BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We're a general dentistry practice with four locations. I've been working with the owner on the overall operations for about 11 years.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
We wanted a simpler, mobile-friendly website.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They designed and built a new WordPress website from scratch. They created a mobile-friendly, single-page parallax site. The site links to a third-party scheduling tool and to our Facebook page.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two designers, one on the technical aspects and one on the visual.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
We found them on Google. We chose them based on their portfolio and because they were very responsive in our initial interactions. Another big factor for us was that we could have face-to-face meetings since they’re local.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May–July 2015.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The new site is a real advancement from our previous site. The reception has been really good. We’ve gotten a lot of compliments from patients on the design, layout, and functionality.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very responsive throughout the engagement. We communicated primarily over email and phone, and the designers were always looped in on all communications. They used collaborative screen-sharing tools to show us the initial proofs and to demonstrate how to do basic updates on the backend of the site. We were absolutely happy with their overall level of communication and availability.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their portfolio is what initially caught our eye. As the engagement unfolded, we were impressed by their ability to stay on top of all aspects of the project. They're true professionals and really led the engagement since we’re so inexperienced in this realm.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we didn’t have any issues.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We gave them examples of other websites we liked or interactions that we wanted to mimic. They’re able to internalize all of your thoughts and put them into action.

ArtVersion has helped a globally-minded company rebrand in order to communicate more effectively with new markets. They also aid in web development, which includes creating multiple site translations.
Thanks to ArtVersion’s patience and talent, rebranding has led to expanded market opportunities in several new countries. Their team understands the influence of culture on messaging, responds well to critical feedback, and excels at translating ideas into meaningful designs.

client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO of Elements Global Services. We operate in over 135 countries to help companies expand globally through our employer of record (EOR) services. Essentially, we help our clients handle all the paperwork and logistical challenges of relocating their employees abroad.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
We decided to rebrand in order to give ourselves a more global presence and help us reach markets beyond the United States.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We designed our new logo internally, but they gave us feedback on that and then handled the rebranding for all of our marketing and onboarding materials. They also supported us with some of our website development and helped revise the associated text.
Currently, they continue to support our ever-evolving branding needs for our internal training materials, as well as those for the capability and marketing packets we use abroad. They're also undertaking a large project that involves translating our website into 20 languages over a period of two or three weeks.
What is the team composition?
I interfaced with members of almost everyone on their team at some point during the project, but their creative and art directors were my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
We interviewed maybe 15 or 20 companies and narrowed it down to three finalists, who we subsequently brought in to discuss our brand and what we do. What impressed me about ArtVersion was that they understood the European market even though they're Chicago-based, and they were sensitive to the needs of other regions as well. Our business is HR services, so understanding multiple cultures is critical for us in order to be a truly global company. Their team really understood the importance of that.
How much have you invested with them?
In the past year, we've spent between $200,000–$250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them early in 2017 and we're still working together.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Users have said that our website looks a lot cleaner and more professional. We'd been somewhat set in our market for a couple of years, but ArtVersion helped us graduate from that level and evolve into the company we are today. Thanks to their work, we're now reaching markets in India and multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
They've been very responsive, even when I want things turned around quickly, and they're flexible about getting the work done whenever we need it. They're based in Chicago and I'm in Barcelona, but they always respond within the same day and there isn't really a lag. They tried to set me up on Slack, but since we use it internally, it was too difficult for me to manage both accounts. We ended up communicating primarily by email, which has worked out just as well.
In terms of the creative elements of the project, I'm very particular about our brand, and sometimes that means I’ll ask them to make a lot of revisions. Their art director, Petra Tomekova, did a phenomenal job of visualizing our ideas. She's very patient and very talented.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They translate your vision well, and they're also good at handling criticism. Sometimes you run into designers who are hesitant to make changes because of how much effort they've put in, even though you as the client may not like the final product. ArtVersion's team has the capability to accept that feedback and use it to make corrections or enhancements to their work. It's been a great partnership.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We don't have this problem any longer, but I think they could have devoted more time to understanding our brand at the outset of the project. I understand that there aren't many companies in the world that do what we do, so deciphering our business isn't always easy, but a bit more research or questioning might have helped us find our rhythm sooner.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Understand who your main points of contact are. Be very direct, because they respond well to that, and don't be afraid to disagree if the product is not what you want it to be. They're ultimately trying to make your vision come true, so be honest, and they'll work until it's perfect for you.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your organization.
I do consulting for institutional clients in the algorithmic trading and analytics space for exchange-traded derivatives.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What business challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
We were looking to strengthen our brand identity. We needed ArtVersion to create a brand and logo and website and other marketing materials I needed.
SOLUTION
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
With the website, ArtVersion was responsible for both the look and feel of it as well as the development. The website contains a description of the company, the services we provide, and a contact page. It’s not a commerce site.
I would create the text and ArtVersion would assist with the best way to say it, lay it out, and with what makes sense from a design perspective as opposed to just reading text, and how that should be presented on the page so that it sticks out or comes together both in a mobile and desktop format.
ArtVersion also developed business cards, printed materials like folders, as well as worked with the name and branding and look of the logo for the website. They also helped me to get the trademark for it. Goran [Owner, ArtVersion] was instrumental in advising me and helping me to secure the domain for my business.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
I was looking around in my area for small companies that offered these services. It might have been geographic, the size, and finding them randomly, and starting to look further and have a discussion to find out if it matched up with what I was looking for.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
You’d have to ask ArtVersion.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them Fall 2014 and have been working together since.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Going on my interactions with them, they were responsive, had the right mix of creative insight and ideas, and worked back and forth with me on what I wanted to do.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
I needed someone who could work on my timetable and also come up with some original ideas, but also take my feedback. That all worked great. They were really realistic about how long things would take in a range and for the most part, any delays that came up were due to me, not them. They were flexible as well, which is important to a small business.
What distinguishes ArtVersion from other providers?
They’re small enough that they were able to listen to what I needed and wanted and react over the course of our time working together well, as well as bring in some of the big, larger experience they’ve had with bigger firms. It was clear to me that they had done the things before that I needed done and had the experience I needed.
Is there anything ArtVersion could have improved or done differently?
Nothing comes to mind. I have no complaints. My views on them are all positive.

The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
New Vision Display is a manufacturer of custom display and touch solutions. Our headquarters are based out of Roseville, CA, with manufacturing in China, and additional sales and technical support offices across the US, Europe, and China. We manufacture for OEMs within the automotive, consumer, industrial, medical, and other markets.
I am the Marketing Supervisor at NVD, responsible for developing and managing the company's marketing objectives (trade shows, SEO campaign, advertising, press releases, branding, and more).
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
During our rebranding campaign in 2015, we set out to update our outdated website. The old website was over 3 years old, had outdated information, was too cluttered, was not mobile or tablet compatible, and was ultimately not up to modern standards and appearances. It also had terrible SEO, and we knew that we needed to update it in order to reach our target audience. We decided to build it from scratch rather than try to modify the existing since newer website formats (Wordpress, etc.) were able to better support our objectives.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ArtVersion redesigned our website using a WordPress template. Aside from SEO, we also wanted it to be compatible with mobile devices, which was also completed. They came up with a few designs based on the conversations we had around the site’s look and functionality. We maintained a dialogue throughout the process and reviewed ArtVersion’s work. They also created our logo and a sales brochure for the company.
ArtVersion also added a Twitter feed on our website. There are links to our other social media pages, and the site has Google Analytics integration, which allows us to track visits. We handle our own marketing on the website, through blog posts and other content. We have also hired a different SEO company.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
We found ArtVersion online, which is a good sign that they knew something about SEO. I searched for companies within our region. I wanted to work with a group I could meet in person. We also interviewed a couple of other designers, but I received the best feeling from ArtVersion. We had some initial in-person meetings where ArtVersion listened thoughtfully to understand the scope of our project, and our business' needs. They were able to work within our budget. They were the most modern, especially with SEO and compatibility on smaller devices. They seemed the most capable to handle our needs and also had the most forward-thinking approach that we felt we needed to take our website into the modern day.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Our traffic is continually growing, and it’s definitely seen a jump since changing over the website, and since hiring the other SEO company. We used to barely get any visits, and weren’t discoverable on Google, even when searching for our products by name. It was as if we were non-existent, but we currently show up all the time for different keywords.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed well. ArtVersion’s people are good communicators and are capable of doing what we’re asking them to do. It took a lot longer to complete than we were expecting, but it was mainly because of the content-building on our end. We had wanted to launch the website within a few months, but there was a lot of unexpected work on our end. ArtVersion got things back to us within a reasonable time and made it easy to understand what was going to happen next.
What did you find most impressive about ArtVersion?
Their professionalism. ArtVersion was extremely pleasant, thoughtful and accommodating with our website re-build project. We were very happy with the final design, and are still happy over 2 years later. They've also been accommodating to help provide website support and training throughout the last 2 years.
Are there any areas ArtVersion could improve?
Before starting this, I had never built a website or worked on SEO. I was as green as they get, and a part of the project required searching for a web hosting service. ArtVersion simply asked us who our web host was. Also, for the backing up of our website, I would have liked a bit more hand-holding. We went a year without a backup until a friend asked me about the issue. We could have lost everything, so I would have liked some advice on the maintenance of the site. It wasn’t necessarily ArtVersion’s fault, but those were big parts about hosting a website I hadn’t known about. I did learn about them, but I had to do it the hard way.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am a product manager for a real estate software platform company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
We wanted to compete on a national level with a rich design that separated us from other local and national websites.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ArtVersion took the vision of what we wanted to do in the space and made it a reality. They provided two main services: overall design and UX/UI elements. They took our vision into consideration and ensured that user’s interactions with our site made for a natural, intuitive experience. The platform was designed from scratch, based on some basic wireframes showcasing our overall idea.
We had a locally-made logo which ArtVersion completely transformed, and brought to our expectations of current market standards. They weren’t involved with the tagline, but they did provide copy using an on-staff expert who transitioned our technical information into common, easy-to-understand verbiage.
We’re trying to take a complicated process for buying and selling homes and simplify it down to a software program. We provide individuals with all the tools for marketing their listings and selling homes with all the necessary documents. We integrate our system with smart homes.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
There are many designers who can create websites, magazines, or whatever the case may be, but we were specifically looking for good UX and UI design. I have been a marketing director in the past, and I was familiar with user experience and interface design and how much that mattered in the software. We could have the best platform in the world, but, if it wasn’t easy to use and understand, no one would use it. My criteria whittled the options down to 10% of the designers on the market who would have this type of experience. ArtVersion came recommended from another developer who had worked on a project, and who said that their team was amazing. Thankfully, they were available at the time, given that there aren’t too many designers willing to take on a startup UX/UI project in our specific niche. Most are redesigning or remaking software which is already on the market.
How much have you invested with ArtVersion?
The cost of their work has been between $10,000 and $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with ArtVersion 9 months ago. The engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We’re currently in a pre-startup phase and are taking on a large project in terms of development. There are zero users on the platform, as such.
As far as ArtVersion’s design goes, there hasn’t been one person who hasn’t loved the work.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
We were able to have meetings about the design work which needed to be done, and, one week later, have it delivered.
What did you find most impressive about ArtVersion?
The time they took in order to really digest the vision of what we were looking to do. ArtVersion became really familiar with our business plan and overall ideas. They also gave us directions which we, as owners and founders, could truly consider. They have a long-term game with us, and we continue to maintain contact to this day.
Are there any areas ArtVersion could improve?
They delivered well on everything else, so, if there were any chinks in the armor, they were easily overlooked. One of the investors in our startup was so happy with the design that they actually hired ArtVersion on a project for their own company.

ArtVersion created multiple WordPress sites and a comprehensive branding package, designing a digital logo and print materials for engagement. They now provide content management and web enhancements.
The flagship website now attracts over 100,000 visitors per month, paralleling an increase in revenue. ArtVersion’s expert technical guidance, adaptability, and proactive project management continue to impress in this long-term engagement.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder of Sensational Color. I offer my expertise in using color, and most of my customers are in the home or design industry—paint, roofing, and door manufacturers. I also consult with media companies like magazines, doing a fair amount of writing and providing information about color for a range of projects.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
I needed to update my logo. I’d worked with 2 other companies on this and had some ideas, but I never loved their outputs. It never felt like their designs represented my company. I got in touch with ArtVersion, had a conversation, and they updated my logo in a way that met my expectations.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ArtVersion updated my company’s logo in a 2 ½ hour collaborative session. The result was perfect, and I can’t imagine changing it. I felt that they understood me and my business and had a better eye for color compared to the 2 previous groups. ArtVersion’s work communicated exactly what I wanted to say about my brand and myself.
They developed an entire branding package for me, including letterheads, envelopes, and notecards. I like to send handwritten notes to clients and at speaking panels. ArtVersion also created new business cards for me, which I’ve kept even after moving locations. They made my website and blog, and we plan to relaunch it soon. I had 5 websites at once, but helped me to bring this down to 2 websites, which are more effective.
I like to experiment with things myself, and I make a mistake once in a while. They’ve been there constantly to bail me out when I had a problem. The team is always responsive and never made me feel like a burden.
I had a blog back when few people did, and ArtVersion created designs back when we were working with HTML directly. Since then, they’ve worked with me on my own website and company projects and for multiple client projects. I never hesitate to recommend them, and my clients have always been happy with their work.
My website was originally content-focused to share my expertise. I’ve written thousands of pages, and ArtVersion helped me manage this massive amount of content. Artversion helped me build a directory for my design training program graduates. I now also have an online educational platform that’s become a big part of the business.
I’m always trying to do a variety of things, and ArtVersion has somehow always guided me from an idea to its technical execution. I have figured out some things along the way, but I’m not a programmer, so I mainly leave the work to ArtVersion.
Currently, we use WordPress primarily for several of my sites. In the past, we used Joomla!, as well as another platform that we turned away from, once I understood what ArtVersion could do.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
I don’t remember how we found each other originally. I believe that I discovered ArtVersion on my own, after seeing a website they’d done.
How much have you invested with ArtVersion?
The cost of their work has been around $15,000–$20,000 per year.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with ArtVersion in 2006.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?
When I started working with ArtVersion in 2006, 600 people visited my website each day, on average. That might seem low, but it was actually good at that time and made others envious. Today, my website has over 100,000 visitors on a monthly basis. ArtVersion helped me build my business. From a revenue standpoint, they understand what I’m trying to do as far as sharing my expertise.
Now, after adopting a different model of selling educational courses, they’ve shown me what changes I need to make. I plan on relaunching my website within the next 60 days, and the new version will reflect ArtVersion’s insight based on my new goals.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve worked with 2 types of vendors: those who are gone after 1–2 projects because they’re not the right fit, and the people who live up to my expectations, with whom I will work for a very long time because they continue to meet and exceed what I expect. I am not the best project manager, given the multitude of things going on in my business, so I depend on ArtVersion to take the work and run.
They touch base with me at key decision points. I never felt that they misdirected my intent. Even though we don’t agree 100% of the time, when ArtVersion brings me something, I can provide feedback and make the right changes. They’re great at meeting deadlines, even when they’re not ideal, which is why I’ve recommended ArtVersion to my clients. They always stick with project estimates, except when I or the client didn’t include everything in the original scope.
What did you find most impressive about ArtVersion?
Many firms can run a project and offer good customer service, but ArtVersion’s team stands out through the talent of their team. They’re up-to-date and forward-thinking. As a small-business owner, I couldn’t even begin to tap into this. For a much larger project or company, I can imagine that whatever they’d put together would be impressive.
My son is moving to Minnesota in the summer, and I’ve told him that we have to visit ArtVersion’s office on the way. I feel like they’re almost a member of our family. They’ve been great over the years, and I was actually able to work with ArtVersion remotely for the first several years. To me, being able to communicate clearly with a client and understand their style and goals, even when we haven’t sat together face-to-face, says a lot.
Are there any areas ArtVersion could improve?
After all this time, we’ve maintained a strong relationship. They know me, and I know them, so nothing comes to mind.

transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a design and manufacturing company that specializes in high-end forms of recognition such as awards and other types of custom recognition products.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtVersion?
They've been able to help us with development tasks at every stage for anything we needed over the last decade.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We've done a lot of work with them over the last decade. They handle design work from A to Z. They’ve assisted with our first website all the way to our last website. We've done rebranding work with them, as well as e-commerce buildouts, database management, and website migration. We have a website right now with over 40,000 URLs. They built that for us, as we've become exhausted with trying to manage things like that internally. Now, we're creating a mobile-friendly website that's much less complicated than what we’d built before.
My company was involved in overall management, making sure that the mission and vision of the project that we were trying to build were executed. ArtVersion worked on the design and assisted our internal marketing team in making sure that certain things were specifically hardcoded into the website—not just a modified WordPress template. They have a development team that's helped us make custom modifications to the site.
The current website is 2-pronged. One side acts more as an agency, so it shows more of our capabilities, recent projects we've done, and case studies. The other side is an e-commerce store with different products that we stock in-house. We decided to use Magento as the background infrastructure.
The issue was that we needed the agency site to be built on WordPress, but there were so many out-of-the-box things that were done to it. We wanted to make sure that both of those themes had synchronization and didn't look like 2 different companies. ArtVersion did an awesome job of making sure that the Magento e-commerce store seamlessly functioned with the agency side of the business.
We’ve worked with everyone from ArtVersion. I appreciate that they’re able to build ad-hoc teams around a project and serve any needs that the project encounters in different ways.
Sometimes we're dealing with designers, and other times we’re working with copywriters, developers, and coders. Occasionally, we work directly with the CEO of their company, Goran, and really challenge our original design. They give us the resources of their firm, from top to bottom, to make sure that we reach fruition.
How did you come to work with ArtVersion?
When I started the business, I didn't have a large budget. I was referred over to Goran, and he kindly helped me when I didn't have a lot of money. He bent over backward to make sure that his resources were available to me from the beginning.
The relationship has been amazing over our 10 years together because he's been loyal from day 1. His entire firm has done great work. What started as a word-of-mouth referral turned into an amazing relationship.
How much have you invested with ArtVersion?
We’ve spent at least $300,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them about 11 years ago.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?
We started with a specific vision of what we wanted, and they helped us execute that. Did the quality of their work help us attract a lot more traffic and a bigger user base? Absolutely. But, I’ve never really analyzed specific metrics related to their work. Our business is often custom, so it involves minimal SEO and long networks. I'm trying to create a showcase of the different things that we can do.
They offer great feedback to keep me on track. I'm more of a visionary, and I have a tendency to lose touch easily. ArtVersion isn’t afraid to push me or challenge me when I need to hold a client accountable. That has been huge because I know of other firms that let customers freewheel and turn into an extreme financial burden because they didn't have the professional responsibility of holding them accountable. That's something that I really appreciated—their sincere professionalism. They make sure that if we start a project, we stick to it.
How did ArtVersion perform from a project management standpoint?
We've only gone over our timelines on a few occasions, and I think I'm at least 80% at fault in those situations. For the most part, they've been great about putting together a schedule and making sure that we stick to it. If we hit a roadblock, we reassess and find a new schedule.
In terms of project management, I'm used to getting answers on the same day, typically with how many hours of work something will need, the agency’s quote, and completion date. I don't really know if other firms are more complicated, but it's been like that for me from day 1.
What did you find most impressive about ArtVersion?
They have a down-to-earth attitude that blends professionalism with friendliness. They’ve never tried to take advantage of our relationship, which I've respected. In fact, they’ve often come back saying that my original budget is too high for a certain project.
Are there any areas ArtVersion could improve?
They don’t always have the capabilities I need. We’re a growing business. For a few projects, they admitted that they didn’t have somebody in-house who could handle the work. They’ll offer to reach out to colleagues and friends to help, but if I want to go with another firm who specializes in that area, they won't be offended.
