I am one of the Company Directors for a new streaming application that involves hundreds of people from the entertainment industry.

We had a new idea about how to evolve the arts, because when Covid hit, the live show business industry was the first to be hit and likely the last to come back. We need Applify to create and design an app and website that would be easy to use and function well with multiple users at one time.

We wanted to launch the app within 6 months of engaging to Applify (which we are on course to do) and we want to sign up hundreds of users within the first year. We want a user friendly platform that is simple and effective and runs smoothly.

We compared numerous companies during 2 months of our selection process and found Applify was the best in terms of communication and price, and they had a good handle and vision on the project we wanted to create.

After engaging Applify, we had a few meetings to focus on our goals and what could be done in the time allowed. Since we are a new company, we did rely on Applify's knowledge in this area and they delivered with useful information and honest opinions about what would work and what wouldn't.

Applify delivered a series of wireframes after discussion with many team members and then went about developing the wireframes into smartphone applications, tv apps and a website with a backend. Changes and feedback was always encouraged.

We now are fine-tuning the apps and website and setting up other areas such as payment, video uploads etc. We are on track for delivery.

We initially were contacted by the Accounts Manager who did most of the discussions and we were able to meet one of the CEO's shortly before signing up. We were then introduced to our project manager, a marketing/UX specialist, the developers and designers.

As this was quite a big project, there have been a lot of people to meet but we have always had good communication with our main point of contact; the project manager. We are always able to talk to the Accounts manager as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have had much positive feedback about the design of the app so far. As it is yet to launch we are unable to provide whether it has been a success yet but we are confident in our needs being met and the design and functionality seem to be exactly what we have asked for. We are excited to launch!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have been kept updated regularly and good, clear communication has been a strong theme for this project. We have kept to the timeframes that were outlined from the start and we have been notified asap if something was going to take longer than agreed.

We have used a few different platforms; emails, WhatsApp, asana, etc to see the project in many ways and be contactable easily.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

From the start, we knew that Applify was aligned with our vision. They did their research and made sure that they fully understood what we were wanting to achieve, and they got passionate about it. They had extensive knowledge about what we wanted to build and would help guide us through this process.

They have also gone the "extra mile" with making us priority and supporting us as different situations evolved in the process.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They have been very helpful for the whole process, and now we head towards launching to the world very soon. The design for the app is what we asked for and we look to the fact that it works as good as it looks when we launch.

The app works great.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was awesome. They allowed us to use Asana to communicate with them, which provided very very clear timelines, different chats, and deliverables. This also allowed us to send quick messages whenever something came up, instead of waiting for a more formal call.

This was a huge benefit for us. Their team was always on time, or ahead of schedule, and the project manager always kept us informed and always responded to our feedback (no matter how small it was).

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Applify is a very very sound company. They make organization one of their first priorities, which I think does differentiate this company from others. The project manager had a very clear line of communication open with us, always, and their whole team seemed very much 'on the same page.

Their team was very very flexible with us too, allowing us to changes things very frequently, which I think is also very differentiating. I would absolutely recommend Applify to anyone looking for mobile app design and development.

It was smooth. The entire Project was divided into Sprints and Milestones. Apart from a 1 missed deadline, the Project was executed perfectly as per the plan they gave in the beginning of the project.

As soon as the designs for Thewashing app were shown to us, we knew we were in good hands. We are planning to launch our app within next 6 months and with all the trial tests we are doing we are highly optimistic that it will be a huge success.

I’m happy with APPLIFY and their deliverables. They’re finalizing the app now, but when I was using it, it wasn’t showing me the real-time scenario because the GPS wasn’t updating. I asked them to correct this issue, and now it’s under construction.

I’m the founder of an ad-based platform for top fashion brands and recognized and top restaurants in the Indian market. We want to connect users directly to time-driven deals for specific products. It’s basically a deals-based platform, but has a twist when compared with what’s currently available in the market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

As of now, APPLIFY’s developed a prototype for me, which I need for getting investments and speaking to brands as a proof of concept. We'll be developing the full app in the near future, and they’ll be maintaining it as well.

The quality of work speaks for itself at this point. Clients and investors are excited about what's been done so far. The mobile retail space is one of the toughest markets to crack, so a clean UI/UX is crucial, and they provided us with one.

How did APPLIFY perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re remarkable project managers. We had clear communication, and they made sure we were on the same page. Developers sometimes claim to understand a requirement, but later have to redo the task because they were unsure about something. I didn’t face much of that back and forth with APPLIFY. That's why I intend on working with them in the future.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have offices globally. When outsourcing app development and maintenance, it’s a good thing to see that the provider is also in the global market. That implies that they’re up to date with current standards in terms of UI/UX development, coding, security, and so on. While many can develop an app, few can provide the client management and services that they offer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing particular comes to mind. There’s a sheer difference in quality compared to their competitors, and they’ve still kept a reasonable rate. They’re also open to negotiation, which is always a good thing.

It should be smooth sailing for everyone. Given the difference between them and their competitors in the Indian market, they're the clear best choice.

However, there were some holdups due to me and our team changing functionalities in the app, which Applify advised us on and we moved forward.

We worked well together as we had clear lines of communication and a dedicated manager, who was professional and informative at all times and actually enjoyable to work with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Due to our past bad experience with a previous company, we were slightly nervous about Applify, but those worries quickly faded as we were working with honest professionals with great communication and not a ripoff. We found that they over delivered and surprised us with suggestions of other app functionalities we overlooked.

Yes! Applify team should move to London (Shoreditch) where we can take them out for a drink for there amazing work!

We first had a strategy phase where their team showed us how other streaming apps worked. They suggested using machine learning to power our desired features. APPLIFY then designed the app; they found a way to our chosen gradient color combos and high-resolution backgrounds. Now they’re building the platform for iOS, Android, and the web.

Users will be able to use the app anytime and anywhere. It will track the listening times of specific songs and searches separated by song, artist, and genre. Using this data, it will learn a user’s listening behaviors and generate better suggestions, which the user can then save or customize. Other key features include playing a selected song when the user opens the app; manual playlist creation; and customizable settings for appearance, sound, and other app elements.

The website functions as a phenomenal business card. Being able to give potential clients access to all of my tracks through a single link is a powerful marketing tool. Since the site’s launch, I’ve noticed that clients respond to me with proposals faster and more often. I can’t speak to the specific numbers, but I’ve experienced measurable results thanks to APPLIFY’s work.

With no clear directive from me other than to make it look good, APPLIFY’s designers did their research and took the initiative required to create a unique product. The project manager made himself available to answer my questions and remained responsive throughout the engagement. We communicated via phone and email. Their whole team managed the process well.

They have an amazingly talented design team. I’ve high standards regarding my company’s appearance, but they still performed above my expectations. Also, I don’t know anything about backend development, but they were always patient with me.
