I would perhaps want them to advise us on what priorities to focus on the following month/quarter given whats worked well and in their experience.

We hired Avid Panda to assist with a re-build of our main Littlefish website in Wordpress using Divi. Avid Panda also provide ongoing SEO services for us, including keyword research, competitor analysis, content production and creation, and SEO content outreach.

The key goal for the website rebuild was to speed up the website, and make the site easier to edit and add new content to in the back end.

Avid Panda rebuilt the website in around 6 weeks, which involved copying the existing content, refreshing a number of the pages such as the resources, news and case study pages, and researching new and improved plug ins. As mentioned previously, they now provide ongoing SEO support on a regular basis.

Our main contact at Avid Panda is Alex Johnson, their 'Panda in Chief', who led the project and strategies, as well as providing technical leadership. Other members of the team we worked with include Ryan, who worked on the back end of the website, and Lex, who worked on our online presence and SEO outreach.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since going live with the new website, the loading time has increased from over 10 seconds, to less than 5 seconds on first load. We have seen a steady increase in our SERP rankings, and thus an increase in the number of inbound leads we have through the website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication and work with Avid Panda has been excellent. They are often required at the drop of a hat and they always make themselves available. They completed all the work in the time frame required.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Alex provides an incredible amount of technical knowledge and expertise, often guiding us on strategic decisions with regards to our website and content. Their excellent work rate is also very commendable.

We now have a fully functioning Web site. It's much faster and presents a much more professional outlook for the company. Feedback from current and potential clients is all really positive.

How did Avid Panda perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent, and they usually respond within about half a day. If there are ever delays, they are usually because we get busy on our side. They’re very diligent and are in constant contact. I’m very pleased with them overall.

They don’t focus on any particular industry, and actively engage clients from different backgrounds. That gives them an edge over specialist agencies, as it broadens their outlook. They can apply the rules and creativity they use for one business across the whole spectrum.

The relationship is fairly new, but I can't think of anything they should improve at the moment.

Allow them to get under the skin of your business and let them know what you hope to achieve. Let them get close to you to develop the personal edge that sets them apart. Their managing director is a people person, and that comes across in the work they do.

Given access to our library of approved media, they put together a social media strategy that maximized our reach and engagement. They didn't need our login information to post on our behalf, which gave us the confidence to proceed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our Google traffic increased by 652% over six months. We weren't tracking conversions before Avid Panda became involved, so we don't know exactly how much our leads have increased. However, they had a very positive impact.

Our social media improved significantly after the first month. Only two inquiries came from those efforts, but we're happy with that. By correlating with our increased social media activity, they also acquired untracked inquiries from existing agency connections. Their training improved our understanding of SEO and our internal content creation processes.

We had a bit of back-and-forth before finding a good rhythm. Their workflow was seamless, and they wasted no time. Our social media workflow started out good, but improved even more once after streamlined the process of sharing our visual assets.
